  1. I want to make a prototype where something changes when user scrolls content.

  2. I want to keyboard collapse when user starts scrolling content, but it’s impossible to do with drag action. Or it feels unnatural

  3. Or am I missing a way to do it with existing tools?

Highly needed. I am working with Figma for a week and already need raised.

Axure has scroll up, scroll down and scrolled on the Page (==frame) or component.

Really need this feature. Requirement are we need to trigger an animation at a certain viewport position and also need to be able to change variants at a certain viewport position. Recently, stumped the team and had to revert to Protopie for a simple prototype demonstration.

+1 Man, how often do I need this. It must be every second client-project.

+1! Using ‘on mouse enter’ sort of allows you to change views when the user scrolls (tutorial here ), but it’s only for desktop. I’m testing my app prototype on an actual phone using Figma Mirror, meaning there are no mouse events! So I would really love an “on scroll” interaction (or maybe “on leave/enter viewport”) to e.g. hide the navbar when the user scrolls down.

really missing this feature

+1, Really need this feature

+1, you would think with a stream of user requests over 2+ years and 200+ comments this would’ve been addressed… but I guess there must be bigger issues.

I have a list with a searchbox. When i start scrolling i want to put the searchfield sticky and show a devider between the searchbox and the list.

+1 for me than!

This is a basic need in designing - which makes it a much-needed feature.

I’m keen to have this feature, and I believe it will make the prototyping a lot easier for many designers.

+1 still need this feature!

Feature proposal accepted and approved 😁

Two years later, everything has not changed.

What are they doing?

Please add this

+1 still need this feature

Can’t believe I’m back here. Visited and voted on this months ago, got stuck in a similar predicament and returned via google. Dozens of updates made since, some with less votes than this yet absolutely 0 progress made. This also affects the design of scroll bars, alongside prototyping effective navigation aids for users and various parallax scrolling abilities. SMH.

An additional use case is multi-directional swipe. Trying to reproduce a Tinder like swipe card functionality there are 3 directions right/left also up (for Superlikes) currently limited to right/left… with scroll triggers we can add an additional direction

Considering to get back to AXURE because of this major feature missing. Not able to perform proper usability tests because of the no-scroll-trigger issue on Figma. Bunch of time lost searching for workarounds…

So sad… 🙄

hello, do you know from which video you have created the screenshot? Or maybe that was a live event? To this topic I personally find nothing via Google…

+1 That would be so helpful for imitating iOS headers behavior, where the main title re-appears in the header area when the page has been scrolled. Using “mouse-down” or “drag” triggers has been far from ideal for me in this case.

Hey Louis! I captured the screenshot from this year’s Config event of Figma. Una Kravets and Adam Argyle gave a wonderful speech about responsive design and the state of CSS, where they also introduced scroll driven animation in CSS (not in Figma yet) Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APhECDy2U3U&list=PLXDU_eVOJTx61IdqXh3jrvopJN8HGkS5F&index=36&t=12s

First! (Or, 222nd…) Either way, I’m here to +1 this. Would make a ton of prototypes more “real world” feeling.

Just here for keeping the post alive! WE REALLY NEED THIS.

Scroll and make elements appears, sticky on top etc. Please FIGMA team 🙏

Gonna add my two cents here. Scroll events would be really powerful. They are really useful in Webflow, Framer etc so would make my life a lot easier in Figma!

If you need my vote, then be it!
