I’d like to use border radius to make a frame into a circle by just entering 50% (preferably as a variable). That way, if the frame is made larger at some point later, it would still be a circle. I do have a workaround for now, which is just to put a really large border radius value, but this seems like a hacky way to do it.
Hi there,I was handing over a component (Toggle) and got feedback that they can see only SVG in the DEV mode and they cannot properly inspect the element and especially the inner parts (the circle) of the component. The only way to prevent it is to add auto layout to it. As I learned by testing. I checked with my other colleagues and they have the same issue. I don't necessarily want to add auto layout to everything and SVG is useless to DEVs.Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
I’ve recently started building with Figma Sites and loving the flexibility so far. However, I noticed there’s currently no straightforward way to add micro-interactions or smooth animations—something tools like Jitter do really well.I wanted to ask: Is there any current way to add animations or transitions (entry animations, hover effects, etc.) natively or via plugins/integrations? If not, is this something the Figma team is planning to introduce in future updates?
Hi Figma and communityI’m currently in the midst of setting up our typography as variables, and one thing I’m really struggling with / frustrated by is the inability to setup lineheight as an ratio or percentage, and being able to either mathmatically do calculations with existing variables or having font size as rem.The reasons this is / will be a longterm frustration are:It makes the conversation with developers hard, either we have to calculate the rem everytime, as we designers have the pixel and the devs have the rem The same conversation goes with line height btw If we want to change a font-size we have to change the lineheight as well, rather than it being a dynamical product. If we want change our font-sizes, lineheight etc…, for a breakpoint (or a theme we cannot do this dynamically, we have to do it manually for each style that we have.
Hi Figma team,I love the new Make functionality. It’s a great leap in AI-powered prototyping and really helps kickstart new ideas. One feature I’d love to see is the ability to export a Make file as a full Figma design file. This should include all frames, components, and structure so the generated output can be used as a real starting point in the design workflow. It would also be amazing if the export included notes or reasoning behind layout decisions, interaction flows, component use and general functionality logic. That added context would make it much easier to understand and iterate on what the AI generated. This would really close the loop by turning an AI-generated concept into something editable, sharable, and production-ready.Thanks for pushing the boundaries. Really looking forward to what’s next.Best,Alessandro
Hi there,I'm using an .xlsx spreadsheet in my Figma Buzz template. I link all the fields and it updates and creates new art (yay) but the spreadsheet disappears so if i have additional files to make or want to update content, I have to start over with linking field. Can you help me understand: How to correctly link or embed a spreadsheet so changes can be synced? If I'm missing a step to update or refresh the data after editing the file? Thanks in advance!
I’d like to suggest a feature improvement for Figma based on a recurring pain point I’ve encountered. When creating a modal (popup) component, I often need to display the background content underneath a semi-transparent mask. Currently, this means I have to manually copy content from other Frames into the modal component. If the original background content changes, I have to go back, delete the outdated version, and replace it manually—this becomes inefficient and error-prone. I’ve tried making the entire page Frame a component and then inserting an instance behind the modal, but this approach feels clunky and unintuitive. What I’m hoping for is a more elegant solution: a dedicated “Backdrop Container” or “Background Mirror” feature within modals. This container would let me configure a specific Frame and automatically mirror its content beneath the modal mask—keeping it synced with the source and reducing repetitive work.
Subject. This is beyond annoying. You guys should stop with these dark patterns
Hi all, use case:to set file display order, now I need to go to per project folder and select the order while most of the time i’d love to view items per alphabetical order everywhere requestif this is existing feature, please let me know how to do that if not existing, please allow option to say “apply this order to all folders” on the dropdown or some other solution that achieve the same goal reference image
There doesn’t appear to be anyway to set text to be multi columns in Figma Slides. I know there are plug-ins to create the effect, however these still don’t allow the text to overflow into the next column. It’s a very common feature across other presentation tools like Keynote and Powerpoint, anyone know a fool-proof work around so I can add it into our company templates?
