There should be a function to number the slides. Also would help if creating a TOC for longer presentations.

I recently found out that when you have no boolean variables created, right clicking the ‘eye’ icon on the layer panel won’t show anything. The only way the right click works on this is if you already had any boolean variables created in the ‘local variables’ section. Only then, you see the option to create a new variable directly from here. This behavior was pretty confusing to me, and I thought something was broken.

I have a master page with assets and components, then pages with instances and customizations to the instances, let’s say each page has versions of some of the components. I want to export certain objects of each page simultaneously, without having to go back and forth between pages and hit Export again. If nothing is selected, the behaviour I expect is that Ctrl+Shift+E would export all items in the entire document that have export settings, not just the page that is currently open.

Would like to see a fifth option here, that just says “Thumbnail with link to file”. So it just like a card for a link in FigJam, but it saved to the FigJam file instead of being somewhere out there on the internet.

IssueWe want to implement Figma prototypes in a multi-layer application, which can contain all sorts of other files, like Unity, Unreal, Protopie and they can communicate with each other.The Figma prototype would run in an iframe and we need a way to listen to events from the Figma prototype, in order to create interactions between the Figma prototype and other applications. It seems there is currently no way to make Figma work in such an environment.  Feature RequestI imagine there could be an additional option in the interaction window, so that I could add an event to be triggered when a button is clicked. And the iframe which contains the Figma prototype should dispatch this event to out custom JavaScript.

Hi Figma team,I often organize my pages using symbols (like ↳) and emojis (✅, 📝) to simulate hierarchy and visually label sections (screenshot attached). While this workaround works, it’s too manual and inconsistent—especially for large files with multiple collaborators. Two things that would help:1. Page Indentation / Nesting – Native indentation or grouping would make structuring pages much easier and cleaner.2. Default Icon Slot – Instead of using emojis in titles, having a dedicated icon or label slot for pages would keep things tidy and readable. The ability to collapse page groups would save a lot of scrolling back and forth.3. Headline Layer – It would be great to have a non-clickable “headline” or section divider in the Pages panel without having to create a blank page just for labeling. This would really improve project organization and save a lot of manual effort. It would be great to track how much time we spent on each file, it would remove so much manual work to track any freelance project timeThis way we will have the time we spent on designing aside from research and other stuff

💬 4 years ago ​@Wolfgang_H proposed being able to manipulate a locked layer while pressing a hotkey and relock it immediately after release: https://forum.figma.com/topic/show?tid=29231&fid=21I find that idea still pertinent today, as I was working with multiple objects on top of a background. I accidentally select the background too many times, so I had to lock it. But then I want to resize/change the background, so I had to unlock it. Going back and forth with 🔒/🔓 introduces quite a bit of friction.🤔 I do understand though that having too many shortcuts/hotkeys can be annoying as people make mistakes and they can hit the wrong key accidentally. However, I would love to have this feature in the little big updates as I deem it necessary enough. Thank you all for reading!

Hey guys, Let’s be real. The main spectrum of work with UI, whether it’s an app, or a website, is displaying data or content (such as feed, lists, posts, comments, etc). We can do a component of a post card, for example. Then duplicate instances, and wrap that in an auto layout. It would be cool to have a repeater that shows right up after you’ve activated the auto-layout, where you can specify how many times to repeat the instance (component) and bind data to it. At the same time, it would be cool to have a centralized data location somewhere (i.e. when you click on the data, open a shared data set so that the same data can be accessed from different repeaters). (Screenshot is just to deliver the idea, it’s far from the perfect UI, I didn’t spent much time of thinking it through since Figma has a great product team on board to elaborate it and deliver in an amazing simplified way) It feels like it’s a very natural evolution of Auto-Layout feature. This new pricing model for Dev Mode $35/seat/month just to inspect already finished designs is so out of touch with reality, I have no words. We have an enterprise Figma license and we capped Editor seats to a minimum because it’s hard to sell to C-level. This limits UX maturity and spread of Figma usage in product development across the whole org. We have about 4x as much full-stack developers as we have designers, who OCCASIONALLY need to inspect designs. How the bleep are we supposed to sell those seats to C-level executives? This is completely unrealistic and limits not only spread of Figma usage, but design-led product development in our org even more. If we are to keep Figma, all of our designers are left with one option, to extensively micro-document each design for devs to read as a book. Losing huge chunk of our UX time. What a self-destructing pricing strategy from Figma. What do we do now?

