Hi,I’m using the plugin API to develop a plugin that shows me which nodes are using my local color styles. The getLocalPaintStylesAsync method works to retrieve the styles. Normally, I would use the consumers property in that response to see the consumers; however, that’s been deprecated. When I attempt to use the getStyleConsumersAsync method instead, it never seems to resolve. It either hangs indefinitely or freezes the app. That said, is there any way I could retrieve a list of consumers of one style at a time? Or perhaps some other approach that actually works? Thanks in advance! 

Hello, I’m having trouble accessing DEV MODE here. The things is, the Design that I need to select the dev mode is on “View only” for me. I found it odd because I have a professional plan, the professional plan has DESIGN SEAT, which has DEV MODE included. I have FULL design seat, FULL FigJam Seat and I’m ADMIN. Yet, I can’t select the dev mode in this design because it’s on VIEW ONLY when I’m on it. Also, When i pass the dev mode option, it appears the message “This file is being moved, dev mode will be available soon”, which makes no sense, because I can see if someone is moving it as it has “multi” people permission on this design. That’s the odd part. Support asked me to change the project’s permission one by one, and me and the person that needs it, we both have “Can Edit” permission. But nothing, can anyone help with that?

I've been experimenting with different ways to streamline my workflow in Figma, especially for repetitive tasks. I came across use scripts with executors and was wondering if anyone here has tried similar automation techniques? Hello all,I am designing a box and trying to get these triangle shapes to overlay it. Here is how it looks in my viewport, which is what I am trying to get the finished product as. What I am trying to achieve. And here is what I am getting below. The exported result is very faint black triangles on the brown box cover. It seems like it is filling in all the area except the triangles I need. Any ideas? 

I don’t understand how .fig files are saved. I need to save them to my computer so they can be archived on external drives (for client work as part the contract - so having them only on the cloud/Figma is not an option). Why doesn’t this work like other files? And why when I try to open the .fig document on my computer does it not open the file.

Hey everyone,I’ve been using Figma Slides for presentations, but whenever I export them as PDFs, the file size is pretty large. I’m looking for the best way to export a smaller, more compressed PDF without sacrificing too much quality.Does anyone have any tips or workflows for this? So I recently got laid off and the company (they used Google Workspace) terminated my google account ASAP. I don’t have access anymore; I can’t log in. I signed up using that company account so I was wondering if there’s a way to change my email address linked to my account. Right now I’m just copying all the files and sharing them with my personal account. Currently it looks like this (I haven’t logged out yet) Thank you!

When I’m in Outlook on my iPhone, and click a Figma comment link, when I have Chrome as my default browser, at some point I must have clicked “open in browser” when it offered me the choice, because it used to open links directly in the Figma iOS app, but I want these links on my iOS phone to open in the Figma app so I can reply to comments.Now, I can’t undo this setting, and I can’t find this answer anywhere on the web. BUT, when I switch my default browser to Safari (which I never use), it happens to open in Figma app iOS. Which is great… But not when I have Chrome set as my default… which is bad. I’ve tried numerous ways to try to reset it but everything online talks mainly about Desktop and not iOS. 

I want to be able to hover over/off a circle and only make the same coloured box change (not all other colours).I am changing variable modes to make the boxes bigger/smaller but every hover/off changes all boxes not just the colour of the circle I hovered over.Is there a way to say “if I hover over the blue circle, only the blue box gets bigger… and if I mouseOff the blue circle, only the blue box gets smaller.”FEEL free to play with the file attached.Thank you in advance. 

Every time I get a notification in Outlook from Figma, if I click the link it takes me to the browser instead of the app. Is there a way to force send me to the app? TIA!

Hello, I’m having difficulties in finishing a prototype. My prototype consist of a frame with two components that have seperate flows. I would like it to be so that when one flow ends the user is able to click a button (or something else if that helps) in the final variant of the first component and then it scrolls down to the next component.This is on the same frame imitating a webpage that has two onboarding guides where the first is and introduction and the ladder is resolving the introduction. The component flows are controlled by the two main components and their variants. I’m not entirely sure if this is the most appropriate way to do it and if you have any ideas or tips that could help me resolve this please let me know. The issue if that i’m unable to create the final interaction that makes component 1 scroll to component 2 in the prototype frame. Do i have to combine the components or will i have to make it completely from scratch?? Please also let me know if you need any addi

So, I created a nav bar in my website design in Figma, as a nav bar is a common component. It is included on every page, and each page have two identical copies with one containing transparent nav bar and other containing solid nav bar both copies are connected with each other with mouse enter and leave interaction and now I connected every page login button from nav bar including their copies to log in form overlay menu which on clicking open login menu and as u fill login menu from start with filling no. then filling otp and submitting otp now what I want is that after clicking submitting button in otp filling state it should change the nav bar to log out nav bar

I just bought Pro access to be able to use videos. But it plays only in the editor mode. How to show it to the audience (online or by file sharing)?

