Hi everyone, I’m requesting the restoration of a feature that used to allow entering percentage values directly in the size fields (width/height) of elements in Figma. This was super useful for responsive design and scaling elements efficiently. Unfortunately, this feature seems to have been removed, and now we can only input pixel values. Here’s a quick breakdown: Before, you could simply enter something like “50%” into the size field (which is especially handy for things like infographics), and the element would resize accordingly. Now, only pixel values are accepted, which slows down the workflow when working with dynamic or flexible layouts. Does anyone else miss this feature? If so, let’s get this noticed by the Figma team and hopefully bring it back!

Im asking “how” rather than “can we” because I am giving Figma the benefit of the doubt here. When I do figma.currentPage, it seems to only be able to interact with things inside the canvas. I want to interact with the entire app / ui. I want add a button in the design or prototype tabs. How can I do that?

Hi guys. When I make progress on my design file, I usually create a prototype and share the link with clients so they can experience the look and feel in real time. However, I recently discovered that clients can somehow access my actual working file through the prototype link. 😑 I want to share a prototype link that only shows the prototype, without granting access to my working file. Is that possible? I mean, it should be. Currently, clients need to request view permissions for the prototype, which is fine, but those permissions should apply strictly to the prototype link. After granting view permission, I noticed they can also access my working file, exposing all pages and work-in-progress areas. 😱🤯 Am I missing something about sharing a prototype-only link, or is this a serious issue? If that’s the case❗️, Figma definitely needs an option for a prototype-only link. If I want clients to access my working file, I can do this by sharing the file link separatel

I have never given anybody editor permission and I have only ever signed up for the 1 seat for myself. Yet out of nowhere I have received a bill for $72 saying that I am using 3 seats. I can’t even find any settings to see where these seats are. Why am I being charged and how can I stop this?

Hello! I have a design library in which I created multiple local variable collections. However, when I try to use them in a design file (where the design library is enabled), I can only select modes from the first collection I’ve added (the rest don’t appear in the list). Do you know why the other collections do not appear in the “Layer/Change variable mode” list? NB I’ve published the changes made in the library and accepted all the changes in the design file. I have a Professional plan.

I’m new in Figma, but i want any vector image to scale when i drag the card. I don’t want the scale tool, i just want to know how do i make any vector image (in this case: those circles) to scale along the responsive card. In the third image i scaled manualy. Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with Figma – the website simply won’t load properly. Whenever I try to access the editing tools, it redirects me to this link: https://www.figma.com/files/team/1186737727119053674/recents-and-sharing/recently-viewed?fuid=1186737719431308147, and even if I remove everything after the “/”, it still takes me back to that page with a strange black screen. I’ve already tried configuring my browser, testing with two other browsers, and doing everything I could think of. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I would really appreciate it! Hi. I’m an iPad Pro 3rd gen if this is necessary to know for my problem. Anyways. I used to be able to group my layers but recently Figma has not been letting me group layers anymore. I can’t do it by clicking CMD+G or right clicking and clicking on the group selection option. Plus I have to constantly refresh the website. If I click off the website to a new tab or a different program it messes with Figma and I have to refresh to be able to do anything on Figma. Has anyone else had any of these issues?

Hello everyone. Designer here. I’m designing sites on Figma and then my development team are building them. This is less of a Figma question and more of a design question. A common bit of feedback we get once the designs are built and on the development site is that everything looks too big - as if everything is zoomed in (we’ve checked, everyone is at 100% scale on their browsers). I’m struggling to find resources or discussion online addressing this but coming up short. The developers generally use laptops and I presume the clients are usually also using laptops to view the sites. I design on the larger 27 inch imac. My base body copy is 16pt for example - following all guidelines that suggest this to be a solid choice. I try to largely stick to a 8px design system for type. The developers set 1 rem to be 8px - body copy is set to 2 rem. However once built it just looks ‘big’. I’m really struggling to see where things are going wrong here. Is it my designs? Hello, I’m new to Figma and currently exploring the app. While watching some tutorials, I came across the options for alignment and padding (Packed/space between) to use them for nav design. However, I’m unable to locate these options in the updated version of Figma. Are there alternative ways to achieve this in the current version? Think about: https://www.flowbase.co/, https://figmacomponents.com/ I’m currently figuring out how they do section X inside a copy to clipboard button. (Want to build this for a client) But, I am not coming to an end, after googling for hours, I can’t find anything about this. Is there someone how this exactly works? Would love to know that!

Similar issue to Font weight labeled differently from styles to dev mode to code and Font weights do not match with web. We are using Plus Jakarta Sans font in our designs, and noticed that while in Figma the font-weight is set to 600, the actual font weight being used is 500. Going to google fonts, it is easy to see the difference! Plus Jakarta Sans - Google Fonts We checked both dev and design mode, and both modes show the font weight as 600 even though visually it is 500.
