As a user I want the text to auto-adjust: in this way I can write sticky notes different in length (without breaking them in height).
As described in the title, links are broken as soon as you cut a frame and paste it elsewhere (on the same page, in the same file). How to reproduce this issue:Copy the link to any selected frame Save the copied link somewhere Cut the previously selected frame and paste it elsewhere (same file, same page) Open the saved link The link no longer leads to the frameSuggested solution: When a frame is cut and pasted, the associated link ID should not be lost.
A lot of AI features in Figma so far seem to be generative, which IMO is mostly fruitless for the core auidence as current models are not capable of new problem solving, only generating variations of the combined knowledge of everything that has been observed before, without understanding the context of decisions made to implement design choices as well. Where I can see see value add is in other aras. QA for example - perhaps pointing a dev URL at the tool to see how front-end have developed the designs and comparing to what was in the original figma (visually, not comapring the code generated by Figma, which is often not all that helpful in established systems) - could help catch mistakes and also documwent intentional changes in the design to development process.
The experience of Move to Page can be frustrating and inefficient. That's because when a user moves a frame/section to another page:there is no immediate feedback to where the element was placed user must manually go to the page and search for the moved element often, the element is placed using the same absolute coordinates, and that can result in it being placed on top of other elementsThis creates unnecessary hassle, especially in large files with many sections, frames and components. I can think in 3 possible solutions for this problem, I hope my suggestions can help y'all (and myself!):Auto-navigate after moving: after using Move to Page, automatically switch to the destination page and bring the moved frame into view, allowing the user to immediately position it (similar behavior in Apple Finder). Smart placement instead of absolute coordinates: instead of preserving exact x y coordinates, place the moved frame in a visible empty area, or far from existing content to avoid overla
Can somebody explain to me what is the point in having multiple stroke layers when they:SHare the same size Share the same offsetAnd another question is is there any way of doing offset to a stroke or drop shadow? I really need this for our focused state in our design system and what I found was only wanky workarounds...
In their current state, comments try to accommodate multiple use cases into a single system: general note-taking, questions to ask stakeholders, functionality/purpose annotations, feedback, prototype tour points, etc. When all these use cases pile up in a single page, it could easily start to reach over 100 individual comments and makes it difficult to distinguish between them. I’m proposing expanding the functionality of the comments feature to allow for the most common use cases to be different comment types. Invision does a great job of this by changing the color of the pin when a certain comment type is selected. This allows users to quickly identify the most relevant comments to them and ignore the rest. (From Invision) What would make it even better is if the visibility of types of comments could be filterable from the right toolbar. When the comment tool is active, editors could filter down which types of comments they would like to see. They could also determine if a comment t
It’s hard to believe that Figma, in 2026, still doesn’t support custom prototype devices based on the Flow Starting Point…Most designers create landing pages like this: Desktop and Mobile (at least). Why do I always have to manually change the device settings whenever I switch between devices?”
There should be a value (number) insert field for fill properties i.e. Exposure, Contrast, Saturation, etc. So that we can insert a desired numerical value and if we want to copy that same properties to another image let’s say, then it would be much easier. Right now if I try to use the “copy properties” feature, it also copy the image with it and paste the same same image(with properties) to another image which is not what I wanted. So if there’s a number input feature, it would be more easy to just copy the exact numbers for the desired properties and apply them to other image.
I wish it was possible to drag and drop images directly from my web browser, instead of having to copy & paste it all the time, which takes longer. I’m on a Windows 11 PC.
I’ve been teaching my coworkers to give figma slides presentations, which are superior to google slides partly because of the inherited prototyping features. One reason I still make hand-made slides is non-linear presentation structure -- if I could copy and paste a link to a specific slide, in viewer mode, and link it to a component, I’d convert my whole team. We have a pretty important presentation that needs this feature and I’d prefer not to build it from scratch.
The official Figma MCP server currently supports Design files and FigJam, but not Figma Slides. This is a significant gap.Use case: We use Claude Code with the Figma MCP to generate designs programmatically. Being able to create and populate Figma Slides decks via MCP would be a game-changer for our agency workflow -- we produce dozens of presentations per month (pitches, case studies, client reports) and want to leverage AI to draft them directly in Figma Slides. What's missing:create_new_file only accepts "design" and "figjam" as editorType -- needs a "slides" option use_figma / get_design_context should work with Slides files (reading and writing slide content, speaker notes, layouts) Ideally: slide-specific primitives (add slide, reorder slides, set slide transitions)Why it matters:Figma Slides is positioned as the modern alternative to Google Slides / PowerPoint AI-assisted presentation creation is one of the highest-demand use cases Community projects like figma-slides-mcp and mon
If you are using the “isolate” function on the Figma AI image Editor, you must have noticed that the image below it fills it in with an assuming background. Often, you need to copy that, and put the isolated part back into the original image, (I don’t always want the function to be destructive, nor do I like creating endless copies, just so I can isolate something) . I am proposing a feature that lets you simply copy the “isolated” part of the image, allowing you to paste it somewhere while still keeping the original intact. My current workflow: I am “isolating”, copying, and then undoing the action to get the “isolated” part back into the original image. Often, due to slight of hand, I undo the isolation faster than I copied it, and that leaves me with the option to do it again (if redo is not working) and wait for it to isolate. Sometimes I just want a part of the image without the original being destroyed. What do you think about this feature?
