Help! this is happening to me now. All the images in my file disappeared, both web and desktop, and in FigJam. baffled!
Oh god! this just happened to me! Is there a fix??? Even if i go back in time the images aren’t there. I was Literally 30 minutes away from delivering the project!
Hey Marc, the weirdest thing, right? I tried everything, I even had local copies I re-imported. Restarted my laptop and everything. Nothing seemed to work. Then, I randomly tried disconnecting my external monitor from my MBP16 and, just like that, the images re-appeared in my Figma files. It was one of those “oh sh*t” moments, for sure.
Figma status page says this is resolved, but I am still seeing missing images in play mode. They exist on the edit board. Can you advise when this will be fully corrected?
This JUST happened to me too. I was typing up the email to send our client the prototype and all the images are gone now. Can’t figure out how to get them back and now I can’t place any images. Nothing shows up when I import any new photos.
me too, no idea whats going on!
Same, mine are gone. I think Figma is having an issue.
Hi everyone,
Thank you for reporting this issue with images disappearing/not loading.
Our engineering teams are currently investigating and about to deploy a fix.
We will let you know once the issue has been fixed. In the meantime, feel free to also keep an eye at our status page.
Apologies for the inconvenience this issue might be causing.
P.S.: I’ve split your reports into a new topic, since the original topic you posted under was an old one and likely related to a different issue.
I ran into this issue just now, and I think I figured out what’s going on.
For my prototype (Shop & Inventory) I went a bit overboard with unique images for products, as well as screenshots from competing apps for reference. This morning, I added another image to my file, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. (In this case, Figma’s image cache.) All PNG images disappeared.
On a hunch, I started deleting any unused PNGs and reference screenshots, and removed many of the unique product images, then repeatedly emptied the cache and restarted Figma.
With each pass, the images I do need/want to keep for the prototype started reappearing.
I noticed that images are not loading on my files in my account, then checked my client’s account and found the same issue, but weirdly no one is talking about it… anyone esle having that issue at the moment?
10 minutes ago , I was able to view the images and right after a reload . I was unable to see them . I am using google chrome incognito for the web browser
I have the same issue. Need to restore the file as soon as possible but nothing helps
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on a project for the past week, and today when I opened the project, none of the images were showing. I tried reloading the tab, checked the network settings, and my internet connection, but nothing worked. How can I fix this?
Hit reply too soon - wanted to add that there might be a limit to how many images you can have on your Figma board before Figma gets overwhelmed. It’s also possible that it’s less about image count and more about total image data size.
As promised, I am back to deliver (hopefully) good news.
I have just heard from our engineering teams and they have deployed a fix for this issue.
Please refresh your files and, if needed, clear cache from your browser or desktop app (whichever you are using). Let us know if the issue still persists for you!
A post was merged into an existing topic: You don’t have access to this file
The problem still exists. I can’t save the file to local or use the plugin related to image too.
I’ve reset the hosts file, and now the issues are gone.
