Example: https://fontawesome.com/icons/magnifying-glass?f=classic&s=regular I have an issue with font awesome rendering in Figma. When I copy the icon glyph itself on URL above (on the upper right in the modal) and paste it into figma, font awesome renders it as icon. If I copy the icon name “magnifying-glass” as text and apply font awesome to it, it doesn’t work half the time and renderds as plain text. Anyone knows what is causing this? It’s a problem since devs can’t see the icon’s name when inspecting if I copy paste the icon itself. 

I’m using Untitled UI to create some of my screens. I dragged and dropped components from its 2 main files (variables and examples). The problem is that now, I have components that “inherit” values from 2 different palettes. The main issue with this is that when I try to switch a whole screen from “Dark mode” to “Light mode”, some components won’t switch, as they inherit values from the other file. How can I solve this? Thanks!!! :)  

Hope someone can clarify as i’m struggling to get an answer.An external designer has created an icon font for us. I have uploaded this to the resources section which enables me to use and edit the font in a design file (without having it installed in my Mac font book)However another external designer “Guest” who has a full design seat, gets an notification when they open the file with this typeface to swap it to one installed on their system.I then checked with an internal designer (non guest) and they can see and edit the typeface without it being in their font book too.Can anyone clarify who is able to use the typeface? its seems a little pointless adding to resources if some designers still have to have have it installed, doesn't feel logical.Is it only guests that can’t use it unless its installed on their system?

Everytime I leave Figma window to go to another window, I get this “New available font: Raleway” notifications. Why is this happening? How do i turn it off?

Hi there,the first draft feature is really useful to make wireframes. However I sometimes need to alter these manually after generating them, but the used Libraries are not available. Or did I just not find them?It would be really useful if they could be provided as a library or UI Kit in Figma, to use the same components to keep refining the wireframes in further iterations after the first generation.Thanks for considering publishing these,all the bestMikka

 Hi everyone!My problem isn’t new to this community - I’ve read a ton of threads about ghost variables.The point is, my variables are not displayed under “Used” group, they were “created in this file”. The “detach deleted variables” plugin doesn’t work, bc apparently they are still used somewhere. I’ve checked my Variables panel, it’s clean, I’ve also checked all of my text styles for any rogue size/line height or spacing variable - they are all in place.I’m silently going crazy over here. Is there any solution, apart from detaching all the text styles and reattaching them again. Also when I’m switching these modes, nothing is happening, otherwise that would be too easy.Any help appreciated! 

Hi,What is the easies way to make this text in shape effect?If you know a plugin for making typography like this would be great. The tool mentioned uses AI and it is not totally free ... needs AI credits to work.Thanks!

I started using Figma Make yesterday and subscribed to the Professional plan(full seat).The design copy feature was working fine at first, but when I checked again today, it seems to be disabled and I can no longer use it. img1) Figma Make, disabled design copy buttonI’m wondering if this is an issue on my side, or if there was any official announcement from the Figma team regarding this change. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I used to be able to move objects by 10 pixels in any direction while holding the measure to selection button (option or Alt + Shift and move). But now when I do this, the object does not move anymore, but it shows measurements to objects which are further away. Did I activate this by accident? I want to be able to move 10 pixels while measuring.

If my Figma design file is very big and starts to run slowly, what can I do to make it faster?

I’m trying to use Figma Make to generate a few pages as a way to test the tool. However, when I select a component and variable library, it simply doesn’t follow it. It uses colors with almost no contrast and font sizes that make no sense. I even tested it without selecting any library, and the results were about 90% better.Does anyone know why this happens?

Hello, there is a problem - when running through the program, a solid black screen appears on the desktop, while buttons such as minimize, close and shrink the screen -it all works, I assume other buttons also work, but everything is flooded with black. Logging into the figma account through the browser, everything appears and works fine, the problem is only in the program on the desktop. I rebooted the computer, reinstalled the Figma, but the problem did not solve, please tell me what to do, it is more convenient to work through the program separately than switching between browser tabs.

Hi,We have a password protected figma file with branches.Some of those branches were for reference and not intended to merge back with main. We have archived them, but documentation still have a direct link to them.Password is not working when using the direct link to the archived file.Collaborators need to connect to main file and enter password there before opening the branch.Is this the expected behavior or is this a bug?Thank you.

I'm working on a project where I have a left panel for navigation and a right aligned sidebar for notifications, activity etc conducted on this tool. For the left panel I created two variants - expanded and collapsed versions, which work fine in prototype mode. However, I'm facing issues with the right sidebar. I created two variants for that as well - expanded and collapsed, whereby the collapsed variant should change to the expanded variant on clicking the blue arrow icon (see images 1 &2). In prototype mode the variants do change on interaction, but the expanded sidebar variant doesn't open inwards (into the frame) from right to left, but it opens outside the frame (see the images 3 & 4 to understand what I mean). I am sure the solution is something simple and has something to do with the constraints but I have tried changing the alignment to "right" for both variants (they are set at "left" in the images) but that didn't work either. For refer

I’m new to Figma and I’m designing a website prototype. I have viewed a number of tutorials and they all show a “Prototype” panel at the top right. Mine only shows an “Interactions” panel and does not contain an “Overlay” option. What am I missing? Figma Desktop App version 125.10.4 on an M4 Mac mini
