I have a small 5 UI design that worked great on iPad. I went away for a 4 day trip and now it will not load on ipad. I made no changes in that time except to invite my team, and there was one comment and response. Prototype works fine on macbook browser and app. Prototype will load on iPad app and browser for less than 1 second (i can see the UI) and then it goes blank with no options for me to take except to exit. I have delete ALL non essential frames and content (which was not ideal). the design is very small so “reducing size” is not an option (btw, I am working on an ipad PRO M4 - so more powerful than most computers). this IPAD is the product demo platform so it not working, it a big problem. Any aid would be great.

Hi! I’m using Figma’s Slide Deck feature but can’t seem to find a way to create or apply grids like in regular frames. Is there any workaround to add guides or grids to help with alignment in slides? Thanks! (●’◡’●)

Hey everyone, I’m planning to move some projects from one workspace to another in Figma and have a few questions about what changes or remains intact during this transition: Will shared links to files remain accessible, or will they change after the move? Will libraries stay connected to the files in the new workspace, or do I need to relink them? Will the current access settings for people (to files, folders, and teams) be retained, or will I need to reassign permissions? Thanks in advance for any insights!

I am trying to create an interaction where changes photos but the change to selection is disabled. I have made them all a component so unsure why it doesnt work. Does anyone know how to fix this or what step I have missed?

I am trying to use the activity log API and I authenticated myself with OATH with the proper scope, but I am getting this error on the API response. “This endpoint is not enabled for the org.” I looked through all of the org settings and haven’t seen where this can be enabled or disabled. Any idea?

Hello everyone, I added the remove background plugin on one of my team projects and I tried to use it multiple times but it did not work. Either it did nothing, either it impacted my images without even removing the background. Attached are two screenshots of how it looked like before and after using the plugin. Do you have any idea of how I can make it work please ? Thanks ! Zacharie

Any ideas why certain components are not publishing. Seems to be happening to several components and I cant spot a pattern. Seems temperamental, but possible I’m missing something. In the video, you’ll see me publish a component only to find it’s still listed as updated afterwards. Help much appreciated.

I’m having trouble seeing the merged versions on the compare changes screen in dev mode. When I merge something into the main branch, and I want to compare them in dev mode, so that the developer can see what has changed, I can’t display them. Is this a problem or am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone, This is for anyone who wants a custom macro with Logitech G Hub but your profile switch doesn’t work for some reason. Find the location of your Figma.exe file by searching “Figma” in your start bar. Right click and then click open file location This will lead to a folder with Figma file and right click again and click “Properties” Go under Shortcut and find the Target property. Copy and paste this text but remove the last Figma.exe Ex. Mine was C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\Figma\app-124.5.5\Figma.exe so I deleted Figma.exe Launch Logitech G Hub and click MANAGE PROFILES Click ADD GAMES OR APPLICATION and paste the file path from Step 3. Click on the Figma.exe lo When I tried this few months back, Logitech G Hub couldn’t recognize Figma even though I added the .exe file. It turns out, the file under \AppData\Local\Figma\Figma.exe doesn’t work. You have to add the Figma.exe inside a folder called app-124.X.X. Now Logitech G Hub will properly recognize

Hello everyone, Our company is facing a challenge regarding management of permissions when all the editors on a file are absent. I am wondering if there is a way for organization admins to access files in such cases and manage permissions on them. Example: A file has an owner, another editor and a couple of viewers. Both editors are absent, but we urgently need to keep working on that file. Is there a way for the organization admins to give edit rights to other people? thanks in advance!

Anyone know if it’s possible to retrieve links to all interactive mockups for a given team? I’ve been able to retrieve links for the design files themselves, but not the interactive shareable links. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A common user journey displays the different states of a form in a modal as the user completes the form. Given this journey is completed on one screen, but it contains one frame per step of the user journey as the user fills in the fields which cause the next field to become enabled, the exact same background is displayed under the modal per frame. The back button on my protype is unresponsive. And I’m unable to find the on click option for few of buttons which makes pretty difficult for the interactivity.

I was prompted to update Figma, and I did so. After I updated the program I went into the Figma file that I’ve been working in for the past month. As I’m in the file I don’t see any of my comments loaded. I went to “show version history” to see if I could retrieve any of the comments and the history panel isn’t showing any previous versions before I updated Figma at 10am. The file looks exactly the same but I can’t seem to load any comments from a previous version. Is there a way to retrieve older comments?

I’m designing a category selector for filtering. Had some success: when the top level buttons are clicked, the filter panel appears and label updates accordingly. The string and boolean variables are working. When the filter panel is cleared (variable applied to the clear button, “x”), the button should reset to it’s default state, but it doesn’t. I think I have the components set up correctly: a button component for the button itself, then a selector component with the variables applied to them. “Trees” should reset to it’s default state. I’ve tried applying conditionals but that didn’t work. Please help! I’ve lost a lot of time trying to solve this and at my wit’s end. As a new user, I can’t upload a video but here’s a link to the test file.

Hi, I’ve ran into an issue where i have a button with 3 states: idle, hover, active. If i link my component variants to use active state either on mouse down/up or on click it causes issues with triggering overlay. This feels very odd and took me ages to pin down why i couldn’t trigger my modals. Here is prototype in action.Figma – 6 Nov 24 Is this intended behaviour and i am badly missing something?

I created this forum with my organization’s email id but if I ever change the organization I am worried that I may lose my profile and community that I have built with this account. So wouldn’t it be better that forum can be separated from product and the email id can be changed without submitting any tickets? Or Is there a way to transfer ownership of a forum account to another email like we transfer file ownership?

Hi ! I would like to be able to detect wether a fill of type image contains transparency or not. I’m developping a code exporter and there are multiple reason why this information would be useful, for example : knowing wether its more relevant to export as PNG or JPG (without having to ask the user) knowing wether a shadow effect applied to that image should rather be handled in CSS (in the case of a jpg without transparency) or should be integrated in the export (in the case of a png with transparency) please let me know if there’s any way to know this, (even a work-around) Best regards.
