"Open link in new Tab" for page navigation in browser

I’m using Figma in Chrome v.105 on MacOS 12.5.1 in view-only mode

I’m having a bit trouble with the page navigation and was wondering if its a bug or expected behavior. (I’ve attached a screenshot of the exact ui elements i’m referring to)

Page Navigation simply does not behave like i’d expect from a web-application:

  • right clicking doesn’t do anything. Same for ctrl / cmd + click. This is extremely frustrating when i want to open some page in a new tab.

- navigating back via browser back exits Figma, instead of going to the previous page

“Open in new tab” currently doesn’t seem to work and is probably not intended yet but I think that’s a good idea.

Navigate back should bring you back to your figma overview page. Probably intended like it is. Personally I’m using the app so I don’t care about that to be honest.

To switch between pages you can use “page up” and “page down” key but you probably already know that.

In “view only” mode, there is no context menu when right-clicking on pages.

Oh yeah you are right. I’m not that familiar with view only mode 😅

And i’m only familiar with view only mode 😅

Even in view+edit mode, a “Open link in new Tab” might be pretty useful?

(If you agree, could you guide me how to request a feature?)
