I communicate back and forth with developers through comments in my figma file and when they reply to one of my comments I get an email notification but it doesn’t show me in the file directly which comments are new from last time. If I open the file up and want to see a birdseye view of which comments are new from the last time I looked, I can’t do that right now. I have to look through all of the comments and look for their first initial to see if they added anything new. This feature would save a lot of time in communication through comments.

When designing using an iPad or touchscreen device it takes a lot of taps to hit the delete button for an object. It would be great if the delete button was located in the context menu so I can long press to access the button. 

With the new Figma Slides i see something that is still happening: The PDFs exports is too much heavy. I know the whole thing is to present the presentations inside the Figma, but of course we will send this to people that is not familiar with the software or just want to keep the presentation in PDF with him. And it’s embarassing to, everytime i want to export some PDF, i have to use a plugin. Even few slides reaches like 30mb. It is in Beta, so i want to bring this problem to the case! I think Flides will be revolutionary.

UI2 has built over time muscle memory, users understand exactly where to go to utilize features and tools. Switching the position, shape or order of tools causes significant churn. I have tried UI3 multiple times in the past few months and see major changes being rolled back to where UI2 was initially. I almost always go back to UI2 as its still more functional personally.

I’m am trying to prototype a price increasing as you add something to your cart. I want the UI to show $0.00 to start, but when I go to make my starting number variable and type in 0.00 and hit enter it automatically changes it to just 0. So how I’m having to use a boolean to show/hide the .00. It would also be great if dollar signs could be included in numeric variables, so I don’t have to make separate text box for them.

It would be nice to have the ability to add animations to the elements on the slide instead of only between slides. Of course you could duplicate slides and remove the parts you want to progressively reveal but that could quickly clutter the grid.

Cuando trabajaba con Sketchapp, dentro de un archivo de librería, se podía marcar un artboard para que funcionara como un témplate, en vez de crearlo como un componente, simplemente se marcaba con checkbox, con hacer esto ya quedaba todo listo para que funcionaran como témplate dentro de otros archivos al ser insertados. Me gustaría poder hacer lo mismo en figma, crear frame que luego puedan ser utilizados como témplate y así cuando otras personas lo usen en sus archivos, estos template no estén vinculados como componentes.Esa funcionalidad existe dentro de figma, la he visto implementada en bibliotecas públicas de empresas como Apple, Material design y la librería propia de figma, en ellas se incluyen estructuras complejas bajo la categoría de Examples, estas librerías están públicas en la comunidad, pero me gustaría poder tener esa funcionalidad en mis propias librerías.

It seems that comments cannot be dragged between pages in Figma. This makes it challenging to move feedback when restructuring files. It would be great to have the ability to relocate comments across pages.

Our engineering team has been adopting FigJam more and more for creating architecture diagrams around or SaaS infrastructure. The new AWS/GCP/K8 icons launched in April 2025 were a great add for exactly this purpose. A few folks have now tried using the Figma Slides option for “Start with an Outline” to convert their FigJam diagrams to an easy slide presentation. This has been a really cool feature, but the one thing that is missing for us is images.Every time we try to convert the FigJam to Slides, the slides have all these empty frames for pictures. It would be so great if the Slides would just be populated with either the elements or screenshot of the FigJam that the slide is talking to. This would save a lot of time developers have to spend taking screenshots and dumping them in the Slides.Going from an engineering diagram to a more palatable and ~beautiful~ presentation to share with managers or the new summer intern would be a game changer.

