Sorry for the long message, but it's really important, so I wanted to share the full story.I believe the option to trigger auto width and auto height text resizing via the command palette was unintentionally overlooked. This feature fits naturally with other text-related actions already available in the palette and should be included for consistency and usability.Adding it would not impact the UI or workflow for anyone who doesn’t use it, but for those who do, it can be a significant efficiency gain. It’s a small fix with meaningful benefits, and optional shortcut support would be a welcome addition.Currently, for every text element, we have to manually change the default resizing settings. On UI screens with many text boxes, this becomes a repetitive and inefficient process that adds unnecessary clicks and slows down the workflow.Adding a command to the command palette for auto width and auto height would solve this without affecting the interface or existing behavior. It’s a non-inva
You can do that right now like this:https://forum.figma.com/ask-the-community-7/how-to-delete-a-variant-property-26406?postid=51847#post51847But there are a couple of problems:1. You will lose the component description2. It doesn't feel right in general having to do it this way (moving the variant out of the component) when you should be able to do it the same way you can ungroup elements. I already created a post to suggest this feature, but then I realized I created it as a question and I recreated it to make it a conversation instead.I’m going to ask admins to delete that post for me so we can keep this one instead.
1. Describe the bug/issue you’re running into? I cannot modify the thickness of lines, both in arrows and in figures 2. Are you able to consistently reproduce it? If so what are the steps? select object or line and when the options appear, there is no tool to change the thickness 3. Share a screenshot, recording, console log, link to the file, etc. 4. Is the issue only happening in desktop app or a specific browser , or both? i think only on browser 5. What OS/version and/or browser/version are you using? mac os mojave version 10.14.6, google crome
When trying to add an interaction to a frame (such as On Click > Back), I would expect clicking the (+) icon on a frame to allow me to edit interaction properties. Instead, you have to go to the right pane to do this.XD had something like this and thought it was convenient. Seems like an easy win to me.
When I was working on large-scale projects, I found that some design drafts often couldn't be done with Figma and were made using Photoshop. However, I needed to display them in my Figma design drafts for members of the project team or developers to view. But at this point, I have two solutions: one is to convert PSD files to PNG photo format, and the other is to convert all design drafts to third-party annotation software. So my idea is whether Figma can develop a PSD parsing function. If this function takes too much time, can it provide a thumbnail image for viewing PSD annotations or a plugin like function? What do you think? I often experience lag in Figma UI 3.0, which is not as smooth as before
Allow branching of branches to allow for feature branches from the development branch and development branches from the master branch. This would be closer to what we currently have in Git and would allow for more control. The development branch could represent all reviewed and approved feature design work that had been done but not necessarily released live in code. The master branch would represent what is live in production.
The ‘Team Fonts’ feature provides a centralized font library, allowing team members to share and manage commonly used fonts. Through this feature, teams can ensure consistency across all design documents, while also making it easier for team members to find and use the fonts they need. For instance, fonts unique to Mac users can be uploaded to the ‘Team Fonts’ for sharing with Windows members. We believe this feature can further enhance Figma’s user experience, especially for teams with a substantial need for font resources. We look forward to Figma considering our proposal and are willing to provide further feedback and suggestions to help refine this feature.
Hello Figma Team,As we continue to build more detailed and complex components using the properties panel, we’re finding it increasingly difficult to maintain visual clarity and organization—especially when there are multiple variants or nested properties. While the original designer might understand the structure, it becomes quite inefficient and confusing when collaborating with other team members or handing off to developers. It would be incredibly helpful if we had the ability to add custom dividers or section separators within the properties panel. Even a simple visual line or labeled grouping would significantly improve usability and communication within teams. Is there any plan to support this kind of feature in the near future?
Is there a way to save local copies as .figs from file browser without having to go into each one individually? Thanks!
Add oportunity to use CURSOR or others AI Code Agents into the Figma Make to give ability to code in different languadges directly in figma. Or made something like MCP integration inside Figma Plugin in VS Code
Hello, I find myself using “Nudge Amount” very often, and it’s not quite efficient as I have to switch it very often. I was thinking it would be perfect to have the nudge amount settings per page. Many thanks!
