I have the needed fonts installed on my machine. But when I use figma on browser it is showing font missing. Also, no option to map the system font.

Figma becomes unresponsive whenever I try to set a GIF as the background. I’ve restarted my system multiple times, but the issue persists. Could you please advise on what steps I can take to resolve this?

I have a mobile screen I’m setting up for prototype designs. The parent frame is fixed. Inside, there is a ‘page wrapper’ are a couple of UI elements to show iPhone UI - they are set to ‘fill container’ and respond accordingly as I resize. There is also a navBar, which is also set to fill container and responds when resized. However, I also have a page wrapper which currently only contains a hero section and after searching and trying all solutions, I cannot for the life of me get it to resize with the parent frame - the ‘fill container’ option is always missing. it seems there are a lot of use cases where this is, at best, confusing.

It look same, but Dropdown actually is a component, Table Cell is instance. Honestly freak me a little, I though my component are all missing. Is there a way to change the symbol without retreat to previous UI? I kind like the UI3

After the config 2024, I was waiting for the Figma AI feature. But still I don’t get it. I have no idea what can I do to access this feature.

Issue Description: I have created a button component with a hover state animation. The setup involves creating two variants: a default state and a hover state. The interaction is set to “While hovering” with “Smart Animate” as the chosen animation. Despite following the correct setup procedures, the animation does not play in the variant instance when I insert it into a design. Additionally, this issue occurs with any variant component animation I create, not just the button component. Troubleshooting Steps Taken: I verified that the interaction settings were correctly configured for the hover state in the component. I ensured that the prototype is in presentation mode. I checked the component organization and variant linking to ensure everything is correctly set up. I restarted Figma and tried using both the browser and desktop versions. It seems like the click area in UI3 is much smaller than in UI2, and the cross in the center is quite short. I hope the dev team can increase its size and length.

Hey, I was working on a Figma File with my Team and I changed the Fonts (when pop-up was there “change into…” then I used Open Sans) because firstly, I thought it’s only me who will see this change and secondly, I hadn’t the right font downloaded yet. Then I installed the right fonts and now, every time I click on an element in this file (which is still visually in General Grotesque) is changing into Open Sans. How can I reverse this? So this is not happening?? I hope for help here 🙂

I already have performance issues every so often while collaborating with coworkers through Zoom and screen share. And the new Beta UI completely took down my system first attempt to share my screen. I fought through the lag and finally was able to click back to the old (current) UI and all the lag was gone immediately. Anyone else struggle with performance while sharing your screen in a work session?

I found a bug when accessing the constraints dropdown. I’m not able to access the dropdown. I’m still able to click the interactive graphic and adjust the constraint settings, but the dropdown doesn’t open when clicked. I would upload a video demonstrating the bug, but as a new user I’m not allowed to.

Is it difficult to work on pixelated text in Figma? Like when Photoshop uses the ‘font > anti-aliasing: none’ value. I need a button in pixel font, is there only Photoshop available? ex)

I noticed that the Figma toolbar is at the bottom of the browser page. Is it possible to customize its position? I would move it back to the top if possible.

Trying to use the Export in DevMode where a component has it’s background defined in the component frame. This is a powerful feature of components to avoid having additional assets for backgrounds. However, we can’t seem to find a way to export just the background of the component as an asset in DevMode. Does anyone know if this is possible?

in older version it was possible to adjust width and height with % calculations for e.g. i have a element which is having width of 100px and i want to make it 80% of current width, i had to just type 80% and Figma was making the width 80% (80px in this case). i know that it is available in scale feature but i just wan to make the adjustment separately on width or height

I’ve created two separate components (dummy-pages-1 and dummy-pages-2) with three color variants each. I’m using a ‘selectedPage’ variable to swap between variants of dummy-pages-1 on button clicks, but I can’t get the buttons for dummy-pages-2 variants to work. How can I modify my setup to allow switching between variants from both components using a single instance on the stage?

I understand Figma has a 2GB limit. I have a project with multiple large PNGs, just the nature of the project, that are made for print. There are not many components or layers in this project, compared to most, yet a simple 8-10 large PNGs are causing memory errors and causing Figma to through the memory error screen on a very regular basis whenever I edit anything in the component that modifies the overlays on those 8-10 PNGs. Any suggestions for how to deal with large PNGs and their requisite pull on memory in Figma?

Hi Everyone, I am new to the community. I have faced an issue with using the same variant component across multiple frames. I created a simple variant component with two states: False state: showing a heart without filling True state: showing a heart with filling. I copied this component into multiple frames. When I tested the prototype, if I click on the heart on one page, it changes to the filled state. However, I noticed that the hearts on all other pages also change to the filled state. I want to ensure that the component state on other page remain unchanged unless I click on them. How do I do that? I know I could create a separate variant component for each page, but that would be very time-consuming. Is there a more efficient way to achieve this goal?

Hi Community, I have been struggle with this question. I have 12 images on my screen. For each image, I have a variant set up so that when I click on it, it greys out. I want to limit the selection to 3 images only, which means that once I have selected 3 images, I should not be able to select any more. How can I achieve this? Thank you so much!

Hi, Sorry if this is an extremely stupid question, I’m completely new to Figma and UI design in general. I’m working on the UI for a form-type mobile app - and when I prototype it, despite me only using 3 frames, 11-12 pages generate. Each individual form component takes up a page for some weird reason. Can I understand why this is happening, and how to fix this please? Thank you in advance 🙂

From the past few days when I try to export in pdf the blue colors appear black (screenshot attached), I tried all the different option but no change, it drives me crazy! I already exported this file many times in the past without any issue Any idea??