It would be nice if we could have a setting that defaults to dev mode when opening a file/project. It does stay in dev mode when I’m switching pages within a project which is nice.
Hey there! Figma Slides are SUPERCOOL! Thank you so much! However I have a question:Hidden slide with a closed eye is still pretty big and takes a lot of space in the window. Are there any plans to make it smaller like in Keynote? There it looks like a line, not the whole slide.THANK YOU! 💜💜💜
If I add a comment and tag only myself, I’d love it if the comment could be automatically unread. I use self-tagging as a bookmark/reminder for things I’ll need to come back to, and seeing the unread state makes it easier. And no worries if this already exists as a setting I can toggle.
Would be great to have a move to end or move to front option in Figma slides. If the deck is long, it can take forever to drag slides to the end (most common, editing things out of presentation into a “outs” section) or beginning of a doc.
Hi,For the product I'm designing, we have a lot of functionalities that are part of other functionalities. It would be nice if it were possible to paste designs into another page and make adjustments for both the original and the copy at once. But without turning it into a component (because it's not a component) Thanks!
I feel that there should be the ability for Figma MAKE to look at the variants of a component that is being used from a published library. For example, I have created a text input field component and have asked Fimga MAKE to create this as working text field. I have constructed the component to use variants (Static, Active, Value Added, Error and Disabled) but frustratingly the system is not smart enough to look at the variants I have created in order to base its design from.
Problem:Yesterday we carried out an in-person workshop at work, today I spent almost 3 hours digitizing it in FigJam for the team.Solution:What if I could upload a picture/set of pictures and use an AI-powered feature in FigJam to digitize the content of the workshop session.Pros: Most workshops mainly consist of elements (text, arrows, stickies, etc.) or frameworks (user journeys, retros, etc.) that already exist in FigJam Figma and FigJam already use AI for several tasksCons:Image quality could not be the optimal –in that case, offer image enhancer Text can be illegible –in that case, highlight said content as “TBC” or similar
Maybe I’m the only person who is using icon libraries that need to be adjustable in style to a variety of scenarios (I’m probably not), but the fact that I can’t edit the end points in icon components without detaching the component since years is actually driving me low-key mad. And I have survived a lot of things so far. So curious why this property can’t be edited and if we can please get this ;)
I want the stroke style to inherit all properties, not just colors you know we have :color、size、strokes per side、 inside and outside、 and so on。 I want to write it all down when I create t he styles 🤣
Sometimes pages need to live across Multiple files. Instead of duplicating the pages and creating a new instance of it, it would be good to have one single source of truth. The intended result is to have one page that is in-sync across different files. If it gets updated in file 2, those updates should appear in file 1, and vice versa.Alternatively, just being able to embed a read-only version of the page would be helpful. It could be editable only in the one (parent) file, but is visible in the other.
Currently Figma doesn’t offer all languages, for example Dannish, Finish, Norwegian are not available. Would be perfect to have all languages so that we can translate slides directly.
I’m lost… I cannot tell consistently where the heck I am supposed to find the rounded corners editor for elements. This new UI just feels overly complicated with things jumping around in different places. The other UI was predictable. This one does not seem to be.
I just want to delete all my drafts, but the interface makes it nearly impossible. There's no way to select all, the checkboxes are hard to see, there's no clear "delete all" button, and no visible scroll to navigate the list. The experience is confusing and frustrating for bulk actions. Please make it easier to manage multiple drafts with bulk selection, visible scroll, and more accessible action buttons.
It would be so useful for those in Game Design to be able to create a button from text, using auto layout then a fill to then be able to edit notches, angles and manipulate shapes. You can adjust radius’s so surely it would be a simple addition. I understand it can be done if you add auto layout after but it would just be a better experience if you could do it at the beginning.
The meta info of a comment link shows figma design file icon.Better UX:If a user has figma authenticated on their slack as an integration. The meta info should show the comment text truncated to 30-40 characters.
