When working alone on a FigJam, there should be a hand icon in to top right of the screen where if you’re done with something and start waving, you can just high-five that icon to celebrate and get some supportive feedback 😅

I notice the way you view comments has changed to just a side panel. My team loved the way it was before when you can see where the exact bullet was on the slide. Right now it’s just a vague general area where the comment si 😦

In dev mode it would useful to see the text style applied to text when hovering over a text element, instead of just the ‘T’.

Be able to set a component prop, with a conditional rule, based on a variable. For example, have a variable called category which is either going to have a value of “metal” or “house”. Then for my component, I want a conditional rule such as IF category == "metal" then property == "foo". Also accept ELSE, IF ELSE statements.

Many times, objects are in the right position but are outside the frame. A command to select everything and add them inside the frame would be perfect. We already have CMD / options that allow us to select similar objects and make bulk changes or find all instance in large files. Lets add variables to that list. Learning variables is a lot of trail and error, it will make this initial process much less frustrating if we can mess up and fix it quickly.

A beautifully simple feature would be to automatically copy the share link to clip board when you open the share panel (be it in design or dev mode copy the appropriate link). The collective time saved pulling out links to add to Slack, documentation, Trello, Notion etc would be amazing.

My computer is controlled remotely by our tech support team. I am sure this is not uncommon. I have to submit a ticket and tech support comes into my computer to enter the admin creds to allow for helper tool updating for Figma. Problem is, I usually dismiss the popup modal so I can work without that being in the way. Sometimes is takes a day for tech support to respond. When they do log into my computer, they go to the desktop app Figma settings dropdown in the top left corner. They click to “check for updates” and nothing happens. I just found out that they have to go to Figma.com and download the newest update for Figma - have it replace my current version and then FINALLY the “Figma needs to add a helper tool” modal pops up where they need to enter their creds. The bug is that the Figma desktop app should show updates and a way to update the helper tool via the settings dropdown in the top left. Currently, we end up rage clicking it. Bugs

I want my developer to be able to export images in any size they want without needs to ask every time to change the actual size and create different layer with that size.

Today i received a mail from Figma telling us that rating will again change. Dear Figma, i already lost all the data concerning the like of my Figma communities files with the last change of rating system. I don’t want to lose them again. Rating have a huge impact on how people choose the files they want to use. So please i’m asking to do not change the system again. The save system is better in my opinion.

You have a skeleton for the rest of the landing page. I often create a new file from a template, because of different load times. Would be a better experience if Developer templates are shown as a loading skeleton so that the UI does not jump and thereby lets the user pick something unintentionally. I have created quite a few Async Standup files and it annoys me 😊

18 px is the min size for accessible text when designing for the Xbox. Could you please add this to the type drop down? Most times I just use a style, but it would still be a nice addition.

The library analytics currently only show the usage of variants. I think it makes sense if also the usage of component properties is shown.

When I am approving new team members in my workspace through the notificaiton panel pressing “Accept” closes the panel, opens the team modal and takes me away from the task of approving all requests. Approvals/Denials take forever when there are a lot of them. Let me stay in the notification panel to keep clicking all the available “Accept” or “Decline” buttons so what I am doing is not interrupted. Thanks!

Add an eyedropper to copy the style of any text. Often, when you sketch a new design, you don’t use styles, but then you need to transfer the design to a ready-made template and it takes a lot of time to edit ready-made styles.

This used to work, and most all other MacOSX applications allow the ability to drag the area around the close, minimize, and maximize buttons at the top left of the application window. In the recent updates in the past few months this is no longer a drag area resulting in having to resize the window down when you don’t have a draggable window area with multiple files open and the right empty area is off screen.

It would be awesome to have a icon only version of the layer side panel. Or a collapsable version of it. This was it is only a small sliver of a side panel. This would be great to gain additional screen real-estate for laptop usage. Maybe like a photoshop style or slacks updated UI. Just food for thought, those may not be the perfect examples.

It would be very useful to see Branch names in the Version History, instead of simply “Branch created” and “Branch merged”. Abstract’s ‘Commits’ section allows for much better traceability when looking back at changes made to the Main file.

I love Sections, and have been using them quite a lot. But found that a lot of basic functionality I got trained by using Frames are not present in Sections which makes it detrimental when using them. Alongside missing auto-layout features, I also greatly miss the ‘Clip content’ feature that would make the contents easily cropped. Please add this functionality to Sections 🙏

Dear Figma, sometimes I need this tricky trick. Working on new variant in moment I need to click on layer inside (1, circle), use [Cmd+option+K] (2) to get new comp outside (3) and Copy of this comp in place (1).

We build multi-page design files and it would be so useful to be able to create parent and child pages in the left navbar in expandable/collapsible sections (similar to how the Assets tab used to perform to view and access components across multiple libraries – the old design/interaction pattern was easier to navigate. I’m often lost in the new one, selecting one library to view its components at a time. I like to be able to view and access diff components from diff libraries at the same time. I’ll often have two different libraries expanded at once.)

It would be rad to be able to click a colleague’s cursor icon to follow them in addition to finding and selecting their avatar. This will save time searching for the correct person to follow, especially when they don’t have custom images active and many colleagues have the same initials.

Hello everyone ! Here is my problem: I would like to see all the layers related to a category without tapping any word in the search bar of the “Find” panel. Exemple : I want to export all the images present on my design. I would like when select “Images” category in the filters, to find all the images in my layers. For now it’s empty, i have to enter something.
