Some platforms ask for verification mainly to confirm eligibility for special plans. Usually, the free version is available without that step, but sometimes the system shows the same screen for all users. Checking the sign-up options carefully might help.

Hey ​@hunnyb! You don’t need to go through the verification process if you’d prefer to just use the free Starter plan. That option will still give you access to most of the Figma products except Dev Mode, just with some feature limits compared to the Education or Professional plans.