Currently, if we comment on an artboard and move it around the same page the comment bubble usually stays with that artboard wherever it goes. But when an artboard is cut/pasted to another page within the Figma file the comments do move with the artboard. This becomes a problem if I want to move my older designs into the archive page along with the comments for auditing. Any help?

Hi everyone.Our team and I have been using figma for a while. One of our front-end developers recently told me that the line height in Figma, which used to be displayed in pixels (px), suddenly started showing in percentage (%) about a month ago.In my case, I’ve always set percentage for text styles, so me and others haven’t experienced any issues. However, for him, it was always in px before, and now it seems to have changed automatically without any manual adjustments. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Greetings,I have been having issues with a low-fi prototype I am designing in Figma. I am new to Figma, so I tried looking up answers on Youtube, using AI chats like Perplexity and ChatGPT, and looking through the conversations here. I find that none of these has revealed the answer.I have a back button on all of my screens, but it does not go back. I have the trigger set to “On Tap” and the action is “Back”. When I try to do it the longer way, I go to “Navigate To” under actions, but “Previous Page” is not listed as an option for a page to navigate to, though all my pages are there. I chose to “Navigate To” and then a specific page, but the button still does not work. I can only move forward through the flow, and never back. How do I fix this?

My team is working on a project brief template that would include links to design figma/figjam files, and I’m experiencing some issues with links to pages/frames in current design don’t translate properly when used as an instance in our catalog figma file.We use the template in the individual design file, which would include the link to this specific design file because we want to share this in different places, then create a component out of it so we only need to update in one place.While in the individual design file, the links usually say something like “Go To blablabla” instead of “Open blabla” if we were linking to a different file.However, we ran into issues when we publish the component and insert the instance to our master catalog file, then all the links to pages/frames in this specific design files all became either not working or says “Frame in this file”, or it would point to the corresponding page in the catalog file. Hello!I’m building a video player prototype using Figma’s video import feature. I’ve created a play/pause button that starts and stops the video as expected. I also added a time display that updates as the video plays — it's a component set with variants like 00:01, 00:02, etc., using "After Delay → Change To" to simulate the progression.Where I’m stuck is getting the time display to start and stop in sync with the play/pause button. Right now, the timer keeps running even when the video is paused.Any ideas or tips on how to link the timer to the play/pause action would be greatly appreciated!Thanks so much!

I have large and complicated project with lots of screens for desktop size. What would be the best way to show design in mobile screens? I did not create responsive from the start because it was not requested, but now some screens should be shown for mobile screens. Please share your opinions...

There is a major mask cropping / scrolling problem - it affects every frame with an object that goes outside the bounds on the frame. It breaks every prototype. It cannot be fixed with a mask or with anything. Please see this video: The red area should not be visible as it is outside of the art board bounds and yet when wanting to scroll a prototype page vertically it breaks because it does not crop the content correctly. There should be no way to see the red element when in prototype mode - this is a bug and needs fixing.If someone thinks this is intended behaviour, they are wrong because most designers will want to have objects that run off the canvas or that are clipped. The main issue is that you would expect to use a mask to achieve this crop without additional scroll but Figma calculates the object measurements from the image within the mask not by the mask bounds, so therefore we all have a major problem with clipping, prototype and masking.

Hello, I am trying to figure out how I need to configure SCIM Provisioning in Microsoft Entra in case the user principal name (upn) is not the same as the “mail” attribute. Our company has multiple top-level domains. In this case the global domain, used as user principal name is always example**.com**. The user attribute “mail” is based on the top level domain of the user location, like example**.de** or example**.com**. After configuring SCIM provisioning for my users, they are shown in the UI, but after logging in with their mail or upn, the SCIM provisioning state of the user is stuck at “pending scim”. I find the floating bottom toolbar more visually complex and challenging to use compared to the previous top toolbar. Constantly shifting my attention downwards disrupts my workflow and feels inconvenient. It would be helpful if we could either revert to the previous layout or have the option to move the toolbar to the top, bottom, or reposition it freely—similar to Photoshop. This flexibility would allow users to customize the layout to better suit their workflow.
