Every time that I create a new component, I have to restart my file to see him appears in the Library research
Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. Can you share a quick video recording / screenshot so I can better visualise it?
Hi, I hope you are doing well ! Here is a screen recording !
Thanks for the screen recording! Which shortcut do you use to open the Library research pop up here?
As a workaround, I’d recommend you to force-quit and clear out the desktop app cache to see if that helps.
Also, as another workaround, you can open the library modal in Figma by using the keyboard shortcut ⌥ Option 2 on a Mac or Alt 2 on Windows, or click directly in the left panel ‘Assets’ , then type your component’s name in the search bar. You will have the option to insert the component as an instance. It should appear automatically without needing to restart your file. I hope this helps!
It sounds frustrating to have to restart your file to see new components in the Library. I hope Figma can address this issue soon! Sharing a video would definitely help in troubleshooting.
I use Shift + i shortcut to open the Library research ! I tried to use ⌥ Option 2 and my component appears without the need of restarting my file.
I’m not used to this shortcut but I will try to get used to it since it solve my issue.
Thanks for the details. I am able to reproduce the issue, I’ve reported to the internal team. Thank you!
