Hey, After the new update i don’t have the fill container function in Frame.

Hi there I’m trying to bring up an overlay over a screen - a larger preview of an item clicked on - and I’d like to bounce that item in from the centre. Can I do that with an overlay? I can’t see an option other than to slide in from one side? I’ve done a really quick horrible example of the kind of thing I mean (this isn’t the real file 😉 )

Hey, I’ve seen this recent update from Figma and it seems you can only assign text property to the text layer itself, vs passing it down to the nested components. I want to pass a component property straight to a nested component property of the same type. The most important things in this regard for me would be: Passing the text property from the parent component to the child component Passing the instance swap property from the parent component to the child component For example, I have a text field with a typography component, called ‘Label’, nested inside this text field component. This Label component has a property called ‘Text’. I’d like to surface its value for the parent component or create a ‘Label’ text property on the parent component and pass its value to the Label component’s Text property Right now, I’m relying on exposing nested instance properties to the parent, but this creates a lot of garbage on the right panel, especially if the text field from the example is us

Hi, having a real headache understand something in Figma. How can I make something always appear on top of EVERYTHING. For example I have a page layout with header / content / footer. In the head I have an icon component, when clicked bring down a drop down menu, but that menu is hidden and doesn’t show. How can I make this element always appear above the rest? Thanks.

Hi there, I’m currently trying to create a window for adjusting some settings and would like to make one of my toggle switches act as sort of a “Master Switch” - as in when this switch is “off”, all the other switches on the screen are either greyed out or also turned to their “off” positions. I’ve tried to use the if/else and change variable bits in the interactions menu but can’t seem to figure it out! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! (trying to make the “all notifications” slider able to control all the other sliders)

But our actual user is just 9 members. And here is my question Is it going to pay just for 9 members who has a ‘Can edit’ Team permissions? Or whole 32 seats that I made by a mistake? Hello I am struggling a little bit with understanding to payments for editor roles in organization plan. Checkout screen declares that I have 3 editor seats included in my team. Now my team contains just my seat. Does that mean that I can anytime after purchase add 2 more editors without being charged? Simply: I pay for 3 editors by purchasing organization license and it does not matter if i am actually alone in my team. Other 2 seats are ready to use without charge. If i had 3 people, i will be charged just for one. Thanks, Josef.

I’ve been diligently troubleshooting for two days now, but I’m still encountering an error with my Figma file. Despite following the documentation carefully, I can’t resolve the issue.

Here I mistakenly added a few annual seats, but I actually only need 12 annual seats. Later on, I received the payment bill, but I couldn’t find the operation entrance to remove those seats that are not applicable. Don’t tell me anymore to solve the issue by changing permissions in the member list, it’s useless, as the additional annual seats are not being used by any members at all.

I’m creating a page with a shopping cart icon at the top, which starts out empty. I would like the shopping cart icon at the top of the page to change to another variant (shopping cart icon with object inside) when I click on a product and add it to the cart. I tried using a boolean variable that checks if items have been added to the cart and if “true” the icon variant would change, but it didn’t work. When items are added, the page doesn’t reload. Apparently the after delay only works after the page reloads. I had an idea of ​​creating a kind of listener that would constantly check the value of the variable and change the icon variant, but I couldn’t find a way to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions? pdf file exported in Figma shows up as corrupt in coreldraw. I can open the file in adobe acrobat but when importing the file into coreldraw for printing it shows up as corrupted

when i try to export Figma components by Qt bridge it doesn’t work , the file.qtbridge I get don’t fit in QT DS it says that the form is not correct , can you please help me if you know how to solve the problem ?

Figma UI suggests that CMD + L copies a link to frame: However, when I use the shortcut, I always get a link to the page, not the selected frame. Using the context menu, however, produces the desired result (copy to a selected frame). Is this a bug?

Hello there! I’m seeing an odd rendering of an outline from a document that’s been imported with an .svg code. The same code looks good in the browser and in Sketch, but I can only get it to work if I change the vectors of the arrows. Do you guys have an idea of what the issue is? I was hoping to create a container grid which I can implement in my app. The grid layout I’m trying to replicate is originally created in Excel and isn’t rectangular This is partly what I’m after: In my test Figma test environment I started out with creating a header with some cell rows. Made that into a frame. Made a copy. Then created an “white frame” hoping to replicate the height difference between the column headers as shown in my uploaded picture. But I can’t for the life of me get the second column-element placed on the right hand side of the “white frame”, and hence creating that height difference. Am I approaching my end result all wrong or what button/setting am I missing to stop the frame from left-aligning like that? Figma – 19 Nov 24

Hi team, I’m really hoping someone can help me, I’ve started to use Figma and when I first started I was able to copy and paste vector graphics from illustrator to Figma without any issues, now all of a sudden the vectors are coming in all broken. See first image below They still remain as vectors but there are bits missing and lines going everywhere, I have tried all the normal paste properties and clipboard handling settings in both Figma and illustrator. I have tried updating all versions of software as well as reinstalling applications and nothing seems to work. I’ve also tried to save as an SVG and sometimes this work and sometimes it doesn’t with the outlines not being clean (see second image) I’m hoping someone on this forum has had a similar issue and has a fix or work around. Please help this is driving me nuts and is really effecting the way I work, thanks

Is it possible to create a multi-level tab navigation in Figma? Let’s say the top level will have 4 tabs and each tab will have 4 or 5 sub tabs that will display the contents.

I’ve been testing Figma slides for a few days and have encountered a few bugs and issues: When I switch to design mode on my 14-inch MacBook, I cannot see my layers in the sidebar. They only appear when I move the window to my larger second monitor. When presenting, the presentation opens in a new file. To maximize the presentation view and hide everything else, I have to minimize and then maximize the window again. The maximize button on the top right doesn’t work immediately. While animating a video, the arrow keys don’t advance to the next slide unless I click very quickly, which isn’t ideal. I have to use my mouse to go to the next slide. This becomes problematic in full-screen video mode because clicking on the video pauses it, preventing me from navigating to the next slide. The table function is great, but I can’t change the corner radius, which is inconvenient when trying to fit the design to a specific brand style. Anyone who might have solutions to these issues?
