I’ve bought one seat professional subscription because I want to design screens for myself. But I cannot create any component. They ask me to buy another seat. Does anybody know why?

Hey @Roman_Bronowski, sorry for the trouble!

The most common reason we see users unable to access Professional features is that the file they’re working in is not located in the team they upgraded — the team you upgraded is Roman Bronowski’s Team.

If this is the case, you can move files and projects to the team you upgraded to access those features there.

If this isn’t the cause, can you also try the following?

  • logging out and back in
  • clearing your browser/desktop app’s cache

Here’s how to clear the desktop app cache on a Mac:

  1. Quit the Figma desktop app
  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf “$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma/”{Desktop,DesktopProfile}
  3. Try opening the desktop app again

Here’s how to clear the desktop app cache on Windows:

  1. Close the Figma desktop app
  2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this, followed by enter: %APPDATA%\Figma
  3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist
  4. Launch the desktop app again
