The fonts in my figma file have changed automatically to a random font, when I tap on them they change back to the correct fonts but I need to manually click on each text field.

It seem that the variable browser inside Figma is getting the wrong value when you hover over an alias. It then gets the value from the first mode, instead of the value for the mode it is referenced in. This error seem to also propagate to the Plugin API for reading the variable values. This file demostrates the issue explained below. “Header padding” in the Medium mode seem to have the value 48 when you hover over it. Which is the value from the Large mode, not the 24 from the Medium mode. However when you apply the value in the design it works as expected and the value is actually 24, when the mode is set to Medium. Even more, if you go to the variable browser and unlink the value if also gets the value 24. My main issue is not the hover in the variable browser, but the fact that also the Plugin API is getting the wrong values.

Hello, I have noticed:when switching component variants inside grid cell - something begin to break inside properties panel (there were cleaned properties before for sure I cleaned them perfectly! - and some Property5 & 6 appeared after dragging cell variants). I think this is a bug. PS I can’t upload bug video here to show you (I don’t have google drive / loom / dropbox - btw why so uncomfy to add a video?)

I recently cancelled the Professional plan, as we currently no longer require its services. We need to download the latest invoice, but it appears that the billing section is no longer accessible from the free plan. Could you please advise on how we can retrieve it? Hi, I’m having an issue with the variables. I created a design system with all the relevant variables and then published. I made sure all variables are with the correct scope details and all are NOT hidden from publishing. After enabling that library in a new design file, i tried to use a color variable on a new shape and it simply doesn’t load the colors in the small thumbnail squares. They just stay forever with the default color variable icon. I tested this with new files and new libraries and variables but the issue keeps happening. It seems like it is stuck in a forever loading stage. Other colleagues of mine can use the library and see the variables in their square thumbnails, so im guessing its my issue. After this i made sure my figma was updated and even uninstalled it and installed again. I’ve also tested this with both app and web browser. We’re currently making our components responsive using variables. We’ve setup custom values for components, in this case our Checkbox. It should increase in size on smaller viewports. We’ve inserted icons inside the checkboxes which contains sizing variants which are connected to the variables string to achieve the resizing. The resizing is working correctly, however the color breaks. I have checked all the layer nesting, naming, etc. Also re-factored the Icon naming and layering, but it still breaks. Hi Figma team, I'm building a website using Figma Sites (https://www.marilialeal.com.br/), and I've encountered a major issue regarding SEO and search engine indexing. The site is automatically generating the following tag in the <head>: <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> This prevents Google Search Console from indexing the site, and there's currently no way to remove or override this tag through the Figma Sites settings. I’ve tried adding a new <meta name="robots" content="index, follow"> tag as high as possible in the Custom Code section, but it’s still ignored by search engines because the noindex tag appears first. This makes Figma Sites unsuitable for any project that requires SEO or public visibility on search engines. Hej Figma Team, we'd like to report what we consider to be a critical bug related to swapping component libraries, which severely affects our workflow in Figma. Issues when swapping libraries: Design variables are not correctly transferred, even if they exist in both libraries and are named identically. Modes defined in variables are ignored during the swap. Styles that reference variables retain their link to the original library, but do not switch to the equivalent variable in the new library, even if an identical one exists there. Why this is a bug: This behavior makes variable-based library swapping essentially unusable. The idea of evolving and maintaining design systems through versioned libraries becomes impractical – at least when variables are involved. For teams working with structured design systems and variables, this is a disaster. It causes significant manual effort, breaks system logic, and undermines component reliability. When I create an XLSX in excel with all of my images, when I go to upload them in the bulk uploader it completely reorders them when I have more than roughly 11-12 rows. See screenshot. It works fine for smaller runs of ~5-10 but when I create more the order changes when I upload it. In screenshot the front column appears with the back images and vice versa after uploading.

Hello everyone, I’ve run into an issue in Figma prototypes: whenever a component has a Background Blur effect, Smart Animate stops working correctly. I’m looking for any known workarounds or explanations. Scenario A Frame/Component includes: A semi-transparent fill (e.g. white at 20% opacity) Background Blur effect (Radius: 20px) I use Smart Animate to transition this component between different states (variants, interactive component states, or separate frames). Observed Behavior Without blur (same component with only an opaque fill and no blur), all Smart Animate transitions run smoothly. With blur applied, Smart Animate transitions: Jump instantly without interpolation, Or fail to animate entirely. Questions Are there any known Figma limitations or bugs when using Smart Animate on layers with Background Blur? Just playing around with Figma sites on my mac and I noticed the the preview functionality tends to hang while it’s loading or it just loads a white screen. It’s pretty common occurance and reloading the project and restarting Figma doesn’t seem to fix the problem. My work around is that I found the Figma Site web app in the browser doesn’t seem to have this same caching issue. So at the moment I run Figma sites on the mac app to do all the design work but run the preview in the the browser app as it has no issues reloading the Site preview. Anyone else having similar issues running Figma Sites on the mac?

