Anyone having issues with background blur

Hey,

so i am trying out the UI Glassmorphism style, but I need the function of the background blur to do that. I can change values to the max without changing the blur…

anyone with the same issue?

best

@Paul2 @Mark_Aldrich I had the same issue today, think I might know why it wasn’t working:
I was using a saved color in the “Color Styles” which for some reason doesn’t recognise the effect.

Try setting the color manually for the element, and reducing its opacity slightly, should so the job

worked, thank you!

Hi Yorbi,
Thanks for the clear msg, I faced the same issue, then realized after seeing the screenshot “Pass Through” must be 100%.
I had kept the fill as 100% and reduced in “Pass Through” to 50%.

Thanks again, have a great day.

Thank you! This fixed it for me

Thank you!!

Thank you Michel, problem solved.

you just saved me another I-don’t-know-how-long going crazy thinking either I suck or figma is broken. YAY community!
I Never change the layer style opacity, that I know of. but mine just now was set at 18. I made it 100 and BAM it went from no blur to mega blur.

thank you

this just won’t work for me :sob: i’ve tried adjusting the opacity, layer fill, color…nothin. anyone else still having this issue?

Hi, I need to use Colour style because I have many themes.
@Figma_Support Can you fix this bug please?

Yes, reduce the background blur effect, keep it below 10

I’m usually just changing opacity by pressing the numeric keys that are changing the opacity of the layer and not the fill. Now as I’m changing the fill instead of the layer opacity, the magic started to happen

Thanks!! Seeing the screenshot i realise now that my issue was that i was lowering the layer Pass through instead of the Fill Opacity.

I had the same issue, and realized I applied the Blur to the whole component; once I removed it and applied only to the background shape it finally worked. Thanks for all the tips!

You`re the best! I was on the verge of beating the head against the table. Thank u soooo much!
