Hi.

I guess it’s time to Bump this up once again.

  • In the “Share this prototype” dialog, could there be a checkbox “Hide Figma UI”?
  • While this is true just append the &hide-ui=1 to the url query in the share link

Bump, and want to also add:

As well as appending &hide-ui=1 to the prototype URL, you might want to set “fit to width”, hide the UI and then copy the URL. Otherwise if it doesn’t fit their screen they won’t know how to show the top bar again to fix that 😬

This is still a huge pain point. Either move the design down

Shortcut to hide UI is taken by another application on my system. I need to manually open the menu and select hide ui each time. Very annoying.

I'd like to provide feedback about an issue with the full screen prototype view that's affecting the user experience when testing web app prototypes.

Issue view: https://ik.imagekit.io/n88vmharh/Improve%20full%20screen%20view%20-%20Figma_ve9y6-DZa.mp4

Issue: When viewing prototypes in full screen mode, hovering the cursor near the top of the screen triggers Figma's menu bar to appear. This is particularly problematic when testing web app prototypes that have their own top navigation menus.

The Problem:

  • Web apps typically have navigation menus at the top of the screen
  • When users hover over these prototype menu areas during testing, Figma's own menu bar appears instead
  • This interrupts the natural user flow and makes it difficult to properly test the prototype's intended navigation behavior
  • It creates confusion between the prototype's UI elements and Figma's interface

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Would love to hear your thoughts and any workarounds you've found!