Hello there, please kindly support the broswer experience on ipad pro. currently most features work but only the zoom in and zoom out through the track pad is broken when trying to edit figma design on ipad browser (safari or chrome). Please please please kindly fix it. it means that we can learn figma and use it on the go and also most of students are using ipad as a on-the-go device in campus. at home, we also plug in ipad pro m4 into large monitor given the ipadOS26 supports multi-tasking really well! thank you!

Simple Design System from Figma gives errors when attached as a component library to Figma Make Files. How cat this be fixed, been using “Fix these errors” button with no result. Issue Description Exported files are having their vertical text alignments changed to Middle. How to recreate Create a Figma Slide Create Text box 1. Set Text Alignment to Bottom. Create Text box 2. Set Text Alignment to Top. Export the slide. Both text fields in the resulting PPTX are now set to Text Align: Middle. Impact While you might not expect a pixel-perfect copy when you export from Figma Slides to PPTX, this issue will in many cases cause text boxes to overlap with each other. Hello! I’m currently at the Free plan, previously was subscribed to Professional. After giving edit access to people in Free project i was charged for full seats. This is violates my customer rights, because your software is literally says “Free”, then charging without asking my consent for this payment - by any law definition it is a fraud. Furthermore, i want my payment information (e.g card token) to be removed.

I’m encountering some issues with Figma; regardless of whether the file has many pages or few, the operations are very laggy. I’ve tried changing my network and using a VPN, but neither has made a significant difference. What should I try now?

My original post Some of my icons are displaying unexpected holes in circular areas where there shouldn't be any (see attached images). The issue seems to occur when strokes overlap and create negative space, possibly due to how the stroke is being rendered or interpreted. I'm aiming to keep everything within a single vector and maintain consistent stroke width throughout. Expected Behavior: Icons should render as solid shapes with no gaps or holes, as shown in the final image. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I had an account that used an old email address and I worked on a number of really important projects in it. That email no longer exists and I cannot set up email forwarding for it, so I can’t reset my password or get access to those projects. I really need access to those projects for portfolio work, and am not sure how to recover the account. Is it possible to change the email associated with that account or somehow change the password? I am not sure how to proceed.

When pasting multiple images into FigJam, when the last file is selected before pasting the other files, the filename with the last alphabetical filename unexpectedly displays in the 1st position in FigJam. (See attached screenshots of the behavior.)

I don’t know if I used some keyboard shortcut, but now all my files doesn’t show fills or strokes. When I try to create a new form it just creates a blank form, but the fill and the stroke appears at the right menu.

Hello everyone, since yesterday, weird library updates have been showing up in almost all of my files. They show updates that supposedly have been published months ago (some up to 4 months). Those are libraries I use and update almost daily, so I’m confused that they offer updates from months ago now. When I click on “Update”, Figma quickly says “Successfully updated assets”, but nothing changes. When I click on an icon to see the side by side comparison, it loads forever. I tried to force another update from those libraries to see what happens. Now the Base Colors library says “Published 1 day ago”, but the problem remains. It won’t go away. I also tried doing the “Reset Figma and restart”, which I think formerly used to be “Clear cache”. And I obviously restarted the computer, but nothing helps. Anybody have any idea what else I could try?

I have prototypes with pop out modals, when I present these appear fine unless I go into “Full Screen Mode”. In which case the pop out modals disappear and the prototype skips any pop out modals when clicking through.

Hi Figma team, I’ve encountered an unexpected behavior when using Auto Layout with negative gaps. When a zero-width or height element is included in the frame, the negative gap is ignored, and spacing defaults to 0. Steps to Reproduce: Create an Auto Layout frame with a horizontal or vertical direction. Add multiple regular elements (e.g., rectangles) — negative gaps work as expected. Add a zero-width or zero height element into the same Auto Layout group. Suddenly, the negative gap no longer works — the spacing defaults to 0, breaking the layout. Would appreciate if this could be looked into. Thanks! Changing the gap reveals that only the Auto layout frames without the zero size element are able to have a negative gap value
