Hi, I’m using the API to get json data from a design file. In the Figma design file I’m using “Color Styles” to set File Wide colours to use throughout the design. From the API I’m able to see these styles but the actual colour is not coming back. Is there a way to get this data? I did share one of my Figma projects with a freelancer until he completed his part of the project. After that, I removed his share from that project, but I was surprised that that freelancer still has view access to my project even when I am not sharing with him anymore…this is a big problem right now for me. I can not find a way to end sharing, and I can not move forward with my project while I know someone not wanted has access ability to it. Please, what should I do to end the sharing??
Hello friends, I’ve searched far and wide about this but I truly couldn’t find anything. As you can see in the following screenshot, somehow I managed to create an Autolayout within which a component (Delete in this case) has a weird icon I have never seen. It so happens that it also have a very specific behavior and that it completely ignores any autolayout in the frame. Just like shown in the following GIF (bear in mind i am NOT using Spacebar. That’s not what’s happening) I would really like to know how this occured because I’ve been trying to replicate this forever but I just can’t. 😊 Thanks!
Hey folks, Yesterday my Figma Beta was updated, and it got icons in the file tabs on the top. To put it mildly, this doesn’t help at all. Since I work on the complex product, I have to keep open a lot of files at one time (project files, our design system files, etc). Previously I had visual clues on where any given file is located because I was able to read first letters of the file names. Now for some reason Figma took away this ability from me, and all I can see is a row of the same icon. I can’t imagine how it could be useful? I understand the idea to have a specific icon for prototype, it helps differentiate between open file and its prototype, but what value you’ve put into idea to add similar Figma icons to the file tab? Putting aside an obvious advice to close all ‘unnecessary’ files (I don’t have any at the moment, I need them all, and keeping them all open improves my work speed enormously), what else I can do to get rid of this unhelpful new feature? Thank you!
I was making a design today in which I set a shade of blue as the background color. After finishing when I transferred it to my phone, the color looks completely changed. What’s more annoying is that I am not even sure which one of my devices is showing the true colour 😕 The color was #51238C , in case you want to check across your devices too. Is anyone else facing it or its just me? Any way to fix it or any workaround?
I made a branch where I have important changes that I have not yet merge with the main branch. But when I try to update my branch with the changes in main I get this message: The contact support link takes me nowhere… Thanks for your help
Hello! I have a problem! Some elements are able for using with prototype functions, and some are not. As you can see in the picture some elements have this plus sign that allows them to connect with other screens. And when I am clicking on the last one in the row this function just doesn’t appear! Please, give me advise how to fix it! Thank yoy so much!
I have not seen this be a query. Drop down shadow works well in my mock up. Against everything including boxes and frames and even the buttons. But, on my prototype, it works for all the other but my buttons. I don’t know what I did wrong. I have tried to fix it but it is not working. PS, it is a component in the style sheet.
I thought the share link would go only to the prototype, but it gives users access to the whole file. Is there a way to “hide” the rest of the file from curious clients?
While working on a Figma file, the page refreshed, and when it reloaded my editing rights were changed to View Only. Now all of my files are View only. Is this a known issue right now?

Hi - my colleague and I have the same permissions for a file. Using the web browser, when right clicking on a frame and going to the copy menu, he has the “copy as png” option, whereas I can only see “copy as svg”, “copy as css”, “copy link”. Any advice on how to get the “copy as png” option?
I have a button component made of 3 components, each inside of the other The 1st one is just the contents (icons and text) The 2nd one contains the 1st one plus the background with statuses (active, disabled, etc.), this one overrides colors for the 1st one The 3rd one includes the 2nd one, with height variations Whenever i insert an instance of the button and change some variations, they dont take the color overrides i set in the 2nd one, why does this happen? Hi everyone, Every time I try to replace or place a new Image it opens an old libery from an old project (like its stuck on it) and I have to go to all the way to thru the liberies to the current new project libery every time, it happens on my Windows machine in the desktop app, (on my Mac everything is fine), its quite frustrating, what can I do?
Hello, My flows sidebar is clickable, it works fine BUT it’s full white and totally invisible, here a screencast in this link > I tried everything : close and reopen tabs, quit figma and restart, restart my computer, search for updates, … excluding uninstall Figma and reinstall. Hi, I’m trying to make a simple modal with auto layout. I started with the title “Submit your contact info”. I added Auto Layout(AL) to the title. Then added a white fill around the text. That turns into a modal box. I set AL to be vertical(↓), so I can add more input fields and a button. The modal will AL the height. Now I want to add a close icon X. That’s where I got stuck. This X needs to be anchored to the upper right corner. If I simply drag the X icon in the modal, it gets aligned to the left side as the rest of the input fields. I want the modal to be stretchable. So when you change the width of the modal, the input fields and button widens. I just couldn’t figure out how to set it up. The closest I’ve gotten is to create another AL around the X. Set this AL to be horizontal (→). This pushes the X to the right. But now the X is above the main title. It still doesn’t look right. And when I resize the modal, the input fields don’t stretch(narrows or widens). Pleas help. Thanks.
Besides the workaround of installing the beta version, is it possible to open multiple Figma instances in Windows? I saw in some trhreads that this can be done using Ctrl+Shift+N but that doesn’t seem work.

Is there an option to provide guest access to clients without the need to have an account created and be added to the organisation Figma account to access?
I have a button, which on click changes to another variant. However, on click I also want to open an overlay. So, the problem is that at the moment this is not possible since I can only add one “on click”-interaction. Does somebody have an idea, how I could do both?
Hi guys! I am new to figma. Is it possible to “store” end-user actions within a figma prototype? I don’t mean user data. Lets say I prototype an app with different options, the user can only pick 3/5 different options. Then later, the prototype shows them what options they picked. Is that possible?
