How can I add a collaborator in the Figma Edu plan?

Is there a way to remove all interactive behaviors from components in the library? I’m working on a prototype and need to avoid giving the impression that anything is clickable. At the moment, the only solution I have is to remove them one by one, which is very time-consuming.

I’m an absolutely new and confused beginner to figma. I’ve joined it just now to learn design. However I’m utterly confused about what to do to learn. Please guide me in this regard.

Using the code below, when I run the swap on a frame with:a fill bound variable – it works fine ✅ a stroke bound variable – it works fine ✅ both a fill bound variable and a stroke bound variable – it doesn’t swap the colours ❌I’ve tried individually removing the portions of the code that tackle the fill and stroke and the same problem occurs. I’m trying to understand the process of sharing a Figma project file with another agency that I’m collaborating with. I’m a sole designer, working on my own professional plan. I don’t want to incur additional editing fees for someone needing to edit or work on my file. So, I want to understand how I can allow someone else the ability to edit or utilize my design without incurring additional costs to me personally. Is there no ability for someone outside of my plan who has a paid subscription of their own the ability to edit or use my project file without adding them to my account? How does someone go about sharing a project file without incurring costs personally?

Hello, Anyone using Magic Mouse while using figma? The scroll is extremely sensitive it captures even the slightest touch when I’m using figma. It certainly doesn’t happen on safari or any other app though. Anyone had this kind of problem or do I have fat fingers 😅

i have been using figma make for my recent project, i have used it around 2 days . but now when i send a prompt it throws an error “ something went wrong try agin after some time” i have tried duplicating the file and waited for more time still the issue persist note: ( i am facing this issue after 2 days of usage it mean i have made around 300 prompts and more)

Hi all! I searched Figma forums all over for an answer but couldn’t find one. The issue I’m having is with icons becoming distorted when using instance swap in a nested component. Here’s the context: I am working on a design system that utilizes 4 different icon sizes that are all square (14x14px, 24x24px, and so on). We are using Font Awesome icons, and the vectors of these icons vary in size, meaning that two icons with the same height may vary in width. My ideal vision is that we make the icon frame sizes components, then place the icons (also components) inside of the square frame and set them to scale. This is so that if we ever decide to do a global icon resize (say we decide 14x14 is to small and want to move to 16x16) that we can do that on the master component level and avoid manually updating all the affected components. I have text styles defined inside a library file. All my components are using these styles. When creating the designs using the components and styles in another file I always make sure to use the text styles and if I paste text I use Shift + Cmd + V to esnure I’m pasting text without any formatting (verry annouing tho). Recently I was just going thorugh already done designs to check something and noticed that all the text layers in some of my pages are with the correct color variable, correct size and etc but they have no text style attached to them. Now I have to go layer by layer, copy the text, click Reset all changes (if it is a component) and paste the text. This is rediculous. So few questions: Is there any way to make the default pasting of text be without any format? Is there any bug that caused this dettachment? Is there any way I can only reset the style of the text layer inside component instance and not the text color and etc?

I worked with Figma AI. Now I need this as image(jpg, PDF, whatever) I don’t see where I can do this from?

I really need help on working around Connected Project not allowing between Org/Pro with same email domain. If someone have experience on solving this it would be a great help. Our project is being delayed and we really need a solution. Four company with same work email domain (because same holding company) All teams have a figma Org/Pro that was made with work email domain.  Our company has Design System Library we use among our internal teams.  We have a mega project, where we need to share this library with other 3 companies. We are attempting to have connected projects for each company, and allow our library usage. Figma won’t allow connected project due to same email domain. (below error) "Connecting team owner's email domain cannot match your organization's email domain"We tried the other company make an ID with gmail domain an admin, and create a team and become an owner of that team. This however did not work. Can anyone suggest a different approach? Or am I not doing this work

  First of all, I'm sorry to ask you a question from a beginner who doesn't even have the basics of coding. For the help of the company, I tried to create files on different MAKE web like the 2 images above. I'm trying to implement the first image by adding another tab to the web of the second image, but I've tried many times to figure out how to apply it in MAKE, but I have no idea. For example,  if I copy the code in the code column next to the preview, paste it into MAKE, and ask you to implement it, the web will be created in a completely wrong format.+addFor further explanation, if you copy the code in full like an image and paste it back in MAKE, it's implemented in a whimsical way like the last image. 12 3 4   We look forward to your grateful response from experts.

I’m trying to: make the screen scrollable vertically; and make the iPhone status bar and “scroll to top” arrow fixed stay in place I’ve managed to make the screen scrollable vertically, however, I’m having a hard time making the iPhone status bar and “scroll to top” arrow to be fixed. The “fixed stay in place” is disabled on my end. Please help me. I’m getting frustrated and can’t wrap my head about this 😦

I’m responsible for migrating a large number of Miro boards to FigJam — it’s a big company with many, many boards :/When exporting large boards with vector content, I run into issues on the Miro side due to their size. But the main reason I’m asking here is that I’m also facing problems in Figma: when importing large files, some content gets clipped and ends up outside the FigJam board, making it impossible to retrieve.Of course, I could divide the exports into smaller sections, but I’m expected to finish this project before next decade :)Is there any tips or recommendations on how to handle this in a more efficient way? Plugins? Thanks a lot!

Hi all. I have a couple of frames that have placed image in. I want to export as .svg format. I can see the image in the preview and on the preview of the .svg. But when I open the .svg in adobe illustrator the image isnt there and just should a blank box… Any ideas? It worked fine in sketch before.

This prevents team members with export permissions from copying design files, protecting intellectual property.

Hi all,Have any of you noticed this?In Figma Make, when stopping an execution and wanting to try something else, it will re-attempt to execute that same prompt that was stopped without being asked to do so and asking it to do something else. Very frustrating as most of the times the stopped execution resulted in an undesired outcome.Thanks

Your Google Fonts in Figma Sites are not up to date. I have some upcoming client work I’m excited to show using Sites’ responsive features but the Google Fonts we’re working with in their brand aren’t showing in Figma, therefore they won’t display in preview. Each board is used by a teacher and one or more students.If we want to use the paid version of Figma (Professional or Organization), do we have to pay for each seat only for our teachers (i.e., our employees) or also for students?

I used to be able to grant view-only permissions on a specific project (folder) to someone who has edit permissions at the team level. Is this no longer possible?I want to grant only 'can view' access to a specific project, but it seems that 'can edit' permission is being automatically assigned. I'm seeing a tooltip that says, 'This person can still edit, because they have edit permission on the team the file is in.