A tiny tiny detail that would make life a lot easier would be auto-tabbing the cursor’s focus to the search bar when I switch from “Custom” to “Libraries”. 99% of the time when working in a large design system I need to search for the colour/variable I want, there’s too many to scroll through. But I always have to make that extra click into the search bar and I often naturally start typing only to realise it isn’t tabbed (accidentally pressing shortcut/hotkeys along the way).Whereas you compare to the File/Asset content switcher it DOES auto-tab once you switch into Assets so its not consistent.Small interaction would save a lot of time! 🙏

We used to have annual seats for our own staff, and use monthly seats for adhoc collaborators - but with the new billing system Figma has changed everything to annual seats, making our total expense explode! It seems there is no way to degrade an annual plan. Only a way to grow, and feed Figma’s greedy pocket!

The new UI3 preview introduced a new title at the top of the sidebar. I’d like an option to collapse or hide that title, as it uses too much screen real estate.

The cursor is entirely too small now and feels extremely latent at the new angle. Please, Figma, don’t fix something that’s not broken! The cursor is a tool, not a pointer.Also the addition of light fields on a dark background is fairly disorienting and clutters the surroundings of all info inside the fields. Slows down workflow and makes info less “glance-able”.

Bilingual designer here... I am using Chinese and English to do design, but, a LOT of fonts show the default Chinese in Figma, cannot be switched to desired Chinese fonts😵.I love Figma!! I hope the fonts switch problem could be solved asap😳...Thank you Figma team!

it’s really really not convenient for me 

The status on sections for ‘Ready for dev’ are great but it would be really useful if we can have more or the ability to create custom ones for the design phase. Working in a client environment it would be hand to have the ability to mark a section as the ‘Approved designs’ with a date stamp. other useful ones would be ‘On hold’, ‘Shortlisted’ and ‘Archive’ but the ability to make our own would be brilliant. Cheers. 

I want to designate a frame as an overlay so that when I create an interaction pointing to it,  the default action is “Open overlay”.  If I create an interaction from an overlay type frame, the action should default to “Swap overlay”.For example.I create a frame called “button” I create a frame called “pop-up” I set “pop-up” as an overlay type I create a prototype connection from “button” to “pop-up” the iteraction defaults to “Open overlay”.Figma’s UI already identifies overlays with an icon but this doesn’t happen until a connection is made to a frame and then the action must be manually set to “Open overlay”. Enven so, if a connection is made to a known overlay, the default action remains as “Navigate to”, which is not the desired behavior.

Please please please for my ADHD brain can Figma enable horizontal scrolling of all the file tabs I have open 😭 I know I should just be better at organizing but it is painful when I’m near or at the limit of visible file tabs open, open a new one, and I can’t even see where I’m at in that navigation.File tab groups would be another amazing improvement (like in chrome!) as you may have multiple files going for the same project subject matter.

A video is added in a design, but there is no option to export it as .mov or .mp4 when my colleagues need the original file for develop

I would like to have an option to move layers back and front manually without changing their order even if they are in auto layout

Oh my godness.I’ve tried a new version of figma slides and loved it so much! The possibility to download presentation both in PDF and PPTX is the state-of-art feature actually. Collaborating killed me because it’s basically stunning. Templates are fire too!!!I’ll never use anything but Figma slides.Thank you Figma Team for creating this! Have a nice day!
