Connect or embed FigJam files with Figma files

Please can we make files have pages which are Figma or FigJam? It would make my work cleaner to have the brainstorming and research from FigJam in the same file as my Figma work.

The more files I make the harder it is to know which is the relevant FigJam file to Figma. I don’t want to buy a more expensive license than Professional to solve this problem

What if there were no differentiation between FigJam and Figma files?
Instead of introducing a toggle “FigJam ↔ Figma” and based on that, the UI changes. (Same between Figma ↔ DevMode)

Even more amazing would it be to have a three-way toggle
FigJam ↔ Figma ↔ DevMode

It would be useful to have the option to create a Figma file page as FigJam board. Sometimes is useful to have a workshop or brainstorm session attached to a Figma design file.

This would be great for my use case: I create Use Flow Diagrams in FigJam (because it’s easier than in Figma). I would like to use the Diagrams to create my Design in Figma. Right now I copy the diagram to Figma to keep it in view, but this creates another source of truth.

I just want to have a clean, editable flow diagram inside a Figma file sitting beside UI—without using a buggy plugin.

There seems to be a huge demand for a connection between FigJam and Figma Design.

My need: I want a section from FigJam to appear in Figma Design. Basic view is fine, no edit options, but it has to be live-linked.

Context: We use FigJam for wider stakeholder collaboration and Figma for product design team. I currently want the collaborative and iterative user flows to appear as a section in Figma. Screenshots from FigJam are unsafe as the user flows change a lot. Switching between FigJam and Figma tabs are tedious. For Figma Design collaboration it’s more powerful to have relevant info in one place.

Solution ideas: A plugin which convert a FigJam section to an iFrame. Pasting it into Figma allows for live updates.

I just started using FigJam and Figma today. I assumed that this would be an obvious two-click capability. I was quite surprised to find out it isn’t.

why not be able to have a page in the Figma file which can be FigJam?

+1 for this as well. Haven’t read the last 3 years of comments, but I can understand full FigJam functionality within a Figma might be complex. Can we at least start with basic FigJam functionality? Support for bottom bar functions (Stickies, stamps, etc)? I’d love to have full project work contained in 1 file. I would also love FigJam sticky component as easily accessible in Figma files!

Instead of separating the documents, users should be able to decide if they would like their design pages and FigJam pages together in the same document.

I would love to be able to just have one file type and then be able to choose design vs FigJam on the page level within the file.

This would be helpful to reduce having to navigate between files and be able to store flows, bainstorming, and artifacts in the same place as the wireframes and designs.

Allow the creation of new pages within a Figma Design project where we can choose a FigJam option. This way, we can link something to a project without needing two separate files.

I often find myself with 2 files per project; 1 for mapping and ideation (in FigJam) and 1 for working (Figma)

I often copy and paste a flow from FigJam into Figma, but I’ve always wanted to have a FigJam page within my working Figma file.

This would be great to consolidate more of the design process into one file!

I’m very much still waiting for this feature. Creating a flowchart for my projects is easier in FigJam but it would help out a lot if they can be referenced inside the Figma file with the designs

I’d love to have Figma and FigJam in one file.

We organize our working files by creating a new one for each feature or initiative. We now have 1 FigJam file for shared notes, 1 Figma file for conceptual work and wireframes, at least one FigJam file for stakeholder presentations (maybe slides in the future) and 1 Figma file for the high fidelity designs and handover. It would be absolutely wonderful, to move all of those in one file with several pages. The pages (or even sections?) can still be restricted to be either Figma, FigJam or slides, but they should be able to all live in one file. This would be extremely helpful for us!

I guess this is just my own flavour of the same thought as everyone else here 🙂

Figjam pages within a Figma document would be great for keeping all project documentation together.

(i.e. one document can contain both Figma and Figjam pages)

Was about to submit it as a separate feedback, and wasn’t surprise to see it’s already a full thread - so adding the feedback I had here.

• As many of the projects have a figma file , and figjam file - easily linking between the two would be great, we often find that we instead duplicating information (project board of sort for example) to both files, trying to use one sort of file for as long as we can even when not optimal (rough concepts in figjam, or trying to stay on figma for things like workshops, or information captured and/or visualized such as diagrams and flows).
  • Is this something Figma is looking into?
  • It would be great to know if there is anything that currently exist that could help or used that we were not aware of.
  • would love to hear from anyone who might have a good workaround.

I share the same thought as many people here, it would be awesome to have some features of the Figjam, or maybe a mode in Figma files to use the whole features of figjam. Actually, I am using figjam aside my figmas, and it’s sometimes really annoying to use the different features between the two and then copying and pasting things between figjam and figma files.