Right now in Buzz if you give someone a template and want to let them swap out an image, they can only Upload an image from their computer to “replace” the image, OR drag in an image from a library from scratch, but it won’t replace the existing image.Uploading an image from your computer is a good way to replace, but we want to give content editors a library of images to choose from that we curate.Ideally in this view there would be a Library icon, and then we could choose a photo from a Library to replace the image. This feels like a big miss compared to Express, which handles this much better.
Problem:I love annotations, but having to select a category and property each time with my mouse is painful. It’s the main reason I have stopped using them - by creating my own annotation, I can just option + drag to create a copy of an annotation that has the category or property I’m looking for, and skip a step. But this is also not ideal. Solution:Let me add annotations without having to take my hands off my keyboard after I click on what I want to annotate!Suggestions:Default categories and annotations based off of what I just did Smart suggestions for annotations or categories Shortcuts for assigning categories or annotations Slightly more complex shortcuts for initiating annotations (such as: 1. Shift+t to go select the annotate cursor 2. Press and hold shift to duplicate last annotation category, then click 3. Press and hold option to duplicate last annotation property, then click 4. Press and hold shift and option to duplicate both ) After Shift + t, Click + hold to see categor
How can I hide the Layers panel in Figma’s new UI?I mostly work in the Design panel, so hiding the Layers panel would give more canvas space. It was easy in the previous UI.
Hi, you know how it is. Sometimes you have to repeat the same actions over and over again on a whole lot of objects. I would love to have an AI powered assistant that understands what I’m trying to achieve. After doing the same thing twice, I should be able to tell Figma, “Hey, do the same for these 250 selected items!”
Figma’s SVG export of center-aligned text results in a <tspan> with default left alignment, such that center alignment is not preserved when the tspan content changes. Ideally, the tspan would have text-anchor="middle" and an x attribute value based on the middle of the original Figma text element’s horizontal location such that tspan content changes would be continue to be centered aligned.
Feature Suggestion: Lightweight 3D Tools in FigmaI’d love to see Figma explore basic native 3D functionality — not full modeling, but something lightweight and useful for UI/UX designers. For example, a tool that allows 2D layers to be "extruded" into simple 3D objects, with the ability to rotate them along axes like X, Y, and Z (ZX, YX, etc.). Maybe a generator that converts 2D shapes into pseudo-3D models with light shading, shadow, and basic rotation/animation capabilities. It would be amazing to preview UI components or icons in a 3D-ish environment inside Figma itself, especially for designers who can’t afford external tools or plugins.Even if this is introduced in a limited or lightweight way — it could be a creative breakthrough for many of us. Thanks for considering this!
After putting stickers, I expect the pane to keep opening instead of directly closing. Closing only takes one step which is clicking outside, meanwhile opening it agian requires me to reach the bottom toolbar first and then click the sticker menu. I’m annoyed with this because I need to drop stickers in bulk when creating something in FigJam
Currently you can’t sort by most upvoted at all here in this Figma forum. It would be nice if you could.
This is how Adobe XD does this: https://youtu.be/t3qb9oaQ9A0?si=haBcW75aux_30Sx_&t=66
I tried out the new light and dark themes but unfortunately now there is no way to return back to my default theme that I know and love. Please add a ‘Default’ theme so I can return back to the best theme of all. Both of the light and dark themes don’t even compare to the previous default.
When I Go to Main Component and make my adjustment, I love the link back to the instance of the component. Love it. Any chance that when I move a component or page to another page and I see the notification, that I can click it and go to the page where the component has been moved? Still I can click the page in the left column, but the notification is right there and similar to returning to the component. Thanks! Appreciate all you do.
Showing the view history on Prototypes will be very useful along with their name and Profile picture and Time.
I’m constantly working with 10-15 tabs open in Figma. Several are usually libraries, some figjam audits or flows, along with project files. It would be helpful if there was a way to group the tabs so I know at a glance which files are related to one another (without having 3 separate Figma windows). So if I have 12 files open and they’re split between 3 projects, how do I quickly recognize where one project ends and another begins? I was thinking color, but that may not be accessible. Thoughts?
create the ability to view annotations only for the selected layer, and not for all at once, this is very inconvenient when there are too many annotations
