Suggest a Feature

Hi there, I’m interested in using FigJam, but I have some colleagues who make copies for students of a jamboard on google classroom. When I put a copy of a FigJam in classroom, I don’t see make a copy for each student as an option. That feature is a real deal breaker for some of my colleagues. I would have liked it for the Frayer model that they featured… Is it possible to add it? Thanks!

This is not a feature but it’s a request for a new product. It would be useful if there’s Figma for VR products like Apple vision pro. Using Figma with no desks and with any position you want (Standing, setting, reclining…) will make the work much comfortable and decrease back pain problems which is one of the biggest problems in today’s generation.

For instance, when we haven’t created own font styles yet and still working on same drafts, it’s a bit inconvenient to change each text object’s font style. So, I guess, it is possible to change text features all at once. Of course, there might be some moments of inconsistency, because not all of the fonts have its various types, like Noto, Montseratt etc. But anyway, in my opinion, a good solution exists. Hi Figma, I just want to share an idea. I’m so excited about variable updates, especially opacity and radius variable. But it will be better if opacity control is not only for layer, we –especially me– need it for fill.

There used to be icons in the corner of each file (Figma/FigJam) but are gone recently. Any way to enable them back? I can see them in tabs and list view but grid view is my daily driver. With most my files named after project name now i can’t quickly distinguish beetween design document and client brainstorming boards. Ugh.

What are the chances of having an export setting that allows PDF’s to be exported as spreads? Currently its limited to singles as you ‘export frames to PDF’ I know that you can change the view settings to view as spreads in acrobat after export but that only allows the setting to be saved / viewed on your device and not for others who open the PDF unless that too change settings.

Sometimes I use command “Select all with the same property” when I want to select objects in exact area, but Figma select whole objects on page What do you think about feature, that allows select objects with the same properties only in section? I think it will be convenient

right now if you want to build a table, you really have to assemble something that either respects rows or columns more-so and then you sacrifice certain features. For example, if I wanted to build a column that expanded as needed width for the longest element in a column, I need to build a column-centric frame layout… but then if I wanted every single row across a series of columns to expand vertically across all the columns to provide more detailed data on a row of cells, I can’t do that unless I built a row-centric table…

It would be helpful if Admins could buy org level licensing for all users instead of having each user buy a licence ties to their individual user account.

What’s the point of dev mode when you charge for it ??? and dev mode only comes with a designer access which is full editing mode??? WTF of the thinking is that? Dev mode should be fore devs! Let all the dev team in my firm to be able to access that!

When using comment view on Figma slides, I cannot do mostly any other action in the slides like copying, pasting and even skiping/unskipping slides. All of this while not getting feedback from this. I even had some difficulty understanding that was happening because of comment mode. I tought the whole app had frozen. I’m using the native app on a mac if this helps.

Hello! When a Designer requests edit access to a project/branch, the only actions available via the email notification are to Approve or Deny. It would be extremely helpful if the email included a link to the project/branch in question, so the file can be inspected beforehand. In my company, sometimes Branches can have duplicate names and it is impossible to know which branch edit access is being requested for. +

In CSS, adjacent margins can sometimes overlap. This is known as “margin collapse”. Margin collapse occurs when vertically adjacent margins of block-level elements collide to share a general margin space. The larger number margin dictates the size of this shared space. If a margin of 24px collides with a margin of 56px, the 56px margin will win. If a margin of -24px collides with a margin of -56px, -56px will win. This will help prevent unnecessary variants for the functionality of adding/removing space within components. Toggling margin collapse as conditional in auto layout will save time and get design closer to development. Here is more on margin collapse.

It would be cool to add a lock screen with a password to protect from prying eyes on work devices that are not accessible when you go home.

Nowadays, you can apply string variables to component variants. This gave me the idea to also link string variables to text decorations. In this way, you can use one button text style for both the normal state (with no text decoration) and the hover state (with underline). By using modes for the different states. Perhaps this could also be used for other types of settings, such as cases or vertical trim.

Be able to create pages on FigJam files.

When creating an alias variable (variable that points to an existing variable) it would be very useful to preview the existing variable’s values when making the selection. This would make it easier to select the correct variable without having to either recall each value or having to go back and forth between the alias and the referenced variable to validate.

Hi guys, mine is not a request for help but a suggestion. I wanted to tell you that I find it really inefficient that in a large company like the one I work in, there are colleagues who have the new Beta version and others who continue to have the old one, waiting (as you yourselves have communicated) to be updated as soon as possible. This, especially in meetings, is really annoying. My question is why haven’t you updated the beta version per company? This would help us a lot during our daily work by all working on the same interface. I hope you will take my suggestion into account. Regards

It would be great if the shape tool did not add a fill by default. This allows for quick wireframing and makes it really fast to use InVision Freehand for whiteboard jam sessions. With Fig Jam, I need to choose to hide the fill every time, and so do all the collaborators.

We do a lot of synthesis in FigJam for customer support tickets and feature requests. It’s really tedious to bring all the data into FigJam though because I can’t import a CSV or bulk copy / paste issues titles. Would save me so much time!

Need search with name or describe，and Easier unloading

Omg, I just came to realise that presenting a realistic scrilling website prototype for a client or developer is so much extra work. Right now you need to reset the height of the frame then set clipping (because this is just not how you are working while designing). Please Figma Team add viewport height and scroll option like in XD to make this a lot easier for huge UI prototypes with a lot of content and going back and forth right now… I can’t understand how isn’t this a highly voted request. No other ex-XD users in Figma Community? 😃

Hello, I’m frequently using the Plus Lighter and Plus Darker blending modes, and I’ve encountered an issue with adaptive fills. I have a Translucent Fill variable defined as (#FFFFFF - 50% [Light Mode]) and (#000000 - 50% [Dark Mode]). Currently, there’s no way to switch between Plus Lighter and Plus Darker blending modes based on Light or Dark Mode. Is there any plan to support Blending Mode Variables that adapt to different themes? Thank you!
