i noticed that my mouse needs to rest for a second before the auto animation on hover works properly. Check the video for more information.
Do i need to change something in my settings? Is anybody else experiencing this problem? I’m using the desktop app for macOS.
Hey @Benny_Stuhler, the on hover interaction should trigger an instant transition.
As our first troubleshooting step, can we try clearing out your cached files and see if that helps?
You can clear the desktop app cache on a Mac in the Help menu under Troubleshooting.
If you’d prefer to manually clear your cache you can:
- Quit the Figma desktop app
- Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf “$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma”
- Try opening the desktop app again
clearing the cache didn’t help.

Apologies for the delayed response @Benny_Stuhler! I’ve changed the prototype interaction to see if it helps (on click open to “Datei ausblenden hover state” and when mouse leave “Datei ausblenden default open state”). It still shows a delay of 1 sec. I’ve asked now internally to the teams to check if there are any other workarounds. I’ll update you once I have a response!
