I am trying to draw things (arrows, boxes, whatever) in FigJam to mark up some ideation but the marker tool keeps automatically “softening” or changing the shape of whatever I’m trying to draw. For example, if I draw a sharp-cornered rectangle, it automatically softens the corners and adjusts some of the line angles. Up/down carets turn into “u” shapes instead of “v” shapes. I drew a “filter” icon and it smushed it into a blob. This is super annoying. Does anyone know how to turn this off or make it be more dumb, and just leave whatever I create alone the way I created it? I can’t indicate the things I’m trying to indicate if it’s going to just change them into completely different icons/shapes.

Hello everyone, I’d like to make a carousel using variables. My aim is to scroll through the different variants of my component using the arrows. I don’t want to disable the arrows, so I’ll return to my first variant when I’ve viewed them all. In this example, I have 3 variants, but if the solution could work with an infinite number of variants, that would be great. I’ve tried a lot of things without success, so I’m wondering if it’s really possible. I’ve used a String variable to change my variants, but I have the impression that even using conditions it’s impossible to say IF RED shoes → put GREEN IF GREEN → put WHITE IF WHITE → put RED At least I haven’t found the solution. Here Header is fill container and elements inside are also behave with size. All the other sections aligns with header with same responsive style. Still why the white space in present mode??

Hi! I am finding that some of the slides in my presentation are no longer editable. This seems to have happened recently with random slides in the presentation - no element is able to be selected. Is this a setting I’ve inadvertently turned on or a bug?

I created a presentation in Figma Slides, and it’s zoomed in when I go in presentation mode. And there isn’t a way to “Zoom to fit” like there is in prototype mode. Help!

For some reason when I type to add text to my design, there is no place for me to choose the font I want. I can change the size and weight of the text. But I can not change the text font. I have read and watched so many videos and I still can not seem to figure it out. I have added a screenshot

Hi all, I’m designing a button for my website, and I’m facing an issue with auto-resizing. The button consists of two layers: The top layer (where the text/copy is placed). A bottom layer, which acts as a decentered outline for the button. I have created the button as a component, and I want it to resize automatically when the text changes. However, only the top layer resizes with the text, while the bottom layer (the decentered outline) stays fixed, requiring manual adjustments. I’ve tried various approaches, like grouping the two layers, but I haven’t found a solution yet. Could anyone guide me on how to make both layers resize automatically in sync with the text? I’m looking to quickly duplicate a bunch of frames that I made for presentation into Figma Slides. I just had Figma suggest this functionality to me upon duplicating a frame, but can’t seem to manually find the action. I assume it’s possible, does anyone know?

Hello, As the Comments API endpoint is the only one that allows POST it is going to play a critical role in a compliance validator tool of an internally developed webapp’s implementation to its design within Figma our company is developing. I just realized however there is a gap between our need and the Comment endpoint’s capability: which is, the ability to mark a Comment as Resolved via a POST method (or PUT, to be compliant with best practices). The need is to not litter the design page with Comments added via the API by the design compliance validator tool. So the plan was to immediately mark comments added by it as resolved. That was to be an important part of a user friendly implementation we had initially thought we would be able to do. I am therefore making this request that you enhance the endpoint by adding the ability to mark comments resolved. It’s been over three days since I filed a support ticket. On Oct 3rd I had a designer from my sister company manage to access my team’s Figma organization account without my Admin permission. She has an account with the other company, but our Figma accounts are separate. However, she was managed to change her seat role and view files that required invite only. She never had access to this account or was given access to view files on this account. This is really concerning to me. The some can easily break into my Figma organization account without being given permission from the Admin, which is me.

Hello All, I’m new to the Figma world and I was wondering if there is an option or workaround to my issue. I saw that this was asked about a year ago but no answer/solution was given. I’m looking for something similar to Format painter in Word. I need to align boxes, texts etc. on multiple pages and instead of manually entering the coordinates for each one separately form each element (very time consuming) it would be nice if I could just copy the coordinates, fonts, definitions etc. and apply them to the target location instantly like with format painter. I’m new to using figma so I’m definitely still learning. I followed a tutorial on how to create a loading animation but when I go to play it, it doesn’t animate at all. I don’t know if I’m missing something or if I did it wrong so any help would be greatly appreciated. Figma – 29 Mar 23

Hey, not sure if this is the right section. If it isn’t, just let me know. I’ve been struggling with this issue for a few weeks right now, and it really affects my productivity. When I select a Regular weight text style, Figma converts it to Bold. I was not able to identify a pattern of what causes this or when this happens. Found another thread of the same issue, it is 9 months old now: Figma glitch: Style text weight changes from regular to bold irreversibly and breaks all links with font style Does anyone have a fix for this?

I’m using elements that expand downwards on click, pushing the content below it down the page. My pages are set up with autolayout as that’s the only way that I’m aware of to have the page height dynamically change in a prototype. But this seems to force the page back to the top for a moment every time an element expands or contracts if I’m not already scrolled all the way to the top of the page. The page position then goes back to where it was before. This makes for a very jittery, unnatural prototype experience. Is there a way around this? I’ve linked an example of my project here – the issues at the bottom of the screens with chevron icons expand and contract to show or hide information. Figma – 6 Oct 24

Hi, I created icon size variables in my design library file and applied it to my icons but when I try to change icon sizes in other files, the other variable sizes aren’t appearing for me to select (even though when I published, I untick the box that says “Hide from publishing”). Not sure what I am doing incorrectly? Thank you for any help!
