it's great working with figma but there's one proble that i stuck with is that when there is a lots of content like frames, images etc. in layers panel its stacked randomly and when try to assemble everything on screen like adding images, small frames, logos, or text to a bigger frame or page like creating a poster so on screen it looks like everything is stacked in side the base frame but in layers panel its not can add a feature like you have move to different page and also can be moved to within frame lists in layers panel without scrolling or manually doing it
I create prototypes for TV using a Flirc device to enable us to test with a remote control that is mapped to keyboard keys using your key/gamepad option in the interaction details panel. The ability to long-press a key on the remote is a key interaction for us and the addition of a drop-down menu to enable the long-press of certain keys (amongst other options) would be greatly appreciated! I have created a mock-up of one way that this could work… but would welcome any way to achieve what I have described above!
Hi! This wouldn't seem like a nut job to implement, but can we have opportunity for us to add favicon for dark/light modes instead of one in Figma Sites? The dark mode is being standardized across every platform and browser nowadays, so it just makes sense to have a chance to set that for figma site.https://favicon.im/blog/favicon-for-light-dark-modes
Hello, We're starting to use Figma Buzz in my company. For me, being connected to a library of assets will allow the marketing team to respect our graphic charter and easily produce interesting content for social networks. But in fact, I can't delete other libraries from Figma Buzz in the left panel. Which is annoying, because the marketing team could use them (because it’s here...) , but we don't want to. Is there a way to remove them from the left panel here (attached picture) ? Have a nice day, Adrien
As a visual designer who frequently exports frames for various use cases, I would like to request a feature enhancement in Figma’s export capabilities.Specifically, it would be highly valuable to have an option (in the export panel for each frame) to export selected frames as JPG / PNG files with the ability to: Set a maximum target file size for each exported image, where Figma would intelligently adjust the JPEG quality/compression to meet that limit. Apply these settings on a per-frame basis for flexible control over output quality and file size. This functionality would significantly streamline workflows for designers who need optimized images for web, mobile, or other platforms with strict file size constraints, reducing reliance on external compression tools and multiple export steps.Thank you for considering this enhancement. I truly appreciate the continuous improvements Figma makes to empower creative workflows.
Hi there.I prefer the output of Google Imagen 3 model for AI generated images. Every time I generate a new image, I have to change the model.I’d like an option somewhere to set my default model.Cheers
Hi,I’ve been playing with the Slides app. Very nice. Especially the toggle on the toolbar that enters/exits “Design Mode.” Please, please, PLEASE add that to FigJam. We would use it all the time. Thanks!
Hi Figma team, I’m a Graphic Designer excited to use Figma Buzz as a potential replacement for tools like Adobe Express and Canva. However, I've run into a couple of limitations that would be great to see addressed:1. Layers Visibility & Basic Manipulation in Buzz: As a designer, I can switch to "Design mode" to see and organize layers, which is great. However, for non-designers using Buzz templates, the concept of "layers" doesn’t exist. This means they can't easily do things like bring an image forward, send text backward, or directly select an element to change its color or replace an image. It would be great if there was a way for all users to interact with the visual stacking order and select individual elements within a layers panel in Buzz.2. More Flexible Locking in Templates: Currently, when elements in a template are locked, users can typically only swap components. I'd love to see more granular control over locking. For example, I'd like to lock the position of elements
Would like ability to have the ready for dev mockups sorted within page top to bottom, left to right.Right not it seems sort by page defaults to sorting by recent activity within a page. Our designers tend to like designing multiple site pages within one figma page. Ready for dev mode has made it much more clear for me to see what I am actually supposed to build. Only downside: there is no good sort option to keep the mockups in the intended order (how they are on the page). Asking design to alphabetize each site page does not sound reasonable because of how much they would need to manage that as things change.
Right now, designing for scrolling views is a pain. We need to resize the parent frame to see all content, and then shrink it down again to the correct size to see it in action. Some possible solutions:add an option for the parent frame to hug contents in editor mode only add some kind of pop-out view to frames with out-of-view content allow us to substitute / link frames: one frame holds the content, another (maybe even as part of a component) displays it. They should not need to have the same size, but should probably share the same layout-settings. This would also be helpful for the general design flow
Restore this version in history works but after closing history the wrong version is shown again. How do I make the Restored history the current version?
I’ve just found out that Figma isn’t compatible with iOS VoiceOver controls, which kind of alarms me. I’m designing an app for disabled users and one of my blind participants opted to use their phone to test the prototype. I’m shocked that Figma doesn’t support assistive devices. I’d assume that an app with the purpose of helping designers/developers make innovative interfaces would include such a feature. Has anyone else noticed this?
