I think it should show up inside the panel as all other props show up embedded. Idk why colour has a different treatment.
Not gonna lie having it popped out is super useful but I think it should be an option not a default action. I also mocked up a screen how it should be
ps; i have noticed the blue bar showing the loc of highlighted item when I was mocking this image - loved the idea and implementation, mwah
