Hey guys, I was playing with Buzz and after pasting one of my assets, the auto-layout property is gone! It seems auto-layout is not supported on the parent frame, or is this a bug? If it’s not a bug, there’s no use for us. We create hundreds of Newsletters and ads with auto layouts which flow automatically depending on the content.

Also will the collaborators be able to swap instances of a symbol on a design and hide items?

Thanks!

  • Buzz does not currently support auto-layout on parent frames reliably. Not a bug, but a limitation.

  • Component instance swapping and visibility toggling are limited or inconsistent.

  • For teams doing high-volume, layout-driven design, Buzz is not yet ready to replace Figma’s traditional editor.

If precise component swapping and visibility control are part of your workflow (which they likely are for newsletter/ads work), Buzz is currently not a full replacement for standard Figma editing.

Thank you for the info! I was very excited about Buzz’s edit fields, we have to copy/paste all the info the team give us, which is so 1990 🙂.

It’s a shame it’s not supported!

The bulk edit is super helfpul for a set of cards I need to design, but I was relying on autolayout for the description field as I can’t control the length of that text.
