Hey Gregory welcome! If you have a specific question related to the figma file you posted I would recommend creating a new topic under the product questions category. Thanks. πŸ™‚

Hi everyone!

I’m a product designer living out of a home office in south bay, California. πŸ™‚ Background is in visual design, and I also dabble in 3D & motion design too.

My favorite things about Figma are variants and smart animate for prototyping!! One wishlist item I have for Figma is the ability to directly communicate with After Effects without having to export and import. It’s a pain right now and I haven’t really found a nice plug-in for it. Or just have a simple animate system inside of Figma, that’d be nice too!

When I’m not designing I like playing computer games and reading books. Currently reading a book about a Palestinian-American family and the role of women in the Arab world after moving to the U.S.

Hi Everyone

I’m just starting out as freelance designer after working in print, digital content & digital trading for a loooong time.

It’s been a steep learning curve but have just started using Figma after switching from Sketch. Got to say it’s really impressed me & I’m looking forward to learning new skills with it, I’ve already started prototyping and love how intuitive it is to use.

Take care everyone and keep safe πŸ™‚

Hey everyone! I’m Jan Six or @six7 on Twitter. I’m a product designer / developer currently leading product design at atalanda, an e-commerce startup building Marketplace as a Service.

I live in snowy Salzburg, Austria β€” when I’m not working as a product designer I enjoy developing Figma plugins or sideprojects that enable designers / creatives / makers. Also, I am teaching local design students the basics of UI/UX + Figma (and some Adobe Xd) on the side.

You can find my plugins such as Batch Styler, Figma Tokens, AutoGrid, Skale or the node module Figma Assets Generator on my personal website

Hi, I’m Peter.
Greetings from Poland.

I’m UI & UX designer at mobile game company.
Using Figma as tool for animated prototypes, fast prototyping, wireframing, flows, marketing, etc

I’m currently thinking to go full FIGMA with UI, but there are still some problems that hold me back.
update: Just transfered whole UI Design to Figma with Design System, with help of few plugins it was awesome experience. Thanks @figma

Stay healthy!

Hi everyone, My name is Bilal & I am from Pakistan. I am the CEO of AbmaSoft.com. We are designing web apps with Adobe XD and recently have started using Figma. We learned a lot just in a matter of a couple of days we are working fast on Figma. The software is simply amazing and we are just loving it. A lot of help is also available to learn and I understand why as people love it.

So count me in as well in the Figma family.

TLDR; Jac is a designer testing out Figma for its speed and really really likes web/UI Design. To those who are looking for a web designer, you can find her portfolio here: https://www.behance.net/jacnotjac

Not TLDR;
Hi there. I’m Jac and have been learning design for 6 months. I was a Japanese to English translator before but found myself wanting to shift careers. I started with Photoshop to add something to my skillset. I found a very practical course that helped me make sense on how to those Photoshop skills via graphic design and web/UI design. Unlike programming (I really really tried πŸ™ ), I got sucked into design and probably have been eating and breathing design everyday. πŸ˜†

I really really like web/UI design the most and transitioned to Adobe XD for speed. Then I find myself wanting to test out Figma as it was recommended to me by other web designers.

You can find my portfolio here: https://www.behance.net/jacnotjac

Looking forward to learning! πŸ‘‹

Jeffrey_Olson

Greetings everyone! I’m Jeff! Im an 8-year user of Sketch and 20+ years as a Graphic and Product Designer, and I want to give FIgma a shot.

If it’s anything like Sketch I am more than familiar with what it’s capabilities are, but what I lack is a resource for some training/tutorials to really get used to the differences from Sketch.

Is there anywhere I can get comprehensive training courses that breeze over or completely skip the fundamentals (for instance, I don’t need to spend an hour on the drawing tools, or how to create an artboard for mobile web, or any of the β€œHow to Create an Engaging Landing Page” etc…) and get into the more intermediate or advance usage of Figma’s capability matrix? Like a really good Udemy or Coursera course?

Check out this article from Figma itself: What to expect when moving from Sketch to Figma It seems to be covering the biggest of differences quite well.

Mads_Hensel

Hi, I’m Mads. I’m heading up our small design team at Airtame based in Copenhagen Denmark. After I as was introduced to Figma there was no looking back. Even though Illustrator and InDesign are like second nature I still prefer Figma for almost all design tasks. And if Figma doesn’t quite cut it it’s usually code that is the next option.
As a parent of two, I don’t have much time to spare so besides work I only get to do a bit of photography.

Currently I have not made any Figma plugins but maybe someday I get around to that πŸ™‚
