On the “Members” page of the admin section, it’s possible to filter the list by one or more criteria. One of these filters is “seat type”, with the values “viewer”, “full”, and “viewer-restricted”.
The problem is, the “seat type” filter doesn’t really do anything:
Filtering by “viewer” shows both “viewer” and “viewer-restricted” seats. As a result, it’s not possible to distinguish which people could be upgraded by anyone vs. those whose upgrades require admin approval.
Filtering by any value applies the value to any seat type (design, dev, FigJam). So it’s impossible to distinguish between who has a “full” licence for design seats vs. dev seats vs. FigJam seats. “Full” shows anyone who has a full licence for anything.
Worse, since our organization has a policy to set “viewer-restricted” for FigJam, selecting either “viewer” or “viewer-restricted” filters (see my first point, just above) shows… everyone.
The “Members” page was already a bit difficult to work with when there were only two seat types. But now, with the introduction of the dev seat, it’s even more important to be able to filter and find people who need a new licence or for their licence to be changed.
Could this please be added to Figma’s backlog for improvements?