As we now have string variables, would be amazing to extend it to reflect the status of a certain copy. Here is why: It is always a challenge to integrate UX content designer workflow into agile process, most of the time the content is in review when the implementation has already started. I have recently started breaking down mockups to store approved copy in variables, however I do miss the ability to explicitly mark it as approved, so engineers would be able to see this status in dev mode. There is already ‘Text content’ section there, so small In progress/Approved hints would be really helpful.
Specifically, at organisation level, when there are multiple projects or team projects, there are too many collaborators, comments and discussion in the comment sections on Figma. Is there a way for a user to mute notifications for specific project or a file?
Recently while making a scrollable form inside a modal as obvious i clipped the frame which contained the fields so it doesn’t spill over others. But inside that form container there are dropdown fields which are also getting clipped whereas it shouldn’t.It would be great if some elements or their states could ignore the “clip content” it will be a big time saver for us, please figma 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏It can be really helpful for dropdowns
also related to Set default values for Section padding (left, right, top, bottom) instead of a fixed 80px A request for aesthetic Section, recently works well with the shortcut “cmd+opt+shift+R” Resize to fit. this is really productive. problem — the current 40px default looks “too small when holding things like lots of screens, pages.” yet i know it looks good for components and variants suggestion — allow user to set Default Padding size in Percent. it could be around the Nudge Amount Settings.
Currently when I copy text that has it’s styling set by a variable in our component library then paste that text string into a collection it also creates an additional variables (and it’s associated modes). If we could lean on the standard Shift + CMD/Ctrl + V shortcut to paste without any formatting that would remove the extra step of deleting the erroneous variables or pasting the text elsewhere to remove the formatting and back into the collection.
I would love to be able to do more in Slides via the API. Specifically it would be great to be able read and write text in the slides via the API, so we can convert other content into Slides easily or update our Slides decks easily.
I made a form field where additional text can be shown to the right of the entry. I only need text on the right, so I didn’t wrap it in a frame like the entry field. I had to set the height of the text container to a set value so it lines up with the entry on the left. However, if I switch it to hug the contents of the text, I can’t choose to only hug the width without changing the height. I can’t use line height - it centers instead of positioning on the bottom. Obviously, I could wrap it in a frame, and then the frame can control hug separately. This is just a pain, adding more structure that I wouldn’t otherwise need if it just did what it looks like it does. It also took me a bit to realize what was happening, since I assumed that if I set hug on the width, it would only hug the width. This was also shared here in a closed thread so I don’t think this is a just me thing. If there are two controls and I change one, it should only change that one. If I wanted to change both, I would
Apparently you can’t change these things.I could understand if you didn’t want to allow changing the kind of topic since my understanding is that if a question has a marked answer and you wanted to change to conversation you wouldn’t know what to do about this. But at least I think it should be reasonable to allow users to change the title and category. People make mistakes sometimes...
I want to ask 3 things, but I’m not sure if it would be appropriate to create one post for each:The keyboard shortcuts panel feels awkward. Either allow the user to resize it or make it a popup si you have more space to view the shortcuts more comfortably. Actually show all shortcuts. There are many that aren’t available there so you can’t really use it as a reference. For instance, Alt+R adds a mark in the center of the selected element, but when I went to the keyboard shortcuts menu to understand what this mark actually is I couldn’t find anything and I can’t tell if I am doing more than just adding the mark because I couldn’t find the keyboard shortcut there. Allow the user to enter a keyboard shortcut to learn about it. Currently you can find the keyboard shortcut to do something in particular through Ctrl+P, but not the other way around.I’m a web developer and I use VSCode. This code editor allows you to see all keyboard shorcuts and filter by combination of keys. Just in case you
We often leave comments with different purposes or to different roles in the company (stakeholder, copy, dev, UX/UI, etc.) It would make it much easier to identify the comments relevant for you if we had the option of color coding or tagging them (and filtering your comments view to only show those relevant to your work). This would especially make large projects easier.
I don’t think I need to say anything more. It’s weird that this doesn’t exist.
Context:While working on a design system in Figma, I’ve created a set of color tokens using the new Variables feature. These tokens are organized and published via a shared Library for consistent use across projects.Issue:When selecting a color from the Variables panel (especially from Libraries), the color swatches are visible, but no color values or token names are displayed on hover. This makes it difficult to quickly identify or differentiate between similar shades—especially in large systems with many tokens. Why This Matters:Designers often rely on visual cues and quick access to token names or values. Without hover details, we’re forced to memorize or constantly reference documentation. It slows down the workflow and increases the chance of using incorrect tokens.Proposed Solution:Please consider adding a tooltip or hover state that displays:The token name The color value (e.g., HEX, RGB, or HSL)This small UX improvement would significantly enhance usability and efficiency when w
