Please allow us to define the order of properties for a component...I really hate that nested properties are separated without a way to order it to suit my needs. In the example below I want to be able to move the “Status Indicator” properties below “Show Status Indicator” when enabled.
When you invite people you need them to accept the invitation first in order for you to assign a role and workspace. This could take DAYS in order for people to be able to get start working because time it takes to communicate to multiple groups of people, different time zone when they request/when I invite them. It is especially bad with my nature of my organization when you have people come and go constantly. When it could be done within 2 minutes. Please add this feature, I wasted so much time and energy when I could be doing something else.
I haven’t seen it here, but it would be extremely helpful, for Enterprise, to be able to set Workspace, Billing Group, and permissions for Figma/FigJam seats at the time of invitation. Under the current design, I have to invite someone, then I have to wait until they create a profile to then assign seat permissions and workspace/billing group. Then, because I don’t get any notification that the invitee has created the profile, they have to wait until the next time I log in, or contact me again. You can see how much of a time waste (bad design) this is, especially if you’re inviting a group of people who create profiles at different times.
It’s a personal tool that can reflect your workflow and become a source of inspiration. Through these themes, I’m sharing the idea that Figma’s interface can be something everyone experiences in their own unique way.🖼️ The designs are shown in the image below — imagine how you might customize a theme for yourself.Suggestion: This theme system should work like launcher themes in mobile apps — meaning everyone can choose an environment that suits them and pleases their eyes.🗨️ ️ I would very much like to hear your thoughts and feedback!
Is there a shortcut for add variant to a single component? (i.e. starting a multi-variant component from a non-variant component.) I can’t find it. It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for this. ‘Add variant’ is available with right-clicking a non-variant component, but this is the context-menu. If it was in the Mac OS menu I could add a custom Mac OS shortcut but it’s not listed there.
Description: Currently, Figma allows switching between different Modes (e.g., Light/Dark) within a single variable collection. However, there is no built-in functionality to switch between entire Variable Collections dynamically. This limitation makes it challenging to manage multiple themes efficiently, especially in large-scale design systems where different themes (e.g., Default, Gaming, Minimal, Custom) share a common structure but require separate sets of values.Proposed Feature: Collection SwitchingWe propose adding an option that allows users to switch entire Variable Collections in the same way they can switch Modes. This would enable designers to define multiple themes and toggle between them seamlessly without needing to manually update Aliases or duplicate components. How It Would Work:Collection Selector: Similar to the Mode switcher, users can select a Collection (e.g., Theme 1, Theme 2, Custom Theme) from a dropdown in the Variables panel. Automatic Updates: When switching
Hello!I would like to suggest a functionality that would enable us to change the nested instance properties directly from the component that contains them. Here’s an example use-case: Please forgive me if there’s already such a feature or this suggestion is discussed elsewhere, I searched for both possibilities but couldn’t find relative answers.Best!
When I duplicate a page, or when I copy a master component, I want to have the option the “pasted” object to be a master component itself, or the duplicated page to be created with the same relationships between instances & components and to include master components as well. Well, I think I found some solution how this can happen… When I have a master component in a page and I copy paste it into another file, it comes as an instance. BUT when I have a master component AND an instance created from this component in the same page and I copy-paste them both together inside another file, then they come as Master component & instance, and not as 2 instances. 😀
I collaborate with multiple clients and developers, and some of my clients cover the cost of developer seats assigned to their teams. Currently, I’m paying for 2 additional Developer seats and 1 Full seat on a monthly basis, and I need a way to manage invoicing more efficiently.Ideally, I’d like to either: Be able to select which seats I want to receive separate invoices for, and/or Be able to group specific seats together and receive invoices for those groups. This would allow me to forward the appropriate invoice directly to each client for the seats they are responsible for, instead of having to send them a single invoice covering all seats and manually explain which portion they need to pay to me.
Having a design system that uses custom beziers for interactions, it’s quite tedious applying them when prototyping as I have to find the correct values in a separate window and then copy + paste. It’d be great if we could save either custom bezier presets or have some form of ‘easing styles’ that allowed users to save their own presets to be easily applied through prototyping.
It’s annoying that I have to wait until AFTER a user accepts their invite for me to assign their seat type. Current use case: I sent a new hire an invite. When they accept it in a few days, I’ll have to go BACK into Figma to give them a full seat. Why can’t I do it all in one step and save me some time?
Hey I have a style guide and its currently in phase 2, my team has decided to simplify the text styles so I need to merge a lot of text styles together. Is there an efficient method of doing this? Thanks!
