I want to record a prototype, while showing the touch circle, to simulate a real user interaction. Currently the only way to get a touch circle instead of a mouse curser, is by selecting a phone frame. Is there a way to do it, with out the phone frame? I would rather record a ‘clean’ full screen, without the frame.

We’re working on automating the QA process for validating the design in Figma after it’s translated to HTML. Specifically, we need to extract and compare the CSS properties (e.g., padding, background color, alignment) and the text content of Figma widgets to their corresponding HTML elements. Does Figma offer any prebuilt plugins or tools that allow easy extraction of these properties and text? Alternatively, would the Figma REST API be a good approach to read these properties and text directly? Any suggestions or experiences on how to best automate this process would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi community, I have 12 letter sized frames that I have grouped together to create the sewing pattern on top of. The overlapping layers are all grouped together but I can not “split” the content into the 12 frames without messing up the overlapping layers and pattern. How can I do this so that the layers combine and split at the borders of each frame so i can individually move each one and print them as PDFs? Right now it only saves as one pdf which ruins the scale. Thank you!!

I have an info button component (24x24) that shows the info pop up (250x200) while hovering. When I include the info button trigger in an auto layout of a form, the hover state expands the row in the form. Is there any way to have the hover state float above the form as one normally would?

Everytime im trying to use “Outline Stroke” on the vector im making with the pen tool the tab im working on just freezes 😕 does everybody else also get this?

I have an education Figma plan that I use as a beginner but now I want to switch to the free Figma plan. Can anybody please tell me that if it is a good decision or not? and Will I lose my current files?

I got the new UI design, for the moment I am adapting well to the new design but before if you do not have dev mode you were able to inspect the screens using the properties tab places in he up area of the right side bar tools, here is this tab now? how we can explore our design if we do not have dev more?

Searching for components inside using Shift + I dropdown, now requires Exact path matching from the start, rather than partial match inside the Component string name. Same applies to colours searching. Eg. If I search for ‘40’, no primary40 is shown. But if search for ‘primary’ then all primary tokens are show ( which is correct ). Text styles is not affected by this. This behaviour changed since the latest quality of life update, which I’m super happy for btw.

Hey there, I’d love to get your input on this multi-icon color topic. I finally managed to get the button icons to change color based on the state of the button. (It took me a while, but now the icon layer names match, so that if the color of the icon changes in the master component, it also changes in the instance, even when changing icons.) This is the way we typically structure icons: Now things get a little more complex: I have some icons that are multicolored, e.g. and they are structured like this in most of the cases we use the same color but we just change the opacity of the layer, (there are few cases where we just change to a completely different color). This multicolor icon structure was chosen because we found it to be the best way to handle SVG exports. When I use this icon in a “button icon” where I have the instance swap property, the color of the icon does not take the color of the component, I suppose because the layer names do not match. When i try to clean my projects in team from unimportant stuff, i thought i moved one of important files to other team, but now it lost i can’t get the access to project, there are a huge work there 😦 when i deleted my team there are no even any projects. so i confused why it was happened! And i can’t restore my team, because after couple of months i remembered of this project, and my customer can’t get the access too, and they did’nt do any copy of this. Hi, I have two .fig files. One was the component library of the other. I was given both .fig files, but all the links between the components were broken. I have master components on one side and component instances on the other, but they no longer have any links together. How can I link them together without having to do it one by one, because otherwise it’s really time-consuming. Can you help me ? It’s possible ? Thank you in advance for your help

When you see the attachment, it shows Local Variables and User Variables that collections I have never used or defined. Any clue to sort this out?

Hi! We were separating out our variables to a global design system from the component library. We are having a issue with getting duplicates in our variables section. We have detached all the components before moving it into a new working file. The issue that we are seeing is in the new working file, we have “used variables” and the variables from our global design system. Is there a way to resolve this issue without going through each component in the new working file? Hope there is a eady way to resolve this!

I’ve been trying to contact Figma’s sales team since yesterday regarding unexpected charges and deductions for the premium plan. Despite multiple attempts, I haven’t received any callbacks or emails from their sales or support teams. Every time I call, I’m instructed to press 2 to connect, but when I do, I get an ‘invalid selection, please try again’ message. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does Figma’s sales team even exist?

Heyyy fellow Figs ❤️ 💜 💙 💚. Our content team picked up some double spacing issues on a PDF I had created for a Brand Bible we’re about to launch. Weirdly enough when I opened up my Figma file, double-clicking on the text box to edit immediately sorts out the double-spacing automatically. (As in it snaps into place when I want to edit the text) Does anyone know why my PDF is doing this? Why does it render out with double spacing in between some words?

Hello there! When try to open the application in macos , I couldn’t able to open it. " Move to Applications Folder Please move the Figma app into the Applications folder and try again. If the app is already in the Applications folder, drag it into some other folder and then back into Applications." How to resolve it ?

We want to build our own website and list some Figma work links on it. When our users click the link, we expect people could open it in desktop other than the browser, how could us achieve that? Looking to recreate the team’s Colour library using Figma variables. Have used a couple of plugins to get this far: Converting all the light mode colour styles to variables - done Converting all the dark mode colour styles to variables - done Moving them into same file - Light mode variables and Dark Mode variables - Done Parent Component library, can now toggle between Light Mode and Dark mode themes from the child library which has the variables. But when pulling that component library into a furthr figure file (which uses the components to make up screens), when toggling between light mode and child mode (next to layers when the screens are selected, altough the selected frame says “Light Mode” or “Dark Mode” no colour change happens. Is there something I’m missing or is the file structure need updating?
