The presentation view needs to support zoom. Currently it’s impossible to view large frames in presentation view as we’re limited to 3 options: 100% display at full size Fit scale down to fit Scale down or up to fill #1 displays the content too big, and #2 and #3 display the content too small.
In Adobe Photoshop, you can use the transform tool to distort and change the angle of an image. For example, if you need to change the angle of an image within an iPhone device mockup. I wish I was able to do this within Figma the same way I use it in Photoshop.
Right now there is no simple way to have a conversation with an LLM about a set of designs (Page/File/selected amount of artboards) in Figma. Copying/pasting screenshots is not feasible because a screenshot big enough to capture the contents of a page in figma would be way too large to paste into an LLM. Use cases: As a designer, I’m being onboarded onto a complex project and want to get up to speed as quickly as possible. I can chat with an LLM about the PRD, but not about a Figma file. It would be great if an LLM could natively scan page page or entire file and allow me to ask questions about the file without me scanning every single artboard manually to start. I want to get feedback on a user flow/design/set of designs. This would be a big unlock because I think that AI is good at exploring the solution space for a problem when properly described/articulated but it’s a very manual time-consuming process because there is no visual element to it. This could serve as a starting point
Especially with the recent Variables update. It’s more important than ever to have the ability to migrate all the old Styles with new Variables. However, the current behavior is that it only matches whatever “name” is the same. This makes the whole swapping library a very underpowered feature. Ideally, it should simply allow us to pick Variables or Styles to swap with the old library. This has been requested back in 2021.
It should be possible to swap library components manually. In this screenshot, I’m swapping a icon library for another, but the icons are not named the same, so I can’t finish the job. Why can’t I simply select the component I want to replace it with? Even worse, there’s no way to select the components from the old library to swap them them manually one by one. Component instances from my old library are scattered in pages and there’s no efficient way to select instances from a certain library (apart from the swap library modal). I’ve looked at so many plugins and none of them can get it done. It’s such a pain and could be resolved easily. btw - the same applies to “Missing Library.” Because I can’t swap them to an arbitrary library, I’m left with ghost components that I can’t even locate.
I use Grammarly app across a lot of platforms, but it does not work on Figma unfortunately. It would be amazing to be able to run Grammarly on Figma.
The gif below should be self-explanatory about the issue
Currently, the section title is outside the section box only on the highest level. When a section is nested, the title jumps inside the section box and overlaps content unless you expand the section box. The option to choose if the section title is inside or outside the section box would be really useful.
Currently, Figma Code Connect allows mapping design tokens, styles, and components to code, but it does not support connecting variables directly to local image assets. Many projects maintain a set of local assets (e.g., illustrations, icons) in the codebase, often structured as an object for easy access: example asset.ts:import BillsRecharges from "./assets/illustrations/Bills&Recharges.svg";import UnionPay from "./assets/illustrations/UnionPay.svg";export const illustrationIcons = { BillsRecharges, UnionPay,} as const;Developers then use these assets dynamically in code, e.g., illustrationIcons.BillsRecharges.Currently, Code Connect cannot reference these local imports, so teams must manually map Figma components or variants to local assets, which is error-prone and time-consuming. Proposed solution: Allow Code Connect to link a Figma variable or component key to a local import path or predefined asset object.
Hello,Excited to start using Figma Slides as a presentation tool. I’m glad to see some animation features here, but two big ones that seem to be missing are “With Previous” and “After Transition” on object animations. The current options are “On click” and “After Previous,” but I often want a bunch of disparate objects to animate at the same time rather than in sequence. I can get around this by grouping those objects together, but that makes editing and general organization a pain. “With Previous” would solve for this.“After Transition” applies to animations that I want to happen as soon as the new slide loads. Again, I can overcome this by using “On Click” and try to remember to quickly double-click when an affected slide is loaded, but that causes awkward pauses in motion. Thanks for your consideration!
Yellow attention banner - why must the whole organisation see this? Can the message be only shown to admins and not the whole team as we are flooded with emails and chat messages about it plus you can see the email addresses and the names of the responsible persons. We suggest to not annoy the whole team with this.
It would be good to have the Logitech MX Master Series mouse to have functionality with the horizontal scroll wheel when panning through Figma Files.
Hello! 🤠I was very excited to see the addition of Auto Layout Grid today! Having flexibility for both Rows and Columns at the same time is a game changer. That said, I immediately ran into not being able to set a column width to “Hug” within a table, which is a bummer. In the attached video, I want the “Audited By” column to Hug to the longest table cell content. I show both the current solution today, and what I am trying to do with Auto Layout Grid.I can manually adjust the width of the column, I guess, but as you can see, it makes it hard to ensure correct padding without a lot of careful tuning of the width. Anyone have any solutions? Will this be coming as a fast-follow feature? Thank you!
