Branching - loading all conflicts in the same time

I use branching to update the component library. Because we are adjusting multiple components simultaneously, and some take longer to design or there are simply longer breaks (holidays, prioritization, etc.), it could be very painful to merge changes from the main file to the branch. Especially when the changes are not all loaded at the same time. Now, I have to click on one conflict, wait x minutes to load another, select it, wait again, etc. This process is highly ineffective and consumes a large amount of time. It’s even worse when, after 1 hour of checking the file and resolving conflicts, I receive a message saying that the merge failed. What I propose is to load all the conflicts in one go - even if it takes a longer time - and be able after to go through changes afterward without lagging. Ideally the progress bar would show approximate time or percentage. The ‘Resolve all’ button is not helpful because I want to keep some changes from the branch.

Hide a Frame/Section Name from the published component structure

Please add a way to remove specific names from a component name structure. We organize our files to make the components easy to find and that might include putting it inside another frame but we don’t want that frame name to appear when we’re actually using the component. Just like we have the “_” to show that a component isn’t supposed to be published, let us add a marker to a frame name to have it not show on the component library structure. Example: We have Page/Frame/Component, and renaming it to Page/_Frame/Component would show the component under Page/Component.

Pencil tool shift key straight lines (and for tangent line)

Hello, I am new to Figma and Ui practise. I have a small doubt with pencil tool. While holding shift key and drag mouse I get vertical and horizontal straight lines. But, I can’t get tangent straight lines with the help of this. Can anyone please show how to draw tangent straight lines in Figma with pencil tool.

contrast checker wrong

The contrast checker is wrong as far as I can see.  I checked the same colour on the same background in the same element and got 2 different reading. One said pass and one said fail and the pass was 3.29:1 when a pass should be 4.5:1

Can we have a way to undelete comments

It would be nice to have a way to undelete a comment. I accidentally deleted a comment when I meant to resolve it. I could not get the comment back. I could not even Undo deleting the comment.Can you please add a trashcan like feature to recover deleted comments?

Nested property hidden with multiple selection

Been playing around with the “expose nested properties” feature currently in beta. One of the great uses of variant properties is the ability to batch edit property values on multiple selected components. That use doesn’t carry over to exposed nested properties (yet I hope). Demo file to help When selecting one component instance exposing nested properties, said properties display fine. Add another instance of the same component to your selection (using Shift+Click), and the nested properties outright disappear from the right panel. I haven’t seen this issue raised elsewhere! Do you experience it too?

Rewire the ORIGIN of a prototype wire

I absolutely cannot believe it’s not as easy as selecting the prototype wire and then grabbing the origin circle and moving it to another element, just like you can do with the destination (arrowhead).Please give me a use case where it’s more common for users to want to create another interaction of the same element going to a different destination than it is for a user to rewire an origin point.The only use case that springs to mind is when wiring up internal component variations, but I always do that via the Interactions palette and select the variation from the pull-down menu rather than manually drag the connections. Maybe I’m not the average user here, but it seems like Figma could have easily reimagined their wiring UI to facilitate changing the origin. Like make that the default behaviour and then add Opt/Alt to create a new wire from the same origin.

After delay transitions don't work in component variants

I have a scenario. I have a form in which I want to submit a comment. The comment object is on the screen and is a component with 3 variants: 1 > hidden (note-hidden) This is the component on the screen where it is at 0% visibility and 1px tall. 2 > transition state where it looks yellow (note-transition) Note is full size but is a yellow tone. 3 > the final state (note-default) The note is in it’s normal state. When I tap the submit on the form button I use a variable to change the variant from note-hidden to note-transition. The variant “note-transition” has an after-delay action to change it from yellow to the normal color. This is the old school 37Signals yellow fade pattern. The issue is that when I use a variable to change the variant, the “after delay” doesn’t work and it just stays as the “note-transition” state. My take is that this transition should trigger and it’s a bug.

Add keyboard shortcut to toggle annotations visibility

In our flow, we try to use annotations to describe data paths for components and text fields. In some cases the dev mode UI becomes cluttered. A keyboard shortcut to toggle annotation visibility would solve this issue and also align the toolbar option with the others around it. As this is targeted to developers, they find more comfort into using the keyboard more. Side-note: i think there is a small bug: in a section, with multiple frames that contain annotations, the selected frame will have the annotations visible. But if no frame is selected, one of them will have the annotations visible. I don’t see a clear algorithm regarding the winning frame here.

