Let us know what would make Figma better for you.

Can you “teach” the “AI” to automatically check the color of any text block put on something other than the default artboard? It would be amazing to have that specific tool built in instead of having 100 designers each choosing their own color contrast plugins, all of which are a pain in the butt to use.
Let us work with 3D items, we do not need to create complexe shape but at least if we have the Z axis, it will be great
I am facing a lot of issues prototyping dynamic inputs since my work mostly dashboards and systems we need a for loop and a while loop
I suggest Figma add a feature that allows emoji and symbol picking directly in the page rename option. Do you think this would make managing Figma files easier for designers?
pain points:I’d love to request for a way to view all “approved plugins” in UI3 quick action bar. if I do not type in the exact name of a plugin sometimes it also would not show up requests:when user search plugins, offer the approved ones as a priority improve search keyword matching so that close names can also bring up the approved plugin in search results allow users to view full list of approved plugins that are applicable to his/her workspace in case something offering same functionality is already approved.
Right now there's no single-click solution to break (ungroup, detach) a component, as already discussed here My suggestion is simply allow the same keyboard shortcut (CTRL+B) to break apart the main component (turn it into a frame or group) without having to go through the workaround of instancing + breaking + going back to the main component and deleting it.
With our enterprise account, it is very confusing over who has access to what with workspaces, members, and teams. I expect to be able to create teams agnostic to any workspace or project. I could then assign that team to a product, file, or similar object. If it does work that way, I can’t figure it out. I am befuddled as to why I create a workspace, then can’t add members, but only teams. But then the project has 0 members? Forcing me to create a workspace then a project then adding a team results in too much structure. Also, from a permissions standpoint I keep getting my co-workers with a company email address telling me they don’t have access to files when I’ve added them to workspaces, teams, or whatever I can. Please simplify this experience.
Hello, Would it be possible for you all to add the ability to name variants via variables? This way when you are making changes across design system or framework, you can bind everything to a single token...
Hey guys, Zooming to 100% is something I use a thousand times a day. Ctrl+0 is something I have always found extremely annoying. I basically hit the left Ctrl, then take my hand from my mouse and hit the 0 from the numpad. Wouldn’t it be easier to just make it Ctrl+1? Or better yet, let us set this ourselves? Right now Ctrl+1 takes me to the home tab. I have NEVER in my life used this, I find it totally useless, as opposed to Ctrl+0, which I use every few seconds. Ctrl+1 for zoom to 100% is so much easier to use and so much faster, also more intuitive. I never toggle between file tabs using Ctrl and numbers, it’s a completely useless feature imo, but zooming in and out is something we constantly use. Thanks
I am a teacher currently looking for a replacement for Jamboard. I tried Figma for a few months in one of my classes and I like most of its features, but not being able to add more pages is somewhat of a dealbreaker for me. Please consider adding this for educational accounts.
Hello there,As a designer, I would like to play my video or GIF in the design file without having to preview a prototype. I think there are way too many clicks to just see what a motion graphic looks like in action. Overall, it would be awesome to see more video and GIF functions in the design file, including exporting like this thread below:
I was thinking about this when a colleague ask if I saw him in the file. I was in another file that has similar prototypes and searching for him and didn't find him. Then, I realized that I was in the wrong file and started to look through the teams, projects, files, so I could find him. What if, there’s a invitation to file, where I send it to a person and they receive the invitation by the notifications menu, where they could accept or not. This could save a lot of time in meetings.
XD and InVision both had a dedicated grid view to view an entire flow, titled as static screens.Figma needs similar for a quick and orderly view of a flow.