Figma mindmaps have improved quite a bit, but there’s still 1 major interaction that makes me keep going back to Whimsical. I cannot press ENTER to add another leaf node! Even Shift + Enter doesn't seems to do that. Figma could easily map one of those as shortcuts :/
Hi all, So in the Config demos we were shown Live interaction features in Figma Slides. Things like polls that people watching your presentation can participate in. Our team is mainly remote, but we have some in person meetings where people present, and a monthly hybrid one where going in person is optional. So it got me thinking, what if you could scan a QR code in the same way you can in tools like Slido? Then virtual attendees could interact directly with the slides, and in person attendees who aren’t at a computer can interact from their phones. Might be something that’s on your radar already but just thought I’d mention 🙂
Since 19 of nov. 2020 I can´t use my mouse to select a slice, only possible from the layers menu. After making a slice with a padding around a layer, I can´t select the slice using my mouse so I can move them, only the layers inside move. I have tried both Chrome, Firefox, and desktop, same, I have tried to get in touch with support via mail since nov 2020, but no answer at all to any of the emails. Am I the only one that have that problem?
Hi! Haven’t seen if anyone have talked about it yet. I think it’d be nice to have an opportunity to edit your images in figma slides and also use blending modes. In the current version of figma slides, i can only add a color tint to a photo. And i see that figma slides does support blending modes in general, because when i go to figma design, edit images there and then put them back to figma slides, it works perfectly. It would be very convenient to use blending modes and image editing functions in figma slides.
I really need to move my annotations around OR at least decide to which side I want them to go.
I am a recent convert from Adobe Suite and I am loving the changes / UI management your software provides. My only gripe, and this could be because of my lack of understanding of your software, but the Slice tool needs a re-work. For context, I took a full page screen shot of a website. I am creating new sections of a homepage but I am planning on injecting new sections in between the old sections of the website.I currently have to make Slice selections around portions of the image I’m selecting, and then export those slices to then bring those export slices back into Figma. My friend told me another method when you can use the Shape tool and Mask the image to the Shape to accomplish this functionality. Yet to section out all the website using this method would require me to copy and paste the original image / masked group multiple times making my Figma file / section management way more robust than just Slicing different shapes of the original image. I know there is probably a method t
As an Admin, I want configuration a setting that can be set which automatically downgrades inactive users, whose “Last Edit activity is greater than XX days”, to a View-restricted status.
Hey there! Is there a way to not have any background color in Figjam sections, and just have the grid visible ? Context: I use section to distinguish blocks in my FigJam. But I don’t want to have to fill the background with a color (white/grey/etc.) as this creates unwanted contrast with screenshots → worse readability
Is there a reliable way to ensure that presenting a Figma Slides deck or Figma design file in Presentation mode, can be done offline and that all videos, transitions etc will show as per the online version? My clients are requesting this, as it would allow them to be in remote places but with the deck safely downloaded. We have noticed that if we open the deck, run through the full thing and load everything, then go offline, it will work like this, but wanted to enquire if there was an offline mode option available. Thanks so much!
As the title says.We work with branches and do not work inside the screens themselves as it's easy to lose what's part of the handover and what's not for both devs and designers. Therefore, we have a separate "Handover"-page where we display what's relevant for the specific task/ticket. To make this work more seamlessly with merging branches later, we turn some screens in components and copy the instances to this "Handover"-page. However, the annotations do not come along with it and requires us to annotate twice - on both the component and the instance.
Currently there’s no way to have different prototype settings (device mainly) within pages. I have to rely on creating different pages for desktop and mobile flows. Which is not efficient for large companies where you’re working on so many features.Would love to have a feature where your flows automatically adapts device setting based on frame size. So I could basically have desktop prototype and mobile prototype side by side.
Hi! I would like to suggest a feature for creating and modifying graphs/charts natively on Figma.I design a lot of dashboards on a daily basis and unfortunately, each chart I encounter, I have to manually create and then use them as just placeholders (and sometimes the devs and stakeholders really need to see the real numbers on the designs, and it takes a lot of time to modify them).I would love it if there were a tool on Figma that allowed us to:Create (at least) pie, donut, line and bar charts; Export and import the chart data as .csv; Modify chart data and have it changed in the chart design; Apply styles and variants to the chart design; Enable chart legend.PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator have this type of functionality, so it would make sense to have it on Figma too.
The year is 2025 and we still don't have the option to organize our files ourselves... frustrating!A segmentation feature ("templates") was released (I believe, to meet this need) where it is possible to distinguish between icons, illustrations, shapes, colors. However, unfortunately, we were not given the autonomy to do this ourselves. In other words, this predefined segmentation of "icons, illustrations, shapes, colors" is only valid for public files that have been published in the community.I've seen some people reporting here how horrible it is to deal with files in Figma when you are an agency or when you are working in a team, but in fact this lack of autonomy when managing files is also felt by a solo user like me who likes to switch between different types of icons, illustrations, mockups, 3D images, style guides, design systems, etc., but cannot do this easily because the files are scattered throughout the interface with filters of questionable quality. Finally, my feature sugg
