It would be useful to have an option to specify, at the master component level, whether someone using an instance can detach it from the source. Many times we build a layout or experience for the web and brand teams detach our layout blocks from their component definitions, make changes to resulting layers (to apply or create illustrations etc) and the result is a hot mess with great looking images but little traceability, consistency with the original and therefore, value to developers.
