Hi everyone, I’m working as a Design System Designer in a large organization, and I’m setting up a starter Figma file that Product Designers can duplicate to begin their work immediately, with all the correct libraries already activated (core components, design tokens, etc.). The goal is simple: designers should be able to duplicate this starter file and start working without having to reconfigure or manually activate libraries. I created the starter file in a shared team project and made sure the required libraries were activated. However, when someone duplicates the file (via right-click > Duplicate or Duplicate to Drafts), all the library connections are lost. Designers then have to go to the Assets panel and re-enable the libraries manually, which is exactly what I’m trying to avoid. I also tried:  Placing the starter file in a shared project and giving “Can view” access → duplication still loses the libraries. I have one Figma file that includes multiple projects.Each project has its own set of variables and design tokens.I noticed that even when I use different collections and scopes, the tokens are still visible across the entire file.Is there a way to completely separate or hide variables between projects inside the same file?Or should I create separate files/libraries for each project to manage them cleanly? 

You know this feature to let AI replace the content when duplicating a frame several times? Good stuff! But is there a way to prevent the AI from trying to replace certain text layers?

When I used to copy-paste links to our (publicly available) ticketing system onto the FigJam board, it showed them as cards with headers, so I could easily cluster them on the board and find them via text search.But now it doesn’t seem to work anymore, all links just show up as links.On the screenshot below you see links added previously show up as cards, and newly added links showing up as just links.Did something change in FigJam, or is it somehow related to our ticketing system? 

 I think it’s from somewhere of view settings of Figma since these purple rectangles didn't show up when i firstly made the whole design. it’s can’t be moved by hands either… and only this file has this issue

Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue in the Figma desktop app where the fill color is not applying to shapes when they are placed inside a frame. I’ve tried selecting multiple colors and different shapes, but the fill just doesn’t show up within the frame.When I draw the same shape outside the frame, the color applies correctly. But as soon as I move it inside a frame, the color disappears or won’t apply at all.Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might be missing in the frame or something else that could be causing this?Appreciate any help—thanks in advance!

I just wanna ask if where can I access the variable. It says here Draw but I never converted my files to FigJam it just automatically turned like this.

Hey all! Super new here. I have seen others in my industry use Figma to create table layouts for restaurants. I am leafing through videos and documents but still haven't been able to land on my answer. I would love to either build tables or use some open source icons to build a table layout. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could go to find these tables that can be modified and resized or perhaps it would be better to create my own. Just need some foundational ideas and I can run with the rest. Thanks in advance.

Hello,It’s been a while since I’ve had to build a component, so please forgive me if its a daft question.When creating variants, in a the properties panel of aninstance you can flip between variants/boolean.However, using variables, that doesn’t seem possible.I’m creating a dropdown menu, and trying to expose all the properties for easy editing.I don’t see a way to include the variable setting.Suggestions? 

Hello! Wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction. I’ve been using Google Sheets Sync in figma for over a year now, suddenly is stopped working and is giving me the message “There was an error fetching. Try again later” I didn’t change anything since the last time I used it, i’ve tried restricting the google sheet and re-opening it up.  I use this to create labels for my orders and it’s extremely helpful. Thank you.

Hello,a small bug appeared with the last update.I am on desktop app.It triggers when I order my components via the flow tool:- during a vertical flow, it orders my components horizontally- during a horizontal flow, it orders my components vertically.don’t know if I am the only one with this bug…In the hope that this can be resolved with the next update.Thank

I understand how the Embed Kit allows us to embed a Figma Prototype within a webpage rendered inside a standard browser. The authentication is handled via Cookies within this browser (as far as my understanding goes).I would like to embed Figma Prototypes that are not necessarily public in my mobile app using e.g. a WebView. In this case, I can not access the cookies from the standard browser. Is there a way (ideally similar to the REST API OAuth flow) to obtain a Figma session within my WebView so users can view their prototypes there? Are there other (secure) workarounds to allow my users to view their (nonpublic) prototypes within my WebView?

Hi all, I’ve been trying to create a responsive line chart for our design system. I’ve created one that allows the designer to edit the line graph without having to detach the instance. Only issue is that the segments of the line disconnects when I stretch the graph vertically. I use paddings to adjust the size of the line segments and I’m thinking the segments disconnects because padding doesn’t use a relative value. I’m looking for ideas to make this component work responsively while still maintaining the ability to adjust the line graph from instance to instance so that the graph can look realistic for the specific mockup it is used in. Any ideas?Here’s a test file for the component:  

I’m trying to help my wife automate some of her marketing work. I’ve set up both Figma and Klaviyo to Claude Desktop via MCP. In theory, I think I should be able to create an email design in Figma and then have Claude generate the same email as a template in Klaviyo. I validated this and it does work (kinda), but I’m running into issues. The template created in Klaviyo does not look the same as the design in Figma. I think it’s because the Figma design uses a lot of images and screenshots in place of text like the header and footer. Is there a way for Claude to transfer the images from Figma over to Klaviyo via the MCP?

Hi,how can i add my catalogue pdf to figma sites.. , as you know figma sites connects custom domains via dns servers but there is no ftp access, so where can we load pdf files to show it in our web page ?..

I am trying to access my account to see which plan I have, see billing info, and so forth. I have searched, asked AI, and cannot find how to get to my account. If I go into Settings, under Account, all it says is “Delete account”. No other options. There is no info about which account I have, or how to update billing info, view billing history, nothing. If I try to look around at figma.com, it launches be straight to my dashboard so that I can’t even view anything on figma.com. How do I get to this information (and why is it so hard to find)?

I have a bottom nav that I want to stay sticky at the bottom of the screen. I have content that is longer than the phone itself, and I want it to scroll down just like you would scroll on Facebook, IG, etc. The problem is the bottom nav IS sticky, but it is covering some of the content I want to show. I don’t know why this is happening since I’ve never experienced this before.

I created this modal component that adjusts its height accordingly when an error message appears below a form field. The instance of it, however, doesn’t do that.I’m confused about this behavior. The main component is set to “hug” for height, so I don’t understand why the instance is treating it like its fixed.

We host the web page in figma.site servers , but i want to host my own html files in my server ? how can i get these files..

I haven’t used Figma in a while and now I see everything has changed since I last used it. Where can I find a list of all the shortcuts?
