Anyone knows if there is possibilities to import grid data in Figma? so that no need to type the data in grid to get real app feeling.

When I hover the arrow from the green button over the frame, the entire layout is highlighted, instead of the individual frame that I need. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve created a component with open and closed states. When I leave it in the open state and prototype I am able to connect it, but when I close the menu I lose the connection when i go to preview the prototype. What’s the work around here?

I’m trying to share a file within a team project to developers but for this particular file, after I add their emails and click send, I see the confirmation toast but it says 0 people were invited. I am not the owner of this file, but the file owner experiences the same issue. I have not had this issue sharing other files within the team whether I’m the owner or not.

The new UI has changed access to add component and add variant. The add component creates cognitive dissonance, however add variant is a massive degradation in UX. Adding a component was available via the toolbar and easy to find. Now to add a component you must use the context menu, main menu (under object) or keyboard shortcut. Previously it was easy to find, now you have to go searching, though not a huge problem. Adding a variant was also very accessible via the same toolbar. To add a variant, you must use the context menu with 23 items. Find the 17th item, click on it to open the submenu, choose the second option. There is no short cut, it is not available via the menu, and it is not available via the actions on the toolbar. While the new UI may bring joy from a aesthetics pov, and does make some items more accessible. It is a pain in the rear when it comes to components. Maybe take a page from Microsoft and have contextual toolbars, so that when a frame is selected you can easily

I’m encountering a couple of issues in Figma when working with variables and component states: Variable-Linked Text Not Updating: I created a string variable with two modes: “Value 1” and “Value 2.” I then linked this variable to a text element so that the text updates based on the variable’s value. I also created an action with two states. In the default state, clicking on the component sets the string variable to “Value 1.” In the second state, clicking sets the string variable to "Value 2."When I play the prototype, the text linked to the variable updates correctly after the first click. However, after that initial interaction, further clicks don’t change the text as expected. The variable’s value seems to stop updating. I tried starting the prototype twice—once with the action in the default state and once with the action in the second state—but encountered the same issue both times. I copied a text from a website and pasted in Figma. when i apply my variable font there is this (2) in front of the variable name. I guess it has something to do with the hyperlinks. What is this number showing and how can I solve it?

Would be great to be able to trigger this from our plugin, which is assisting the user in building an app. Once of the biggest challenges we hit is poorly structured designs, so being able to trigger this when we see parts of the screen that are not using structured auto layouts would be very helpful. Any chance this is going to make it into the API?

When our objects are using fill / hug, don’t make us click the drop down just to find out what the selected height / width is. Why can’t it always be displayed while having the fill / hug property. This is bad UX… abstraction for the sake of abstraction.

Hey guys, Not too long ago, the TAB BAR (top bar containign the tabs in Figma) was dark, just like the toolbar underneath. For some reason it changed and now it looks totally weird. Is there a way to change it back to dark? The look was so clean and organized. I don’t wanna swsitch to the dark theme, I love how it used to be, dark tab bar and tool bar and light left and right panels. Thanks, Chris

Hi there, My issue is involving the Figma Prototype app for iOS on both the TestFlight and official version. I am having an issue where the font weights of my fonts keep changing from bold to regular and won’t change back again. Original Active In Active As you can see from my examples, the top image is a non-interacted state. However, when I hit the “Play” button, you can see the font has shift not only smaller but font weight-less too. If I hit the “Pause” button, so that I can get it back to the original state, the font weight carries over.

I noticed that the icons in my files no longer show black as if they are published libraries. They re unexpectedly blue but there’s a new icon I’ve never noticed before. Looks like a dog legged arrow. Does anyone know what these mean?

Hi, I have an interactive text field that takes key values and sets them into a string variable by concatenating each key value. But the issue is that I want to set all clicked key values into INT not in STRING because I need to do some calculations on it after this.But I do not know how all digits are stored in numeric variables. For Example: when a user enters 5023 in the text field then I want intVariable to store each digit as it is(Currently possible to store only in a string) Can anyone have a solution or any idea how to do it or any suggestion if there is something so that I can convert string to integer into Figma?

It’s been over 48 hours since I emailed about a possible double charge issue with my account, and I still haven’t received a response.

Previously, I had a Free team where I was able to create at least one FigJam file within a project and allow my partner to edit it. After upgrading the team to the Professional level, I selected one seat in Figma (for myself) and nothing for FigJam, hoping that I would still be able to edit my single FigJam Board. However, when I later tried to open the existing FigJam, I was asked to purchase an additional paid seat for FigJam. It turns out that in a Starter Team, I can access FigJam Starter Team features, but in a Professional Team, I can’t use FigJam at all. Maybe I’m missing something, but doesn’t this seem a bit strange?

My team and I recently branched our design system library, to make changes to a master component. We merged the branch, and published the changes to the master component, but Figma is not showing the new design changes (or frame of the now larger master component). It shows the old, more simple design of the master component, even though it does allow me to select the larger master component frame, and other new variants that were added to the master component.

I am having problem with this new update cause every time i copy svg code and paste some where in jsx which is not needed …please let me know if there is any work arround or setting to work with it thanks in advance

Hi, I want to create a particular scroll effect, it’s similar at this Edelschwarz Alpine Bio Spirits In my case I would like the fixed image of the bottle to change colour during scrolling, and also the background behind it to change colour during scrolling, to make it clearer I would like in the first block there to be a green background and a yellow bottle, then as I scroll a red background with a pink bottle comes up, but in all this the bottle must always remain still in the same position. I don’t know if I’ve managed to explain myself… Thank’s!!

First question, does the Figma team address support if I only have a starter account? I just wrote a whole long paragraph there and I do NOT want to write it all over again here. But if they won’t respond to me, so then in summary, I have 2 Google accounts, and both of them have Jamboard files. I would like to transfer both of them to Figma before the end of the year. So I clicked “Import>Add Jamboard Files>Google Account Login” for the first account and it was successful. Now I still have my second account, and I again clicked “Import>Add Jamboard Files” but now it only shows my linked account. I don’t have an option to connect another account there. Is there a button I missed? I also am not open to transferring the files to the currently linked account, as there are too many files and I have to ask for the permission of many other people(which is time consuming and hard). Also, if I export my Jams from Google Drive, they are saved as a PDF file which makes it lose its editab