As a PM, I’m using Linear to write my specsI leverage the Linear Figma integration (Copy link to selection is integrated in Linear)I also do a lot of visual specs or focuses in order to illustrate my specsEvery time, I have to duplicate my parent frames in order to focus on a specific detail (if it overlaps across several frames) and insert them in a new one to clip the contentIt could be really great to have the ability to use slice for this (which seems to match my use-case in terms of focusing on parts of the design), and to be able to Copy link to selection to the Slice to leverage the Linear integration (or other tools) with easy refresh access
I want my prototype to fill the screen at any resolution, so I’ve set the “fill screen” option and hidden Figma ui. The problem is that there is always a margin around the frame no matter the window size. When I inspect the code in Chrome it looks like the responsible for those unwanted margins are these two lines: Is there a way to prevent Figma adding those margins?
The quality updates seems less frequent During the last events, no real improvement for the design pipeline were presented A significant decline in performance (I used to run way more complex projects without any issues on smaller configurations… )Also, when we take a look at the “Suggest a feature” section, we got plenty of pertinent ideas with tons of likes, comments and upvotes that seems to be ignored. Anyone else ?Thanks!
I’ve been looking for a solution to this for a while. There are certain components that I use that will always ignore auto-layout. Think tooltips, hover buttons, or cursors. I think it would be really helpful to have a way to set “ignore auto-layout” by default on those components so that when inserted, they could live inside a frame and I wouldn’t have to click on “ignore auto-layout” each time.
I’d love to request a feature enhancement to the branch feature under org/enterprise license. current workflowwork in branch click update from main only see high level changes click apply proposalwork in branch click update from main see high level change click into high level change to see actual diff click apply or fix in main user needwhen apply changes from main, it is hard to know the detailed changed on a frame, esp. when this is an updated from a different team member achieved with a different branch on high level previews, when the change seems to be a mistake, it is hard to know where in the main file should we fix it
When working with colors in the variable selection window, it’s not always easy to remember their exact values, especially when managing multiple projects and frequently switching between them. This complicates the process, as you often need to open the variable menu just to check which color is being used. I propose a simple solution: displaying the HEX code alongside the variable name. This would allow users to see the exact color value immediately, without extra steps. This improvement is particularly useful when working with shades and tints, where it’s difficult to determine the precise color just by looking at it. In my opinion, this change would greatly simplify navigation and speed up color management in projects.
The buttons are too close together, and I often accidentally click on the AI feature instead of the manual rename option.Maybe renaming it to “Rename layers by AI” would help. The “AI beta” label isn’t noticeable enough to distinguish between the buttons.
We need more languages and fonts to be supported in FigJam.
When creating a presentation, our team tends to have mini brainstorming sessions or retrieve useful information from different presentations or design files. We do this by pasting frames, images, text, or any kind of material, freely in the canvas as a reference for new slides. The problem is when pasting 1 or several 1920x1080 frames (same size as a slide) it automatically converts them to a slide (great for most cases, but restrictive otherwise). This means it is forced to align to a row and behave as an slide, when we just want it to have it there “floating” around for a while as we are working on ideas and polishing things up. At the end we create a new version and delete these references so we can have a clean file. I was wishing for the ability to convert a slide into “just a frame” (this means it wouldn’t be displayed in slide view or presentation mode). And maybe a special paste function that ignores slide conversion would be nice. And now that we’re here, I would also include a h
When you select a component that hasn’t been published yet, this button is displayed: But whenever you select two components or more, you can’t publish anymore with this method. You have to go through the typical flow of opening Assets, scrolling through all your components to find what you want to publish, etc. I’m often publishing a few components at the same time because they are part of the same update. I’d love if the “Publish changes” would stay when having multiple components selected. Thanks!
The fact that the content cannot be read is a huge UX issue. There is no way as of now to make it readable. This becomes a problem when your variables all start with the same words.
Our team here at Glassdoor noticed when using the Summarize feature in AI beta that it doesn’t seem to take into account frequency. Because of this missing element, we can’t rely on it to do a great job at affinity mapping with the aspect of how often something was mentioned, for example, in a brainstorm. Has anyone found a workaround for this, or is there a way to submit this product feedback?