I am a heavy figma user. I end up having a lot for nested frames. It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to get to nested frames. It would easier on my finger and neck muscles. I wonder what other users think about this. 

make it possible to set a slider for a specific timeframe, just like you did with the scroll option, it's very simple and very useful considering how often people use a hacky way to imitate such a simple thing

Prototype points:I don’t always manage to hook up the prototypes exactly from the right layer. Say there’s a button, if that’s in a parent container and its wrapped around it tightly because maybe it held two buttons and I hide one. When prototyping I might pull from the first node I see that looks like the button, and then it actually comes from the parent container. In dev mode, trying to see where the interaction code is, you’d expect it to be on the button. When it isn’t, its not easy to know how to find it. Especially if they don’t have access to design mode.What i’d ask for, if I could ask, is some way for Dev mode to be able to see the parts of a frame that have prototype elements, where the prototype nodes are. Like an icon on a layers in the layers panel, to show it has prototype connections. More details please:Separate but on the same idea as this, and i know this is complex to figure out. Hello there,I’m loving annotations, however, it would be great if you can set up custom categories that can be applied to every file.It’s not a workflow killer, but would be nice not having to make the same new category on every file.Thanks!

Since a long time ago I have noticed that Figma allows you to search all your published components within the asset window of a file. The thing is that I want to search only within the localized assets of a file and not all. All other libraries are switched off, however, I still search across every file and this is really frustrating. I initially believed that this was a bug that would be fixed, but 1 year later I see that nothing changed. I remember that Figma used to allow its users to search within different published libraries in a file - if they wanted to, not obligingly. Anyone else having the same issue and found any solution?

Hi! The default Instagram post frame in Figma is still a square (1080x1080), but Instagram’s most common post size is now vertical (1080x1350).It would be great to update the preset to reflect the current standard format. Thanks!

It’s frustrating to see annotations and measurements in design mode. Is there a way to hide it for design mode altogether? I know Shift + Y hides it once, but it also hides in dev-mode. Possible solutions to this Hide annotations and measurements only in design mode. Switching to dev-mode shows them Go back to how it was before. Show cues of annotations in design mode, and double clicking would take them to dev-mode. It’s pretty useless to see these when designing. And can get to cluttered and in the way of seeing the design properly. 

I love FigPals. I use Figma 99% and FigJam 1% of the time. I wish to see FigPals come back to Figma.Pleeeeeeease! 

I have a section with a ton of comments on it that i’d like to hide, however when I hide the section, all of the comments are still visible floating in the empty space. I dont want to hide ALL comments, just those attached to the section that I’m hiding. It would be awesome if there was an option where if you hid an object with a comment attached, that it would hide the comment too. Thanks!  

Annotations in Dev Mode has been a game changer for efficient developer handoff. However, because duplicated frames automatically come with duplicated annotations, the annotations have become clogged and difficult to keep on top of. Reviewing all annotations to ensure all are needed in a frame and not just duplicated garbage has become a maintenance task.Please give an option to duplicate frames without their annotations!

I searched the community and didn’t find this listed… I cannot seem to add a library that is styles / color only? to Figma Slides which is how we separate some of our libraries. Leveraging how existing users would expect to accomplish this task … a manage libraries feature… wouldn’t confuse new users as they could still use the new way but help your existing millions of pro Figma designers find their way here. Hep? Pluz?

The new icons look good, except for the “design file”-icon. As you can see at a glance, the design-files don’t look as sharp as they did.The design file icons are1) bigger than the others2) a bit misaligned in contrary to post-it’s and books.3) very anti-aliased (Meaning it looks blurry, or smoothed out)Keep in mind, this is a normal full hd-screenA side note: it is typical of designers in figma to zoom in and not realize that their icons in reality will not render as if zoomed 5x in. I assume about 50% of your users have 1920x1080p screens. My main wish is for you to make the pen more clear roll it back to previous iconography (it worked great - and was clearly a pen) Align things visually (keep in mind, this is different from aligning things technically)Sorry for my bluntness, but it is oftentimes better to be blunt and clear than to be imprecise and kind.

I’m a developer using the Figma desktop app. When I’m working on a specific page and I get a link from a designer to another page in the same file, clicking that link redirects my current tab to that new page.This breaks my flow because I lose my place and there’s no quick way to go back.Suggestion:If I click a link to another page in the same file, please open it in a new tab instead of replacing the current one. That way I can keep my current work visible.Thanks!
