This seems so basic, but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’m using the free plan for a personal project – I created the one team allowed, added three associated files, and invited my collaborators to join it as editors. I expected once they did so, they would all have (inherited) permissions to edit all three included files, as described in the documentation. Instead I still needed to grant them individual edit access to each of the files. See attached screenshots, 6 people “can edit” the project, but within any given file, only I get permission to do so based on my membership in the team.

Hi Figma Community, Upon looking at the usage data of our components within the Figma library analytics, I’ve noticed some discrepancies when delving into deeper levels of analysis. Below, I’ve included a screenshot depicting these discrepancies at the instance level. You can observe that the total count displayed at the top doesn’t align with the sum of individual values. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tarun.

The component centering and alignment tool is broken. Please pay attention to the recent update. Since I have a new interface, a number of functions have broken, one of them being the alignment and centering inside the component

I need to create a prototype for user testing. I have the following user flow The user registers and navigates to the dashboard, which has a disabled state. after some time passes (it can take up to a month) the user receives an e-mail, that says that their registration was confirmed now the user can navigate to the dashboard which is not disabled anymore. I was thinking about adding some auxiliary buttons that are not part of the initial UI and will trigger this time pass. Something like “click here to imitate a time pass” But I failed to find any examples of someone doing it. Is it a good idea to add non-UI triggers to the prototype? Could it temper with the user testing? Is there another way to test this flow?

Hello, I have a problem that I didn’t have before… I’ve created a simple rectangle component with text inside. I’ve created 2 instances, and I’ve modified the text of one of the two instances. The problem is that in preview mode, the hover of this instance keeps the text of the main component! I didn’t have this problem before. Can someone please explain what’s changed and what the solution is? Thanks in advance

Is there a plugin or a function in Figma that can show when a frame was create? ** scenario ** I have a a file with over 20 designs - each design is created in its own frame I have 2 pages “current design” and “Archive” In the Archive I have the 19 designs that where not approved but the client has changed his mind and what’s the design we spoke about on the 19th of may I have no idea which frame was created on that date. Is there any way to create this with out manually have to add a text field with the date and time above each design or in the frame layer ? Thanks

I really can’t scroll any further down while in presentation mode, but I put all elements in an auto layout Frame and I have a horizontal padding of 50. But I don’t have any space in presentation mode underneath the last element although I have a padding underneath it. I am also in responsive mode while presentation. By mistake on 19 Nov 20204 1:00 PM my team got Deleted while I was managing files. So went to see on Google to see how I can recover where I found that confirmation mail will be delivered where within 28days you can recover your account but issue is that I didn’t receive any confirmation mail from Figma.

I have a question about the text variable feature. I am creating a soundtrack page where the color changes to a light red when hovering, and to a darker red when clicked. I used the “click → change to” component for this. However, I want to use the text variable feature to change the title of the currently playing music when a track is clicked. But when I try to add a variable to the “click → change” action in the prototype animation, either the “change to” function doesn’t work, or the variable feature doesn’t work. Is it possible to implement both at the same time?

Objective: I want to link the options of the dropdown list to the display below it. i.e. when I select game 1, the view of game 1 will appear below. now I have the interactions defined on the dropdown list - set variable and change state, but none of them works when running. Before I added set variable interaction, the dropdown worked, it just didn’t change the view below. if someone could point out what I’ve done wrong. many thanks Figma – 21 Nov 24

TL;DR: Can I realise in Figma that, upon clicking radio button (changing component state) to change the ‘Navigate to’ screen on a button, i.e. by changing the button or it’s state, to let the prototype go to a different screen (i.e. continual prototyping logic)? I’m working on a project where I’m digitising paper documents to an online platform. It’s basically creating a GoogleForms/Typeform questionnaire (quite large, 150+ fields), with an administration dashboard around it to review data. My issue herein is creating conditional prototyping flows. I would like to realise something in Figma that allows me to skip certain screens depending on component states (i.e. radio button states (yes/no or possibly checkboxes). Option 1: Duplicating screens with changing Continue buttons If I want to realise that, if ‘question 1 = A, then continue to screen 2, else skip and continue with 3’, then I see no other way than to duplicate screen 3. This way I can do 1-2-3-X or 1-3-X. And with each addi

So I have been trying for a few weeks now to build out a conditional based component for a simple tabbed content. Or as a single select option from an option of choices. Sadly, to date, the only way to make this is to have many variants that you then prototype between rather than relying on something more logical like conditionals. For example: If a user selects an inactive tab then change its state from inactive to active, and turn every other option to inactive regardless of its current state

I encountered a strange bug while testing the DM Sans font in the Figma app on macOS. The letter spacing changes as you type or when a new letter is added to a specific word. I have been using locofy to export the React code via DevMode, but for a few days it does not seem to load any Code. If i look at the network tab in the Chrome dev tools it doesn’t even send a request or anything.

Despite solving most things, Figma still hasn’t properly addressed the “bring to front” and “send to back” features in 6 years. When I use “bring to front,” it pushes the element all the way to the bottom. Do I have to use “absolute” positioning just to move something forward or backward? Here’s my setup: Frame (auto layout) [ → Text → Text → Frame (list title bar -scroll on screenshot-) → List elements (10 frames stacked vertically) ] I want to make the list title bar sticky, but when I do, it overlaps the 10 list elements below. When I use “bring to front,” the list title bar gets pushed to the back. My goal is to prevent the 10 list elements from overlapping the list title bar. How can I achieve this?

Hi there, We have been using REST API to build our package Unity Figma Importer. For a while we didn’t encounter an issue when importing to Unity but now we see that the REST API no longer returns children of hidden instances. This is a show-stopper bug for our package. Please explain which change to the API causes this problem so that we can fix our package. Please update the changelog accordingly. We had a similar issue before because the changelog was not updated.

The assets on my design file are still there but invisible? They aren’t hidden and I put them onto their own frame to be able to see them in hierarchy but still not visible. When highlighted you can see the skeleton to see they’re all there, just not visible. Anyone know how to fix?

Does anyone know how to use either Google Sheet Sync or any other data syncing plugin/tool to map data from an external data source to different variants within a component? I’m trying to build an interactive component that will display different values. Rather than update the values manually, I would love to sync data directly to the different variants and then use instances of them in my design. For Google Sheet Sync, it appears to only sync with component instances and not the variants within a component.

Over the past couple of weeks, i’ve noticed that many of my previously assigned text styles are detaching on their own, even those that were applied a long time ago. They detach in copies, in source file everything is fine. Does anybody know what could trigger this?

I want to get some efficient solutions. so anyone who have similar experiences before, please share them! I’ve involved one of project that migrate PSD,PNG files into in the Figma. So I uploaded tons of png resources into Figma. there were 2 themes but now i have to add another theme. I was planning to copy and paste original theme and replace new theme resources to the original one. but i already mentioned, there are tons of resources plus deadline is really tight. so is there anyone who know how to solve this kind of problems or any proper plugin in this situation? additionally, plugins for replacing function generally usually work for replace about font color, stroke, gradients effect etc. What i need function is replacing PNG.

This is still an issue in 2024. When will this be fixed? It’s absolutely crippling trying to get around a document. On a Mac with the Desktop app [Command + Space + Click] (with Spotlight shortcut disabled) it switches to the Zoom cursor for half a second then immediately back to an arrow cursor.
