Right now, in order to link out of a file, the link has to be attached to a Text layer. It would be great if I could add a link out to any layer, like a button or a Card.
Can there be a way so that we can copy / view the text and color values without unlinking the style definition? See the attachment, it would be very helpful if I could see the properties of this selected text , instead of only the style name ( Same for colors )
I use ‘N’ as my push to talk key on Discord which in Figma goes to the next frame.I just want to be able to unbind/remap the key in the figma app so this doesn’t happen.
When using Figma’s comment feature, we often input text using an input method editor (IME), which includes a composition process for converting characters (such as from Japanese kana to kanji). In most IME environments, pressing the ESC key once during composition cancels the ongoing conversion and returns to the pre-converted state. Pressing ESC again cancels the entire text input. However, in Figma’s comment input field, pressing ESC even once during the composition phase closes the entire comment box. This results in losing all the text being typed, even if it hasn’t been confirmed yet. This behavior is very disruptive for users who rely on IMEs.Could you please prevent the comment box from closing when ESC is pressed during text composition? The first screenshot shows the behavior in VSCode when pressing the ESC key during text composition. The second screenshot shows how pressing ESC in Figma’s comment field behaves in contrast.
EU is moving to Peppol, which means all entrepreneurs will send and receive invoices via the secure Peppol network. When will Figma invoice via Peppol?
Genspark.Ai is the new workspace for the new gen operations.Figma Docs, Sheets, should compete Notion, Canva, editorjs docs etcFigma Drive with online offline sync should be an added advantageFigma Coding is not something worth for a design workspace, there are tons of better AI Coders like replit.A Canva/Lidojs like platform by Figma will be very productive. A whitelabel version will be more attractive for enterprises, resellers etcIm currently using figma for managing my docs. but its very difficult and i dont want to use canva docs. Hope there will be more productive improvements in documents management, file, folder management etcsomething like this
In Figma Make, it is possible to create code, but it seems that .fig design files cannot be generated. ref.How do I save/export a .fig file from Figma Make? | Figma ForumAdditionally, it appears that team members cannot comment on the preview in Figma Make. Therefore, the collaboration feature, which is a key characteristic of Figma, is not available. Are there any plans to release the ability to generate .fig files or a commenting feature?Alternatively, are there any existing workarounds?Thank you very much for your attention and assistance.
As a user, when I’m updating instances from a library when in dark mode, icons can be hard to see on the dark background, I would like to be able to see what the dark icons look like. Suggestion to add a toggle for the background of the instance so that a dark icon on the dark mode background can be changed to light mode.
Hey Figfam I know this might not be a top ask, or even on the top of your priorities, but any chance an update can be made so we can use local fonts on iPad? Is one of the few features that keeps me from being able to fully use Figma on iPad through the browser. Maybe some specific font helper app? Just my 2 cents.
Summary:Please expand Figma’s background blur support beyond frames and components to include vector shapes and boolean objects. This enhancement would significantly improve design flexibility and enable more advanced UI effects.Details:Currently, Figma restricts the use of background blur (glassmorphism) to frames and components. While effective in many workflows, this limitation creates unnecessary friction when attempting to apply blur to non-rectangular or custom shapes—such as triangles, circles, icons, or complex boolean forms.Designers seeking to replicate stylized interfaces (e.g., macOS Aqua or Tahoe icons) or craft more expressive UI elements are forced to use masking techniques with frames. These workarounds can lead to fragile layering, reduced editability, and increased file complexity.Proposed Solution: Extend background blur support to vector shapes (e.g., polygons, ellipses, stars). Enable blur rendering for boolean groups (union, subtract, intersect, exclude). Ensu
Am I missing something or is the old Community home completely gone?It used to feel like its own place, with clear navigation, and a nice way to filter and discover new plugins. The new “Tools & Templates” tab just feels so…. clinical, sterile, barebones. It feels like a downgrade.
