I was thinking of a button like clip content with frames but for shapes! to help with designing icons and vectors, if there was a clip content option anything outside of the shape would not be visible. I think this would be helpful but not sure how useful it would be for others. Also I cannot seem to figure out the slice tool? maybe it is different than adobe but I cannot get it to work (trim excess from two intersecting shapes/vector paths).

Really I have no idea what I am talking about but if someone knows how to make better use of the existing features to help me understand how they work with shapes please let me know.
