Hi There,It seems images are embedded - is that right?So each time they’re updated externally, they have to be manually re-placed one at a time anywhere they’re used - is that right?Also, does this mean you can’t easily find an image with a Figma design file, and reveal its file location for round-trip editing?Sorry if this is easy, I’ve found lots of confusing threads (some are old though) but the answers seem complex for something as basic as image updating.Any pointers in the right direction much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

How can I find or where can I see the name of the course/bootcamp linked to my Figma student plan?

I want to export or copy the names of the layers to compare them with the desktop and mobile versions, but I couldn't figure out how. The layers resemble an HTML tree, which would be useful for creating the HTML structure. I tried some plugins, but they didn't work. It would be helpful if I could copy the layer names.

I’m noticing that some but not all videos in one of my prototypes flash black before playing, but only in Figma iOS app, not Figma desktop or web. Is this a known issue and any recommendations on how to fix it?

I have a design library with multiple color variable. I’ve published all colors for our local team to use in their design files and for the longest time, all color variables were available for use inside these design files. But recently (past month or so) some colors are not appearing inside the design files. As in, they do not make themselves present during a Fill, Stroke, nor Text color selection effort. I also noticed I’m unable to nudge these variable (change color, name, etc) in order to trip the library into including them for publishing. It’s as if they don’t exist—even though they do in the library. Hi,I was trying to use variables to change the hover color of a button, but the problem is I can select the color of the base button using the tokens, the change to field only allows for hex colors; I can’t point to the hover token.It works for a single mode, light or dark, because I can just put the hover hex color, but that’s not great when using light and dark.

So I just updated my Figma recently. Now I can’t seem to find the auto align feature of an auto aligned element, for example, this text has auto-layout enabled but I need to manually tweak the padding of the frame in order for the text to be aligned fix to the left. Does anybody here encountered the same situation? I appreciate your feedback. Thanks

Since Figma Make became publicly available, I’ve noticed a significant drop in performance and overall intelligence. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence, but I no longer see the “Claude Sonnet 4” label next to the prompt area. Everything I try now leads to poor results. Just yesterday, during the beta phase, the AI was much more capable and consistently delivered great outcomes. Today, I’m stuck for hours on simple tasks that were handled effortlessly before.Anyone noticing the same?

Hello dear Community, As we’re continuously working with clients, our team was really fond of the setting “can view prototypes only”: sometimes we would invite specific people to view a prototype, other times we would allow anyone with the link and password to view the prototypes. This allowed us to be sure not to share the actual design file with the client (sometimes because they wouldn’t need it, or because we would prepare a specific file for the client). Hello allI could do with some help on a fixed scroll animation.I have a small graphic with a round, yellow circle that simply pulses every 5-10 seconds. It’s made with 6 small frames, and converted to a component set. I’ve added it to my prototype, and have set the scroll behaviour to Fixed (Stay in place). But when I scroll, the graphic flickers. Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening? Is there a way I can convert my Figma Make design to Figma design?  

Hello, I have built a Figma Make Project which is working beautifully. I have following questions about the same: How can I duplicate the project? I can see the option to download the Figma Make file but how can I use it to duplicate the project? Even the code can be downloaded but how to use the downloaded zip file again to create another similar project? Will the code be stable and scalable? Should I just treat it as MVP or I can rely on it to build a scalable business. I am not a coder, therefore, I want to know how much I can rely on Figma Make only.  Can you provide a feature to directly create Github repo from Figma Make project. Many other platforms like Replit provide it.  

Hello Community,I need advice on how to manage time handling with variables currently attached to text styles.In my design process, I created a single variable for letter spacing and applied it across both header and text styles. However, for another project, I need to treat them separately. The challenge is quickly assigning a new variable to the default text styles (especially for bulk edits) without having to click through each text style one by one.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Many thanks in advance. 

Hi. I’m having some issues with auto layout and map scrolling.I’ve created a map and a bottom nav bar, got it to scroll correctly, and using auto layout to make it responsive (the map and nav bar resizes and displays correctly).The problem is that the HUD (map zoom etc.) layer wont resize with the the screen.To make it stay on top of the map, I’ve set it to fixed position, and therefore the auto layout don’t work. I’m a complete newbie with Figma, but i know this is possible to achieve, I just don’t know how.Attached a screenshot of the Layer view, and two screens showing the issue.Appreciate any help.

I’m trying to set up an alert that shows up like an overlay, kind of how it would in a regular Figma prototype, but in Figma Sites. Since Sites doesn’t support overlays, I can get something similar working using a reveal interaction.The tricky part is that I only want the alert to appear when someone gets to this page from a specific button or page, not when they land here directly or from somewhere else. In Figma Design, I could do this by giving the button two interactions (navigate → then open overlay).I can get it to work by creating two versions of the same page, one with the alert and one without, but that’s not ideal because I’d have to keep both versions updated every time I make changes.I also tried to get this working through a code layer, but no matter what I do, it doesn’t seem to work. I don’t think the code layer has a way of knowing where the user came from.Any better way to handle this? 

Whenever I set a frame either min or max width, ‘left and right’ constraint is disabled. Is this a bug? Or is there’s any reason?

Why after delay animations like, slide in, slide out, move in, move out & push are not working inside the components?? 

Hey, I’ve ran into a weird problem and want to see if anyone else has this problem or a solution.Right now my team is working on updating our UI library and organizing our main components into frames to display them clearly (similar to how Material Design type kits lay them out). The way we have our components set up is we apply an auto layout to the frame that’s created once you add a variant to a component.Since we’re wanting to clean up the display of the components, we’re trying to get the variables a neater layout and have tried using the grid layout as they allow you to place the variables next to one another & give you blank spaces that you cant get with an auto layout that just has a wrap.As I’ve been moving things into grids, I noticed that all of the interactions applied to the variants have been completely deleted and I’m not sure why. I know grids are still in beta so it could be a bug, but I want to double check just to make sure it’s not me doing something wrong so I

 I’m trying to create an absolutely placed footer that contains a form.  It can expand to 1000 and then should be centered if the screen size is greater than that.  If the screen is less than 1000 then it should shrink to a minimum of 300.  The container seen in white has auto layout applied.How do I prevent the blue box from breaking out of the layout?  

I have a product with core components that are used across multiple clients. In each client, the component is "dressed" with the client's colors and fonts. I'd like to keep the core component connected to the library, but when used in the client file, the client's colors and fonts are applied.I tried to do this using variable modes. I created a library for the client with the color and font variables, but I can't get it to work in the client's Figma component.Is there a way to make this work? Or another way to apply the client's colors and fonts to the component?
