Hi Figma Team,

I really appreciate the Actions menu and how powerful it is for speeding up workflows. It’s become an essential part of my design process.

That said, I feel like the current design of the Actions menu misses the mark in a few key ways:

  1. Placement: Right now, it’s anchored at the bottom center of the screen. This feels unintuitive and out of the way, especially for a feature that’s meant to be quickly accessible. Most spotlight-style search interfaces (like Raycast or even VS Code’s command palette) are placed center screen, or slightly above center, which aligns more naturally with where a user’s focus tends to be. Raycast even allows repositioning, but still suggests a more central default – and it works well.

  2. Size & Usability: The current UI for the Actions menu feels too small – both in font size and overall scale. It doesn't feel as easy or comfortable to interact with as it could be, particularly for users on larger screens or those who rely on accessibility features. There’s room for improvement in making the menu more prominent and user-friendly.

I’d love to see an update that makes the Actions menu feel more central, more interactive, and more visible. A little polish here would go a long way in making an already great feature feel truly seamless.

Thanks for all the hard work, and I hope this feedback helps!

"Nice update! The actions menu redesign looks good."