Almost all of the work I do happens in branches, so I’m often jumping between different branches across different files. (And I break out in hives if I have 20 tabs open at a time 😅). I’m having a hard time finding the stuff I need.Since we can’t search for branches, how about putting recently viewed branches under the “Recents” tab?(I did try adding frequently-visited branches to my sidebar, but that got out of hand pretty quickly.)
When I’m working with components, sometimes I don’t plan for all states ahead of time, and find myself overriding elements within an instance. I’d love to be able to push an override to the main component, creating a new variant of that component, instead of having to return to the main component to go through the process then and there. I think this would be helpful for library/pattern maintenance without disrupting me while I’m in a flow state.
Hello! I feel that there should be a option to set a “default” or “display” variant for components, which shows at all times while viewing instances within Edit/Dev views of Figma pages. Perhaps a checkbox or a toggle which allows this to happen, so if it is left unchecked the component acts as normal. Perhaps someone could provide some information on what the best practices are for solving this problem that I have, or else I suppose this post should stand as a feature request. The reason being is that for components which have complex animations built into them using variants as keyframes, the first frame of the animation may not properly represent the purpose of the whole component when it is viewed outside of “Present” mode. The component may be blank when viewing in Edit/Dev mode, but when presenting the content animates in. Here is an example:Component - Variant 1It appears blank when viewing outside of Present Mode.Component - Variant 2The content appears, but only if I manually

I’m trying to find the CSS properties in dev tools for the glass effect, but can’t find any styles related to it at all. How do I share this with devs? There’s nothing as much as even a background blur mentioned. the only styles I can find are border radius and bg color, both of which I applied to my comp, and are not related to the glass effect at all. All help is much appreciated. TIA
I would like to be able to selected multiple child components which are all associated with the same parent component and edit their shared nested instance properties across all selected child components.
Hello, Credir Card is out of date payment method, especially when you ask for security code and expiry year. We do not carry the wallet any more, not even the credit card or cash. As Chinese people in China, we have our own credit system for payment, we use AliPay or Wechat Pay, it is very concenient and safe and reliable, we just need to scan the QR codeusing our mobile phone. Please talk to AliPay and establish your cooperation with the company, then you will have more Professional users and we are willing to pay. Please do not let the payment method stuck our relliance Figma. Otherwise you are pushing us to have our own Figma and you will be losing us. Thank you, Litao
There is no way to add spaces between words in typography section in Figma. There is a huge difference between letter spacing and word spacing in typography. However, we only have the ability to change the spacing of letters instead. There is even a CSS property called word-spacing. word spacing in CSS Letter spacing in CSS So can we have the simple word spacing feature added to Figma typography section
Within CSS padding spacing, it goes:Padding: TopBottom LeftRight;While figma visual editor has: Padding: LeftRight Top Bottom;
Hello everyone!Somehow Figma design started to show tags on video in canvas. Not in jam, not in dev mode or prototype, just basic canvas.Didn’t find any options to turn it off, figma support agent didn’t help.I have no HTML tags option in right sidebar, no annotations enabled and such, how can I turn them off?
I’d like to suggest an improvement that would streamline the design process—especially when working with components.Currently, when resizing or aligning elements, I need to press the ALT key to view spacing measurements (such as padding, margin, and distance between elements). This adds unnecessary friction, especially during frequent adjustments. My suggestion is to add a toggle in the settings that allows users to always show spacing measurements by default. This way, whenever an element is selected, its padding, margin, and size can be instantly visible—without needing to hold down a key or guess the values. This feature could be customizable. For example: Always show padding/margin/size values when selecting an element. Let users choose which measurements they want to see by default (padding, margin, width, height, etc.). This wouldn't overcomplicate the UI but would significantly increase efficiency, especially for developers, UI/UX designers, and those working with design systems
I need the option to be able to share a presentation with clients in a way that doesn’t allow for members of my team to make updates that client will see while they are reviewing. This would also be incredibly helpful for internal reviewing. This could be in allowing a link to only be updated manually and/or adding an additional layer of permissions. Generally my pain points are: Designers have accidently make updates to a working file and it threw off clients who were actively reviewing the work and added confusion My company uses Page Proof for internal routing already but our clients are happy to use Figma to give us feedback. I need to be able to facilitate internal conversations around client feedback without the client seeing the discussion. Page Proof allows links which works well with Figma, but if the designer forgets to make a duplicate page the comments don’t align with the prototype anymore. Duplicating pages to “archive” rounds is cluttering my files If there are better
The way that it works already when selecting fonts from the menu for text without a class applied
