I has 2 screen, one is 14 inch macbook, another is 32 inch monitor. This the premise. I usually open main work window in monitor, and design library window in macbook, so I can easy find the right design component and directory copy/paste to use it. but when I adjust side bar width in one windows, it will affect another one. In 32 inch window, I want right sidebar bar to be wider, but it make sider bar in 14 inch window wider too, and become hard to use since the small stage area for design.
I don’t know how to focus and follow on paid documents, i want to add to my favorites
this button so big! class="widget-button btn collapse-up no-text btn-icon"
I like holding shift to draw straight lines but I want to be able to drag that to 45 degree angles.
I wish there was a checkbox next to the slide number on the left to check to mark as complete! It could highlight it somehow and offer a different highlight on the slides not marked complete. Then as you can the toolbar of slides it’s really easy to see which ones need your attention still. I can’t work linearly. LOL Even a % complete bar at the top to encourage you to keep going and finish it!
UI3 List Elements such as Layer List or Colors are quite small and have a tiny click area. Could you increase the size of the elements again or give an option to increase overall size of the UI? Old UI felt less condensed.
For some use cases it would be amazing to have the possibility to group different flows into a folder, currently the alternative is to: create new empty frames Turn these frames into flow starting points Rename them with ------ Reorder to use them as dividers
I’d like to sort stickies by creation date, added as an option here
Is there a way to revert from previous UI layout to UI3 and activate the AI feature? I had an early access to Figma AI and UI3 and I’m sure I was able to switch between those pretty easy. But now somehow now I cannot find how to switch back to UI3? Thanks in advance
Hi community, I love that we now have the ability to use separators between pages in Figma. It would be really cool to have something similar in the starred section for projects. Keep up the good work! Julia
Can we apply variables to the animation in the prototyping here
I often have a trailing icon component, ellipsis or “show more” component displayed at the end of text. As requested from several other contributors, I think it would be valuable to have the ability to add a component within a text element so that it adapts to the position of where it is located within the text.
In Keynote, set slides to be hidden. Are there any plans to implement this feature? (This feature would be incredibly useful for creating materials that can be adapted for different situations!)
I don’t know about you but I use 50 times a day the maj+S hotkey to add a section, but I never used the Slice feature. It should be easier to add a section than a slice 🙂
I’ve observed that currently, you have to break a font style to apply strikethrough or underline. It would be incredibly useful if all font options, including underline and strikethrough, were available when creating a font style. This enhancement would eliminate the need to break font styles solely to apply these formatting features.
Please allow device orientation change from Portrait to Landscape when viewing a prototype with a device. This would help with presentations emmensely.
Would be nice to have the possibility to “lock” main branch from editors changes. To force that all changes have to go by “Pull requests”. By this way you have a clean workflow when there are a lot of people working on the libraries.
AI is all very good, but I’d like to be able to style text decoration on links, such as the line weight, offset, dotted or dashed, etc. At the moment, it seems that you can’t, for some reason. In the software everyone uses to make digital designs.
Background: As an agency owner, I am concerned about project security while working remotely with my design team. I worry that my designers may duplicate our Figma projects on their personal accounts. Idea: To address this, I request that Figma add a feature that allows owners to restrict the duplication of projects. This will help maintain control and confidentiality in our work. Thanks!
In the old UI, you could easily use the ‘select matching layers’ option or the ‘create component’ options without having to jump from Prototype to Design and back. This makes it more complicated. The rulers used to be closer to the canvas (inside of the layers panel) but now it is at the far left of the screen which is a pain. Also, the fact that the layers and properties panels are floating with ‘space’ between the left and right margins makes the background in that space really distracting. It would also be really handy to have keyboard shortcuts for ‘make multiple components’. Can we also have ‘add multiple autolayout’ to several selected frames at once without actually linking them together in one autolayouted frame (similar to multiple components) - with matching keyboard shortcut.
We really like the changelog displayed on the Ready for Dev page. It’s a great place for our developers to track changes we’re making to designs, and the ability to add notes helps a lot. There is one pain point that makes it frustrating to use. Any change we make to a section changes the Ready for Dev status to a yellow pending status. Sometimes these changes are just layer reordering or renaming for improving visual presentation, with no affect to the actual component(s) that developers or others designers need to be made aware of. When we complete the “Done with changes” step, it adds a new activity at the top of the changelog and causes confusion with developers who are asking what was changed. This also pushes the changes that we do want developers to know about down the changelog. Please introduce a way to either: Return to the green “Ready for Dev” status without it creating a changelog activity Hide specific activities from the changelog Our current workaround is to put a not
Team pricing plans are extremely inconvenient for freelancers. Case: I am a freelance designer and I want to share my project with a freelance developer. For us to work in the same file with editing rights (and dev mode), one of us must invite the other to the team and pay for additional editor. And it’s not a “small team”, we are still freelancers. And this is just one case, freelancers work with other freelancers: designers with illustrators, designers with developers, even developers with developers. They don’t need to create a team, they need to work on one project and split up. Personal plans would allow freelancers to work without restrictions and incomprehensible additional fees.
Our team has implemented semantic/component tokens however it has been pretty frustrating for us not to be able to investigate the original primitive token that it is pulling from. Most of our component colors are just named after the component and so when creating new styles it becomes hard to copy what other components are doing. I wish there was a way to investigate the token to see basically the info that is in the local variables panel at the source.
If I move a configuration of shapes and words, and then realize it’s not what I want, I can’t undo and go back to how I had it set up. Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.)
