Hi, I have 5 of the same component stacked inside an auto layout, which works fine. However, when I replace one of these components with one of its instances which is taller, the auto layout does not grow/expand to make room for the instance in the stack. Instead, the content of the instance ends up being overwritten by the component below it. I have searched for a solution to what must be a common issue but have come up empty handed. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Thank you.

Hey community! Does anyone have experience or tips on how to efficiently post Figma designs directly to social platforms? I find the process a bit cumbersome. Would love to know if there’s a faster solution or any plugin that eases the process.

I think I searched as well as I can but I am not sure what the name of the tooling needed is… I want my Red dash stroke to follow the Orange dash stroke so that the red rectangle follows the number dash stroke tooltip (hugs inside). The inverse of what is happening in the green tooltip above with the large rectangle surrounding the number tooltip (hugs outside).

Hello community,I was today starting with Figma and when I launched my very first “New design file” the tool offered to my a kind of interactive template in which I could choose to work on an app for different purposes (finance, travel, social and so on). I could mouseover on topic and then see a first design below.Then I hit F and the the frame menu opened on the right and the interactive thing was gone. Does anyone know how to get back this interactive template which was maybe part of the quick start tutorial?Funnily I created a second account to get it back and it did not re-appear in the second account 🙈Thanks for any hint. Cheers, Andreas

Hi all, I’m trying to have a multi-action within my prototype where once someone selects an option within my dropdown, (setup as “saved reports=Expanded” - and is the 2nd of 3 variants) two things happen: Change to (From “Saved reports=Expanded” → “Saved reports=Selected”) Navigate to (“example-frame-1”) The first action works as expected, but when it comes to the navigating to the new frame, Figma just doesn’t do it. The option to select “Navigate to” is there so I’m assuming this is either a bug, or I need to select something that I’m not seeing. (see attached screenshot of Interactions) Can someone please help? I have a main menu on mobile. It has 4 variants. (menu type: general or admin and state: open or closed)Within the main menu there are several dropdown menus, all their own component with two variants: open or closed.The goal is this: whichever menu variant the user starts from (general or admin) I want the dropdown to 1. navigate them to the correct page, which it doesand 2. close the main menu.. not just ‘change to’ closed which only closes itself.I’ve been trying to create some sort of conditional statement to make this work but I’m having a heck of a time. Anyone know how to do this?I’ll add a visual.  

Hello, Is there a way that I can convert this into a vector but keep the gradient color scheme? This mechanical gear is part of my company logo and I noticed after I converted the PNG into a vector image that it changed all the colors to black.   I would appreciate any help I could get with this.   

I cannot open this menu on the canvas, only when I go to the layer menu. I tried to close and open, restart, reload the tab… nothing.

I have built a drop-down list with variants so that works properly in the prototype. Now, I want to show a different frame depending on the selection made from the drop-down, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make that work in the prototype.

I am trying to use Figma as my main software to produce my designs. But my frames are being exported with a bad resolution from Figma. Exporting as PNG and even using 2X is not getting the full resolution as I see on Figma. Anyone with the same issue?

Is there color selector shortcut? Not I or control CI would like to find whole color selector from right side property panel.Whenever I want to select some color to apply, every single clicking the right color icon is annoying. 

Hello 👋 Complete newbie here. I have a wirefame that’s perfect in Preview mode. But when I want to show it in Present mode the frame is at 100% percent zoom?! Hello all. I am having trouble when I resize a vector by changing its width or height in the properties panel and its aspect ratio is locked. I have a vector shape that has a width of 100, and a height of 22.6. When its aspect ratio is locked and I change its either its width or its height in the properties panel to a whole number, it will change the other property to the nearest whole number, rather than to the nearest two decimal places like it used to do with the old constrain proportions button, which either stretches or shrinks the shape in one direction and not the other, changing its proportions. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this that I am not understanding, or a way around it? Or could it be a bug? I’m finding it a little frustrating that the proportions of my shapes are being changed when it didn’t use to do this. Thanks for your help.

I've noticed that some plugins in the Figma Community feature animated icons. I’m trying to do the same, but I keep getting an error indicating that only PNG or JPG uploads are allowed. Does anyone know how to work around this and successfully upload an animated icon?

Hey All! I’m currently cleaning up my design system from unnecessary unused libraries. And Figma shows the amount of used instances/styles/variables, but there’s no way to see in file where they are.Is there an auto way (maybe a plugin?) to find and remove remnants/footprints of styles and instances from detached libraries? Such libraries are marked “Used in this file” Thanks!

Hi :), As text-box-trim/text-box-edge is now available in Safari TP and in development in Chrome, we are trying to evaluate this as a progressive enhancement. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a completely different result with what Figma and a compatible browser renders, considering the same input and settings. We could see that by default Figma uses both for text-box-trim, and cap for text-box-edge, but the end result is radically different: I am unsure if the issue is coming from the browser or Figma, but after opening an issue on Webkit, I was told that it might be Figma not respecting the spec: 261137 – text-box-trim leading radically different results from Figma I am not familiar enough with all the details of the spec so I can’t really say who’s correct or not, but with such a completely different result, this option is not really usable as of today :). Hey, I’m doing some remote testing with my prototypes and recording the results over video calls, but I can’t figure out a way to see where my users are tapping and clicking. You know on testing software you can see little circles appear when users interact with the screen, is there any way of turning that on in Figma prototypes?

I’ve been working on a file for over a month.  It was in my drafts folder and suddenly when I clicked on Figma app today it said something about can’t access so I hit refresh and now the file is completely gone.Giving context - this was my file and was not shared with anyone.  It’s extremely important as it was due literally today and finished working on it last night.Can anyone help?

I built a prototype last week, and now coming back to it with fresh eyes I’ve forgotten everything I did 🤣 woopsy!I made a handful of local variables, and I’m not sure which ones I wound up using and which ones I can safely delete.I found out how to identify variable tokens used in the design, like colors, but I can’t find a similar process for identifying variables used in prototyping.Is there a plugin or maybe a native feature I’m missing?Thanks in advance!
