Currently in the code connect preview modal, the dark/light mode toggle is only a background color override for visibility rather than a trigger for the component's internal logic. It would be much better if we could specify and link the component variant (e.g., Light/Dark) directly within the 'Connect to Code' configuration. The current behavior creates confusion as to whether users are seeing the actual mapped variant or just a default state on a different background.
