Hi good afternoon, my name is Kiara and I am trying to finish a Capstone 2 at the University of South Florida UXUI BootCamp. I am reaching out because I am having trouble finding a Subscription Dashboard Scenario in Figma Freebies. Do you have a suggestion on where I can find a UI KIT that matches directly with my product. What platform do you recommend, or how to best search for that type of UI KITS? Thank you for your time, and help.

I created a standard dropdown component, with two states open and close. I changed the texts and style in a local instance. When I viewed it in preview/present mode, it is not updated, I am not sure if it is the way I made the component not proper or it is a bug.

I’m wondering if there is a way to restrict instance swap properties to only components on the same page as the master component. I’ve built a set of icons for a specific purpose which all live on my UI-Icons page. I’ve then created a master icon component that holds an instance of one of the icons and have assigned it “instance swap properties” to be able to swap the contents for any icon on the page, which is great… However, this method seems to allow any component in the entire library to be called into this master icon component, not just icons on the UI-Icons page, which I don’t want collaborators to be able to do – I want this master icon component to only be capable of swapping icons from this set. I know I could get this result by compiling all the icons into a Component Set, but I’d really rather use the instance swap method. So I’m wondering – Is there a way to restrict the swap capability to just the UI-Icons page or even only select components defined by me?

While i was doing halfway, i try to view it on my present mode and realised some of my slide is missing after i connect all my prototypes button. What is the reason that my slide is missing and the present mode is showing black screen? Figma – 1 Oct 24

I am unable to access my Figma account that I made with my school’s email address ever since I graduated. I have a couple of assets and files in there that are important for my research. I was able to retrieve my Canva and Biorender accounts and switch the email to my current email address, so I don’t see why I can’t with Figma. Thank you!

Hi! I need to upgrade user to Professional license, so I have updated my team member from view → Full (paid license). I can see in the billing overall seat list that one user has been added to list. But user is still telling that account is non paid. What could be the issue? Best regards, Martin

I am confused… drag and dropping files with names like image-01-01.jpg, image-01-02.jpg, etc. And Figma just tries to rename them as I add e.g. image-02-01.jpg, and mixes everything so that no number is omitted or something like that. I have .eg. zo1-01.jpg, zo2-01.jpg, etc… and there are like 4 collections like that but as I put those into a file, the naming gets distorted. What is this idiocy? Has anyone seen this behavior?

Hi, I came accros this Figma video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCJsRuH7v9w and it shows the DevMode focus view, is it something yet to come or is it available ? We’re running a pro plan with 2 full design seats, so I expected to find it, but I only see the old “Ready for dev” Am I missing something ? Thanks

The plus icon(or the post creation button as I like to call it.) has fixed slected in prototyping but it still scrolling when I scroll the background page, can someone help me fix it plz?

I want to create a 3D effect with a vector such that in this design, The rightmost point of the vector comes above the container like this I copied the vector and deleted the previous points but this does not make the gradient of the vectors “connect”

I’m running into some trouble and wondering if it’s fixable. I’ve spent a lot of time comparing JPEG exports from Figma vs. other design software. I’m seeing a compression happening that’s very noticeable in JPEGs with no compression. Exporting a frame as JPEG with Figma default options @1 results in a lower quality. I attach 2 screenshots. One from Figma JPEG, no compression, and another one from Photoshop, no compression. Figma export JPEG no compression dimensions 1080 x 1350: The Figma JPEG contains more data, and is a heavier file. But it still results in lower quality render that’s noticeable in the highlights and sharpness. This is particularly bad when uploading to any social media / ad platforms where the point of focus of the creative is a photograph.

I have a team that uses Figma and FigJam. But, its block because needs to paid plan. I need to knw if I buy a professional plan how many people in that file can edit? dose they need paid plan for themselves or they can be free and editing?

Hello Figma Community and Figma Support team, My teammate and I accidentally both signed up for separate Professional plans. We intended to share a team, as I thought having two Professional plans would allow us to collaborate without incurring additional fees for extra design seats. However, I recently received a notification regarding the fee for an additional design seat. I would like to know how we can combine our two accounts into one team to avoid these additional costs. Any advice or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi I want to see the changes made by someone, just the changes. Right now when I click that change in the history panel, I see everything and it’s really hard and impossible sometimes to track the changes.

I used the FigJam whiteboard option and shared it onto my students Google classroom. When you click on the link to access it, it just says file not found… I was hoping to use FigJam instead of Jamboard…

After removing styles that contained a variable, the removed style is still visible in Selection colors. Also component library reports 0 changes after Styles were removed. What do I need to do to actually remove the remaining hidden styles so that only the variables are in Selection colors (without reapplying them all by hand)?

Hi, All my files have disappeared from my account since Figma started making changes. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I recover them?

I don’t know what I did but since last week I’m unable to resize anything by click-and-dragging my mouse over a resize field… Did I disabled something? How do I activate it back? I’m very used to it and miss dearly.

Hi, I have noticed a bug in the latest release of Figma, where i don’t seem to be able to create text styles. I have to click the + icon in the create text styles UI repeatedly, and eventually the UI does appear but it seems to be a bug, as it happens intermitently. Anyone having a similar issue? I did find some post about this but they were from a year ago. I am running the latest version of Figma and using the desktop app. Any tips appreciated. Thanks Andy

Hello, I would like to inquire if there is a global setting that allows me to permanently set the stacking order to “first on the top.” It is quite frustrating that the current default is “last on the top.” This inconsistency is visually confusing, especially when the layers in the left pages panel appear at the top but are actually placed at the bottom.
