For the love for all of the Gods, just put some safeguard to this functionality.I’m using it often to generate a versioned links to give a context to a client what was the current stage of the project.Problem:Delete is near the copy link and countless of times, when in the rush, I’ve just clicked Delete instead of the copy. Which is resulting in all links to generated so far are just became invalid…New created version, even with exact same title and description just have a different ID so i need to generate all the links again and it’s just outrageous…Solution:Just put a pop-up to confirm deleting the info and it will be all fine or a possibility to undo the action or an option to restore the deleted one please, anything, please.

It would be helpful if Admins could purchase plugin licenses and assign them to users as needed.WhyAdmin would not have to chase expense reports for every users each month nor have to share credit cards and expend hawk like vigilance on the monthly credit card receipts in case a plugin kept being payed for while nobody used it.Howthe same way you currently allow plugins and we could have a check box to add payment of the plugin to the main Figma billing. The payment API could also have an opt-in to allow creators to give a batch discount on multiple licenses.

I use slots a lot, and I also keep component names short and generic, and rely on section names as unique identifiers. One downside is that sometimes I’m searching for “slot” to replace “slot” and it’s a bit of a nightmare. It would be nice to add “In this section” or something like that. 

I love using Figma for my slide decks but I miss having my notes while in presentation mode. If I could have similar functionality I would adopt Figma as my slide deck tool 100%!

We want to use string variables for translation handoffs. It is common in our projects that we use long text elements, that have mixed styles (adding links, adding bold to key phrases). When we add variables to text, the font style is “flattened” when switching modes. We can create text with HTML tags like “Hello <‘b1’>World<‘/b1’>” (b1=semibold equivalent of the font style used) so our devs know where to style the text, but it makes it difficult for us to evaluate visual aspects of our texts (like “Is the text not too busy? there’s to many bolded words”). It would be great to have a tool that can do both: add font styles to strings, and render them at the same time.

I have a deck slide longer than the slide therefore I want to scroll to see the rest of the slide. I thought I could do this with a prototype as a workaround but you have to click the prototype to view it so therefore it won’t work. Is there any plan to release this feature after beta, as this is a big blocker for me and my team at present when we have longer pages in our slide decks. Thanks guys.

  Why is this dropdown so narrow?? I’m given 10 letters to distinguish my component variant names from each other?? And then it’s truncated? Get it together!

I wanted to highlight a crucial feature missing in Figma that would greatly enhance our design workflow. Unlike Adobe XD, Figma currently lacks support for DotLottie and JSON animation files. Given Figma’s web-based focus, integrating these formats would significantly improve our ability to create dynamic and interactive web content directly within Figma. This feature is not just a convenience but a necessity for staying competitive and meeting the evolving demands of modern web design. I kindly request your team to consider implementing support for DotLottie and JSON animations in future updates.

The Problem In figma, it is currently not possible to persist certain compository styles without having to think of all the possible use cases before and putting them in there, or to provide a component just so that it can be used as a reference, a starting point. The reason for this is that once a layer is in a component, it cannot be replaced, removed, multiplied or reordered. This makes sense, but limits what a component can do. Examples Buttons that are capable of showing any icon. The Icon can only be replaced by a different icon of the same size or the same parent component (icon/*). Meaning, that all icons that are available need to be thought of before. This breaks the components capabilities, because it all of a sudden needs to be aware of the icons it can display. It used to be that when you were pulling noodles to create interactions, you’d see the choices for states in the interaction panel. Since the last big update several months ago, those controls have been hidden under a toggle/accordion in the panel. I find this to be a huge productivity annoyance that I have to do an extra click to select “reset scroll” or “reset component state,” or to check at a later time, if that particular noodle has those options selected.  Please, please, please change it back to being visible by default or put an option in Preferences, so Figma users can set the view to their preference.  Does anyone else feel the same way?   

Hello, I couldn’t find a feature in Figma where we can constrain trigger or hotspot bounds to a vector shape instead of a rectangular bounding box. The current version doesn’t support the design use cases similar to those below (eg: interactive pie charts) where transparent pixels are ignored in a non-rectangular shape because the hotspot bounding box is always rectangular. It would be nice to constrain the hotspot area to the desired shape instead of a rectangle. Please check the attached Figma file. Elements currently don’t stick to bottom in overlays. Cannot see the sticky bottom element unless it is placed in view port, creates confusion within clients or for those who plays prototype in different resolutions.

Hello Comunity ✋i think we need a feature to insert component inside a text or paragtaph. it’s because i was designing a banner and face issue to make it responsive. image of two artboard with different banner layout. as you can see i want to have left artboartd but i can’t do it.i checked all possible ways, but we need a feature too allow us to add a component inside paragraph.

it will work nice to icons without need to outline strokes and keep original icons editable.

Can Figma come up with a way to re-Parent Components moved to Design File so that all the components in the said file can be pointed to the Design File?

There is possibility to do only URL links to selected text. Could be useful create interactions also into selected text only Instead whole text frame. Do you know any way to do this?

Use Case: I have color primitives and semantics in one collection called colors. Id like to move semantics out of that collection and into a new collection called color semantics. BUT what happens currently is you can copy and paste it, but it breaks the link with the (?) for every variable that was previously connected… So copying and pasting does not work. Id like the option to move or rearrange variables in and out of collections with keeping that same variable linked in my other variables downstream.

Hi,I'm currently very actively trying to incorporate variables and conditions into our project and doing a lot of cool stuff (I'm sure some of it is truly unique). However, all my ideas hit a wall because it's impossible to bind variables to specific objects only. Since the variables are global, I can't use my unique dropdowns or inputs because I can't make them as flexible and manageable as components with variants.If you could make it possible to manage variables more flexibly, it would significantly help in prototyping unconventional things. As an example of what I mean, I'd suggest taking a look at my currency dropdown and inputs fields.  

As far as I can tell everyone loves and hates autolayout. When it works, it’s magic. But it’s almost always glitchy in the wild. I think the biggest breakthrough would be to just be able to declare an “em” or percentage for the size of everything in the layout.