Introduce a new Figma AI capability that allows users to generate complete design libraries—such as Design Systems—using natural language prompts. Once created, these libraries can be automatically referenced across other Figma files, enabling seamless reuse and consistency. For example, a user could prompt Figma AI to “Create a modern Design System with components for web and mobile”, and then in a separate file, ask “Generate a SaaS dashboard UI using the previously created Design System”. Figma AI would intelligently reference the original library, ensuring design consistency and reducing manual linking. This feature would streamline workflows, promote scalable design practices, and empower teams to build faster with AI-assisted modularity. Concept(A Figma UI mockup showcasing a new AI-powered feature. The screen is split into two panels. On the left, a user types a prompt into a Figma AI assistant: 'Create a modern Design System for web and mobile.' The AI responds with a generated l
When flicking through slides in Slide View (Figma Slides) setting the view % on a page, will just reset and fit to screen if you move to another slide. Is there a way to lock the view % so that we can control the review / design process as we can in other programs?
make it possible to create an expression in variables in which it would be possible to perform operations on variables of the same data type as the variable that contains the equation
When you have alot of variables it would be nice to be able to search for specific things
Hi FigJam team, We absolutely love using FigJam for creating flows and diagrams, but we've hit a snag with the line connection functionality, especially when lines need to cross. It would be a big help if FigJam could add a feature where one line arcs or "jumps" over another when they intersect. This would make our diagrams much clearer and easier to understand. Thanks for looking into this!
It would be amazing to have adjustable view and edit permissions for pages within a Figma File. The file owner could grant general View or Edit permissions to whoever they share the file with like they can now.Within pages, the file owner could override someone’s View permission to give them Edit access for the one specific page. This would be great in making sure changes are only being made to dedicated pages.
When you use the pen tool to draw a vector image, normally when you use the bend option, it's automatically set to ‘Mirror Angle.’ But then I mostly have to manually change it to ‘No Mirroring’ since that helps more with the accuracy of the edges of the images I want to create. But when I have really big images, it gets tiring having to always change the settings to ‘No Mirroring’ for every single point. Isn’t there a way to automatically leave the settings on the last option selected instead of it always being set to ‘Mirror Angle’? Or is there a keyboard shortcut for that?
I really liked the Glass effect. But it cannot be exported to SVG or via the "Figma to HTML" plugin. Can you fix it?Sincerely, Vidasik.
I’ve spent hours manually removing unused variants, removing ghost fills and aligning thousands of icons in a very specific way. We all have these days of just rote boring execution work and I think there’s a great surface area there to explore with AI, beyond the few AI-commands already provided (E.g. rename layers)
I want to do copy QA in Figjam by using the table component and pasting images into it, underlining certain sections and in the column next to the column with the image indicating the new copy
Hello, I found out that if i create an interactive component (ex: Button), and place it inside a a main component (obsiously as an instance), the interactions are no longer working. But if you create an instance of the parent component, then it all works as expected.
I spend a lot of time undoing the automatic auto layout adjustments that Figma applies in order to maintain the existing layout structure. This is frustrating because I understand how all the resizing parameters work, and I only change the ones I want to change. But in an attempt to help me and retain the current layout, the UI changes parameters that were previously the way I wanted them. So while auto layout still saves me time, it also wastes my time by putting me in a position where I have to go through, layer by layer, undoing the auto-adjustments. (Usually changing a layer’s width or height from “fixed” back to “fill” or “hug”.) I understand some users may actually like this, and it’s hard to please everyone. I would be more than grateful for an option that allows me to disable this automatic behavior.
To enhance flexibility and optimize workspace organization, it would be beneficial to allow users to move the windows for variables, prototypes, and plugins outside Figma’s main interface, positioning them freely on the desktop. This feature would help users better arrange their workflow, especially for those using multi-monitor setups or needing a cleaner and more focused workspace. Imagine being able to place the prototype window on a secondary monitor while working on the main canvas, or keeping a plugin window open without it interfering with your design. Additionally, these windows could remember their position, reopening in the same spot during the next session to ensure a seamless user experience.
