hi @Celine_Figma , Currently, I create a Figma file that I name ‘Template for New Project,’ for example. Every time I start a new project, I duplicate this Figma file as my starter file. However, since this isn’t a true template file, whenever I make changes to the master file (which I treat as a template), I have to manually update each Figma file that I duplicated from the master.
It would be much more efficient if I could save a file as a template, use it in other projects, and have any changes in the master template file automatically reflected in all files that are based on that template.
Hey @Ds12 , thanks for the details! ! Currently there isn’t a way to add your own private template in Figma Design but I agree that it would be a helpful feature to have.
Others in the community have requested something similar, feel free to upvote the idea there: Custom team templates. Thank you!
