Hello, I once had figma’s education plan but now it expired. I tried to reapply but it says “Verification Limit Exceeded” does this mean that the you can only have the education plan for only one time?

I have created a library of icons, some harvested from an icon library, some created in Illustrator etc. The icons are all vectors set up as shown:I have used these icons in buttons with 2 states default and pressed, the pressed state is the inverse of the default - simple monochrome. The colours are selected from a colour style:the buttons incorporate an instance swap for the icon. The issue I am having is that when I insert an instance of a button in the pressed state the icon in the pressed state behaves randomly, sometimes remaining black when it should be white. Default state is always OK, random behavior always occurs in the icons that have been recoloured in the pressed state. I am sure there are some best practices for creating icons and I am doing something fundamentally wrong. If anyone has a foolproof method for ensuring icons respect the colour state set in the button variant I am all ears!!full disclosure: not all the icons are noe set up the same as I have been experiment

Im a student and for my college activities i need figma education plan, i used figma in the previous two semesters but now i cant verify my account no matter how much i tried, i either get error or verification limit exceeded and all im trying to do is send my student info in order to get education plan pass. Can somebody tell me where exactly should i send my student info in order to get this plan and how long will it take for me to get my education plan?

I have created files sitemap.xml (13 links) and robot.txt in public. But when checking robot.txt I am redirected to the main page, and sitemap contains only one link to the main page. Google Search Console also sees only 1 link in sitemap. Requested help from the support but still no answer.

Why can’t I just export the selected pdf files merged and compressed?

When I’m selecting a color variable the previews aren’t showing even though my library is enabled and I’ve already tried restarting Figma and my computer? I’m also not on Figma beta

Hi all, I’m running into a frustrating situation in Figma with component instances and variable propagation.I have a button system structured like this: _button/dna → skeleton (spacing, padding, icon placement, pill shape) _button/style → layout + state layers (including hug/fill variants) button/theme → color variables applied to layers in _button/style The problem: When I change a color variable in button/theme, some instances don’t update. Even overrides that aren’t related to color — for example, changing an instance from “hug” → “fill” — blocks variable updates. To work around this, I’ve had to create many extra variants in the theme component to cover each hug/fill combination so variables propagate, which is messy and hard to maintain. This feels like a workaround for a Figma quirk: any override on an instance, even unrelated to color, can stop variable updates from propagating.

I am creating a lo-fi digital prototype in Figma.  All of my connection nodes work in my prototype in preview mode except for the following….”Back” arrow created by using the “line point” tool.  In prototype mode I am able to connect each point to it’s proper page, but when I play my prototype, I get Nothing on every one of the pages that the Arrow is on.  I have tried enlarging the stroke width on the arrow.  deleting the arrows and creating them again.  I am missing something and would appreciate the help.  Thank you...Angel

Hi everyone,As deadline for re-verifying our Education status (29 September) is coming up, I’m very worried our team may not complete it in time, which could impact ongoing design projects. Our issue: VUS (Vietnam-USA Society English Centers) does not appear in the Vietnam academic institutions list during the SheerID verification step. Because of this, we cannot proceed with re-verification for Figma Education. I submitted a support ticket to SheerID last week asking to have VUS added to the schools list. However, the response I received did not resolve the issue (screenshot attached).SheerID Customer Support responseHas anyone faced a similar problem, or does anyone know the best way to resolve this quickly? How do I make these red rectangles disappear in my edit page?? These aren’t appearing in the actual site though… I’m 30 minutes into Figma, im a highschool student and I have to finish my project quickly pleas e help 😭 

Hey everyone, I’ve noticed that my website, which hosts a YouTube Thumbnail Downloader tool, is loading very slowly and sometimes doesn’t open at all. I’m not sure if it’s a hosting, cache, or API issue. Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing this problem and how to fix it?

I am creating an ‘infinite’ photo gallery. Basically a grid of images in various orientations that extends in all directions. I am creating empty rectangles to make the grid shape and then have other people paste their images into each rectangle. The problem I am having is a lot of the rectangles were rotated so when the image is pasted into it, the image is also rotated. Is there a way to make all the rectangles ‘forget’ how they have been rotated and just work as a regular container for the images? thanks

I prefer exporting my Outlook emails to Excel because it helps me stay organized and manage my communication better. With everything in a single spreadsheet, I can quickly sort, filter, and find specific emails without going through my inbox. It also makes it easier for me to analyze work patterns, track conversations, and create reports when needed.

I had a Figma account registered with this some email address. Unfortunately, I have lost access to that email account.After the recent Figma update, when I try to log in, it asks me not only for my username and password but also for an access code that is sent to my email. Since I no longer have access to that email, I can’t enter the code and therefore can’t log in to my Figma account.As a result, I’ve lost access to all my files and projects, which are extremely important for my work. I’m really worried because I need them urgently to continue working.Could someone please tell me how to recover access to my account or transfer my files to a new email address?Thank you so much for your help — this is very important to me.

When I apply my text property to my 'Ghost' variant, it removes my underline style on the text. Whenever I apply the underline style to my ghost variant again, it applies it to all my variants. Is this normal? 

Hi, I recently created a figma for education account, and messed up by deleting the account. I had verified the email for this account, and now, using the same email in the new account, I cannot reverify for education. What do I do to get figma for education verified again?

Im using the Coolicons Icon library. One day these yellow frame outlines appeared and I’m not sure why. What are these yellow outlines on my icon frames? Have never seen this come up in the past, not sure if this corresponds to ‘Absolute Position’ or not… How do I get rid of them? 

I have a component called tabs-btn with these properties: state: active / inactive text showIcon Then I have a main component Tabs that contains multiple nested instances of tabs-btn.I exposed all nested properties, so when I select a tab inside Tabs, I can see and edit its props directly — this part works fine.Now I want to add a visibility switcher (Boolean) for each tab instance — so that I can show or hide specific tabs inside the parent Tabs component.The problem is that Figma doesn’t allow assigning Booleans directly to nested instances — so I can’t just create a Boolean property inside tabs-btn and expose it upwards.The only workaround I found is to manually create multiple separate variables like showTab1, showTab2, etc., for each tab instance.That works technically, but it’s a messy and non-scalable setup (especially if the number of tabs changes).👉 Is there any smarter way to do this — for example, to let each nested instance have its own independent Boolean toggle (visi