In the design handoff process, we use annotations to communicate changes or emphasize specific specs. However, when the design canvas is large and contains many elements, it's difficult to notice the position or even the existence of annotations. It would be very helpful if, upon clicking the "comment" button, a comment panel appeared on the right side, showing all comments in a list view that can be sorted and filtered. Ideally, clicking on an item in this list would take the user directly to the corresponding location on the canvas.I suggest considering an update that adds a "tab" or similar functionality to the comment panel for better visibility and navigation of annotations.
I would love the ability to go into a mobile view in the Presentation mode inside of Make. As we demo our prototypes to clients, the app is configured for mobile but I cannot present in that format.
I want to duplicate a welcome file and a read me file to all of the dozens of teams in my Figma Enterprise workspace. I have to write a script to do that now. Why can’t I just right click the file and select Duplicate to… and a modal with a multiple selection list of all my teams and a “Duplicate” button? It would work similar to how Move file works now, just with “Duplicate to...”.
Dear Figma developers,I set up many micro-interactions to my buttons in Figma but once I assign an action to it, like navigating to another page after tapping, the prototype jumps straight to the next page, instead of having a delay for the button animation to play. I don't want the animation to happen on mouse over or hovering, just on tapping. Also, I wouldn't like to have to duplicate pages just to work around this issue. It would be much easier to include the after delay option to the on tap option. IMHOThank you very much!
I’m now making presentations for my company in Figma Slides (moving from InDesign) and while I love Figma for its intuitive UI, component systems and collaborative features, I’m finding it to be a huge pain that there isn’t any way to create a simple text reflow from one text box to another. I make word-heavy, 60+ page slides and text reflow is necessary to keep things aligned. Please prioritize building out this feature as it’s essential for any designer working with text, especially in Figma Slides.
It could be very useful, to include “Annotation” in the search feature, for matching text and show them in the search result list.
Org. Admin features our account would like to have:1) Org. Admins should be able to take control of hidden teams. 2) Org. Admins should be able to view what sites or Makes are published 3) There should be a visual distinction between hidden and invite only teams. 4) Export logs should provide more detail, like we can tell if a full file was exported vs. a frame within a file. 5) Workspace admins should not be able to remove a licensed user from the account. 6) There should be an in-app request/approval workflow for users to request new teams (when control is at the org. admin level) or moving teams across workspaces.
We have an extensive content system that lives separately from Figma but is used to craft our UI copy. While people will and do consult the system, if they don’t remember to check, the UI copy doesn’t always follow the rules. It would be amazing if we could import this like a style, a library, or as a Connector so that our Figma Make output is checked against that guidance and the results are much closer to a high-fidelity design. On the flip side of this, managing content strings in Figma for an entire UI is a pain. The content quickly diverges between design iterations and tracking which is the latest and greatest copy is difficult. It would be awesome if there was a way to export/import/sync existing content with other tools - like GitHub repos or Ditto - for better changetracking, translation workflows, etc. Heck, I’d even take a Google spreadsheet at this point. Testing out copy iterations within a design is working much better, for anyone who wants a pro-tip. We turn the text in
After working in depth with using design systems created in Figma Design that are exported to Figma Make I have run into a lot of challenges with getting things to work smoothly. I am wondering if it would not be helpful to allow users to create a design system within Make to be used in Make projects. I usually end up doing a lot of tweaking after importing my design systems to get them right in Make, to the point that it feels like it might be easier to just start from scratch in Make and produce exactly the components I want and from there I would love to be able to export that into a perfect functional design system. I am not a developer but logic is telling me that if Make already knows the code components and tokens, colors etc, it could be able to a produce a better design system than what I export from Figma Design.
(Current list of Figma Make Connectors)The Figma Make Connectors are exciting but unfortunately, the current list doesn’t include any tools my team could use today. What other tools are on the future roadmap? Would love for Shortcut to be sooner rather than later, that would really accelerate my team ideation phase and encourage more thorough ticket writing from everyone. TIA!
Add a laser pointer to the board so it would be easier for the presenter to direct the attention of audiences to specific parts without the need to actually underline, write, circle etc on the board.
Sidebar sections are crucial for our team. We recently downgraded from Organization to Professional and the sidebar sections were removed. I understand they are only for Organization and Enterprise plans, but I ask that you make them available to all paid plans, since there are many organizations with smaller teams who cannot afford Organization or Enterprise plans.