Hide Responses in Slides

I’ve been loving Slides for getting quick user feedback. However, it looks like the Poll and Alignment widgets may preview what other audience members have voted when you hover over options. Would it be possible to hide responses from other voters until they are revealed by the presenter to reduce bias?

Figma Mirror for TV (Android TV and AppleTV)

I have been designing for set-top boxes for several years now. And it is very convenient to do it through the transmission of the screen to the TV. But, there is no official support for Figma Mirror for TV sets. Many times I wrote to support and asked, but I always got the answer that there is no support. The most interesting thing is that Figma Mirror works perfectly on Nvidia Shield or Google Chrome (last generation) set-top boxes. You only need to put the app through aptoide. But with each time figma mirror refines the functionality for the phone, which severely degrades the functionality in TVs. For example, last year, after another update, the Remote Control for prototyping stopped working on the TV. It was very convenient to make a prototype, connect the buttons on the remote, and control the app. It felt like you were really using an out-of-the-box app. But it doesn’t work anymore. The second example happened with the last update. There was onboarding, which doesn’t allow you to

Moving All Comments with Your Selection Area

Is it possible to have all comments within your click-and-drag selection area move?Currently, if comments are pinned on an actual frame, they’ll move with it, but it would be nice for comments outside of a frame to move as well as sometimes I like to leave comments right outside my actual design (sometimes a bunch of comments can get in the way and be distracting when designing or reviewing designs with others). In another example, when I’m organizing my page, clicking and dragging to select a group of items in figma should move everything in that area (think maybe a few components, groups, frames, scattered comments outside of frames moving all at the same time). Would make this process lot more easier and efficient instead of having to move outside comments one at a time!One more nice-to-have is if the “undo” feature works on comments too to remove comments you didn’t mean to put or put it back from where you last moved it.

Regarding the trial of code connect

I see that the Code Connect feature is currently only available in the Enterprise or Organization plans, which only support annual billing. This is quite a significant expense for my team. I need to be cautious before committing to this feature without experiencing it first. Could I request a trial opportunity before paying for it? Additionally, is there any plan to include this feature in the Professional Team package? Thank very much~

'Duplicate’ and ‘Delete’ options for variables are too close and easy to misclick

When I try to duplicate a variable, the "Delete" and "Duplicate" buttons are placed next to each other and look identical , I often miss and accidentally delete it… (

Missing Option to Remove Profile Picture in Figma Account

Hi Figma Team,I love using Figma – it’s an incredibly powerful tool for design collaboration. However, I noticed that once a user sets a profile picture, there’s no option to remove it and revert to the default avatar. Currently, the only options are to change the picture, but not delete it entirely.It would be great if you could consider adding a “remove” or “delete” option, so users have the flexibility to go back to the default avatar if they wish.Thanks for your amazing work, and looking forward to future improvements!

Letter Spacing requires smaller incremental changes

I am playing around with letter spacing. The slider (and when using arrow keys) needs to make adjustments in smaller increments to make it a more user friendly experience. When adjusting letter spacing this is typically a very fragile process with small chnages made in either direction. Ideally I want to keep this active and have the ability to make very small adjustments (perhaps with the addition of a hot key / shortcut).I can’t be the only one that feels this way, it just does not feel usable in its current form.(does anyone @figma kern ?)

Colour accessibility not visible when using variable

We use variable for our colour fills for type layers.Unfortunately it is not possible to see if a variable colour is accessible over a background colour unless you detach and open the colour picker, and then reattach..

Enable Dev Mode Annotations Feature for Developers as well

Ok maybe we got that wrong, but it seems that the new Dev Mode “Annotate” and “Measure” Features are only available to designers but not the developers themselves? We’d think it would be very useful for them as well. When the developers want to add some info during handoff, or if we forgot something and they want to add that info later as a reminder etc.

Implement [Fit to Height] Option for FigmaMobile App

Hi, I’m a Gaming Industry UIUX designer, for the longest of time,I’ve been using the web browser to go to figma, view as desktop mode,painstakenly go to the tiny layers, click on the correct frame to enter the Prototype preview mode.The reason why I don’t use the Figma Mobile app is because, unlike the Web Browser version, thereis no way I can fit to height for the layout. [Fit to Height] while allowing width to be responsive is a necessity when designing for landscape mobile games interface. I hope to see this feature implemented so I don’t have to wait till I bring the High fidelity design to the game engine to test things out.

Set default values for Section padding (left, right, top, bottom) instead of a fixed 80px

Need a way to update padding numbers in sections instead of manually resizing it every time. The current padding of 80px look very small in some cases, hence the request. Or if we have any way to do it today, please let me know.
