Let us know what would make Figma better for you.

Please tell me if I'm just too used to something else, but this doesn't feel intuitive. It doesn't look like a button, let alone something clickable. I spent days trying to figure out how to bring the properties of a base component into the parent component.Additionally, I have to hover over it to even realize that applying the variable is possible—there's no visual indication of it. You need to hover to discover it.
Thank you figma team for the new list feature! It has been my most anticipated feature for YEARS. There are 2 features that I would love to see to support it. I believe lists should support paragraph spacing between bullets. I am unable to start an ordered list at any number other than 1. Which feels too restrictive. I type 2. and start typing and figma changes it to 1. Does anyone else agree? Is there anything I missed?
Why does Figma lack the necessary features for managing multiple brands, particularly in the Enterprise plan? Many enterprises have more than 40 brands, including product brands, sub-brands, and branded initiatives. Why are these modes limited? Is there a technical issue that prevents Figma from handling more than 40 modes due to memory and performance constraints? In other words, are there limitations related to WebGL, databases, or browser memory that Figma cannot work around? If using modes for multibrand management is not the intended solution, I would appreciate it if Figma advocates could share the most effective and scalable approach for maintaining large design systems in Figma that accommodates more than 80 brands. Thank you.
It would be really helpful and time-saving if we could navigate file pages from the Actions menu (similar to Walker or a similar plugin). This is especially useful when dealing with larger files with multiple pages or for those who like to speed up navigation with shortcuts like myself (and hopefully many others too).It could work like this:Open the Actions menu (either with a shortcut or menu click). Start typing a page name. Matching results start showing up in the results list (under a "Matching Pages" section). Navigate through results using keyboard arrows or a mouse click. Select a page. You're taken to the selected page.Just like we have the All, Assets, and Plugins & Widgets tabs, there could be a Pages tab. That would be awesome!
"Regarding the page names on the left side of Figma, when we are building a component library, each component may have updates. We hope that there can be a tag next to the page name to indicate the 'updated' status. Is it possible for Figma to implement this in the future?"
Variables are great, but it would be handy to be able to apply variables to every property in the design panel. At the moment the options are limited. For example, I can’t use a variable to determine the sweep of an arc.In this case, I have a component, “Progress Circle” It has a property of “Percentage” which is applied to the text. I want to be able to apply a property to the sweep value of the purple arc and use the same variable for the two properties, keeping them in sync.
We are on an Enterprise Licence with Figma, and as part of trying to keep our Figma files secure to external access we have changed our settings so that any public link requires a password. But we have now hit a snag where we have Designers trying to do unmoderated user testing from the Prototype screen which requires a public link so that our testing participants can jump straight in the prototype, however it seems that there is no differentiation between password options for the Figma file and the Prototype view. It would be so useful to keep the Figma file secure, i.e. the link for the Figma file itself requires a password - but the prototype view can have a public link with no password, as participants are refusing to have to create a log-in just to do some testing.
At this time, Figma doesn’t make use of browser back/forward at all. This can make it very challenging to navigate if you interact with comments, or links, especially. The general expectation here is that all places that you’ve visited would be logged in the browser history so that this can be navigated as a webpage should.
Please make this feature available to Professional plan as well. We see value as an organisation to use this feature.
There’s been a number of occasions where I’ve had some ideas that I just can’t prototype in Figma Here’s a couple websites I’ve found that use the scroll-controlled animation/motion effect I’m trying to achieve. Anyways, please ad this Figma! https://www.apple.com/airpods-pro/https://www.caveworld.com/
Currently, Plugins take top z-index over the Edit Properties panels. This makes the Panels unusable when a Plugin is positioned at the right of the design area as the Panels are under the Plugin. Because I prefer and am used to using my Plugins on the right of the design area I have to either close it and reopen for ever use (absolutely ridiculous) or have it out from the side far enough to see the panels when they are opened. IN the case of a large Plugin such as Tokens Studio, this is an enormous amount of screen space even with my ultrawide screen.Simple fix. Thanks!
Is there a feature to auto generate a list of all the sections on a FigJam board and create an overview or “table of contents” section?
I think it would be great to be able to create shortcuts to figma/figjam files within the folder structure. Some files need to be in 2 folders so that different teams can easily find them.
Hi everyone!!! I'm wondering if there is an appetite to have the ability of locking tabs in a file? Sometimes I'm working on a project where certain parts are not ready yet to be shared, so I'd like to lock the tabs (or maybe frames?)
I use FigJam a lot for research, however dealing with references is quite inconvenient. I would love for there to be a citation management tool like Zotero, EndNote or Mendeley just as a plugin for FigJam!
After pasting an animated component into Figma Slides, we realized that right clicking on it does not show the ‘Go to main component’ option.
I want to slice the layers within a frame, but the 'Snap to Pixel Grid' feature is not activated, which makes the slicing process very inconvenient. I would like to know the reason why this feature is no longer available. Please bring back this functionality, as its absence is causing disruptions in my work. When working with Auto Layout and framing the entire page for slicing, I hope the 'Snap to Pixel Grid' feature will be activated. Figma, please take quick action.
The “Start editing” alert dialog seems like a dark pattern. People could accidentally upgrade their seat without realizing it. This wasn’t a necessary addition. Was someone confused about how to upgrade their seats, because if not, this comes across very shady.
I work on our corporate design language system and continuously run in to the issue of designers using the default Figma 10px grid when our system delivers components built on a 4px grid. Junior designers do not pick up on this and it is an issue. Is it possible to prompt users to setup baseline elements (grid / columns, size) BEFORE they can begin their work? Or is it possible to setup Figma in an Enterprise to have design system foundations set in all figma files for designers? Note: I don’t see a use case for a 10px grid default; 8px and 4px are the standard for many design systems so why is this default set to 10?
I am using a FigJam to debrief after user research. There’s a section for each session, and within it stickies for key themes. When I export the stickies to CSV, is it possible to include the Section name as a column for each sticky? This would make referencing back to the sources much easier.
I’m trying to take the certification course ($97) and I got stuck because the menu in the video is different than the menu in the app. See attachment. Of course there isn’t a phone number to call about this. Outside of demanding a refund, I thought I’d try asking here. The Back to Files option at the top of the menu doesn’t exist in my copy. I have the latest version installed. A pet peeve about doing these online courses is there isn’t a a human to contact, and the AI chat bot is an idiot.
I love the Auto-layout feature but is a pity that I need to choose between horizontal or vertical. Why not both? My suggestion is an option inside Auto-Layout called Grid that would allow me to choose the amount of columns and rows and create a grid using a smart layout.
Hello,I get multiple emails like this sample below every day.Why can’t you just put the comments in the email ?I don’t want to have to log in each timeMany times I am away from my desk, and I get emails on my phone, but I do not want to log in to Figma when I am out of my office.ThanksRich2 new comments in XXXX 2025 XXXX 2025 2 new comments from Kkkkk Ooooo View in Figma
I am faced with the following issue, I have lost all the links to font styles within my file. In order to use the version history to understand what happened and maybe to come back to a correct version I have the following problem: I cannot go back to the a selected version, and at the same time see the design panel to view if the font style has been assigned This is impossible as the design panel is covered by the version history panel and therefore I cannot perform my check.
It’s been extremely helpful for devs to be able to add their own annotations during handover. Using comments will only add extra clutter to people’s inboxes with unnecessary notifications
